I will never go to see GnR again in this current guise after seeing them at Download a few years ago. The only thing that would drag me out is a decent new album, they've milked this cow for too long now.

Bought tickets to Tesla today for a show coming up in April. I've seen them a handful of times but it's always been as either an opening band or doing an abbreviated set at a festival. Looking forward to seeing them in a more intimate setting as a headliner playing a full set. Also got tickets recently for a Skid Row show coming up in July that's literally 10 minutes from my house Still debating Leppard in August. The bill and ticket cost is just making me pause as I have zero interest in Crue and Cooper and just saw the stadium tour back in August of this year. I wish it were Leppard, Tesla and Skid Row playing a show together!

I went to "An Evening With Bruce Dickinson" yesterday at 013 in Tilburg. That was really much fun. Love the British humor. He even mentioned Def Leppard in his show. And they played From The Inside over the PA between the first and second part of the show. Bruce is a great entertainer/storyteller. He reminded me a little of Joe.

The show lasted almost three hours.

Sooooooo, I have had some interest in Ghost for a bit now. I have listened to a song here or there, but never really sat and immersed myself in an entire album or anything like that. I decided I was going to fly over to Austin and see the show based on the " That looks like an interesting, theatrical show." I highly suggest any of you who can go see this band, do so! The performance was better than expected, the music steals the show! There are I think nine people on stage. The harmonies and dueling guitars ( all though its 3 or 4 guitarist playing live, so not duel?) are all the things as Lep fans we all love!!! I have since listen closely to the newest album, and the guitars are very reminisce of Lep to me at least. So much so I am flying to New York to see them again on Saturday. I can not overstate how impressive the live sound and performance is for this band. Anyone else have comments on Ghost? Anyone else see them? If only I could have seen the Ghost connection (musically) to Leppard! Here is wishing for a tour with these two!!!!!!!!

Well, found myself in a quandry as Skid Row was announced as playing a show at another casino near me on the same day as Tesla show I had tickets for. So I had to make a choice which band to see that night. Decided to sell my Tesla tickets and get Skid Row tickets. Kind of bummed as I wanted to see Tesla do a full set but I have seen Tesla plenty over the years so Skid Row with Erik Gronwall just trumps them for me right now. So now I have Skid Row shows in April and July so should get my fill of them for a bit Bought tickets to Tesla today for a show coming up in April. I've seen them a handful of times but it's always been as either an opening band or doing an abbreviated set at a festival. After 4 or maybe even 5 years of holding on to my tickets the Ozzy tour is cancelled. Disappointed that I won't be seeing him, but its come as no surprise. However I think he may still go out and do some kind of farewell somewhere, even if its just a couple of shows in one city, like Birmingham for example. Thats my prediction anyway.

Had wanted to get Guns N Roses tickets for Saratoga Springs NY in September but just no way I'm paying the prices.
I was watching tickets from the first presale Wednesday through today. Basically, can't get anything decent for less than $500 a ticket unless you want to sit on the lawn for $100 a ticket. Just no way I'm paying over $1,000 for 2 tickets. And I'm not traveling 3+ hours to sit on the lawn.
And of course, it seemed like every ticket in the place was either a VIP ticket or a ticketmaster official platinum ticket that was even more than the VIP tickets lol. And once the official public on sale hit today, suddenly all kinds of resale tickets appear for $1,000 and higher throughout the venue.
Just had to come here and vent as this seems to be a recurring theme with many concerts these days.
My desire isn't overly high to see the band anyways being that Axl's voice is pretty shot. But I still would've checked it out for a decent price and they do play some massive 25+ song sets. Frankly, their sets are probably too long. They probably would be better served cutting them down to 90 minutes as they have a lot of "chicken finger" moments in their sets lol.
Anyways, I'll probably keep checking because prices are bound to drop at some point so maybe I'll still grab some tickets down the road. But this just re-affirmed how much I hate buying concert tickets these days and how frustrating it's gotten. I never used to pass on concerts solely due to price but it's happening more and more frequently.

Its no good playing 3 hour sets when a third of that time is made up of self indulgent cover versions and guitar solos. Couple that with Axl's voice being a shadow of what it was then it means I will never go to see them again. When I last saw them at Download 2018 they lost the crowd on multiple occasions. Wow that was 5 years ago and they are still touring and milking the 3/5 reunion line up and charging extortionate prices off the back of their first 3 albums!. Its become really tedious now and I'd actually like them to go and record a new album at least.

Bruce Springsteen tickets were over $1k when the tour announced, and some shows like Houston ended up with $ 12 tickets the last day. When people stop paying those high prices when shows are announced, prices will go down. If there is no demand and we hold on and not want to buy them right away, ticketmaster will realize they can't continue to rip people off.

Especially when you look at the potential income generated. Like T-Shirt Sales, Food, Alcohol etc... So a previously empty Seat turns into a potential $100 or more... I'm a fan of free tickets or last minute purchases.

Went to see Gun last week on their full band acoustic / electric tour. For anyone not aware of Gun they came through in 89/90 along with the wave of British bands like Thunder, Little Angels, Wildhearts, The Amighty, Skin, Wolfesbane and such like, who all broke through in England just as grunge came along and the reality is that the vast majority of them fell by the wayside.
I first saw Gun support the Leps on the Adrenalize tour in 92 and they were a very good live band, indeed their first 2 albums are arguably up there with the best of that era of British rock (Taking on the World & Gallus). Most people would probably remember them for their cover of Word Up in the mid-90's, but since then they lost their lead singer and the bass player took over singing duties. They've had various line up changes, but the constants have always been the singer / bassist and one the guitarists (they are brothers), they've also added their original guitarist back in to the band and still release new music. I'm sure I've seen them at Download a couple of times and I remember not being impressed with the singer, but on this occasion I think he sounded very much like their original vocalist and I was impressed by them. I was surprised by how many songs I remembered and knew.
Anyway the show was originally billed just the 2 brothers doing an acoustic show, but it changed to become a full band acoustic /electric tour. Both guitarists are on acoustic, but they had an effect where it sounded close to being like an electric when they played a solo. Between tracks they had a bit of banter with the crowd and told some stories of their career. A good night.
Backstreet Brothers Seems like I'm losing You Money (everybody loves her) Don't say its over Never knew what I had Taking on the world Long road Word Up Better days Inside out Steal your fire Shame on you

Agree with Andy about Gun, fantastic band. I thought they would be huge.
Saw Gun open for Lepps in Sheffield on Adrenalize tour. The first album is a classic for me. Saw Gun in Barcelona at a festival Lepps were headlining in 2019, they came on just after midday and were excellent.
Have a friend who lives in Perth, Scotland, he will see them April 28. Fingers xx a 4th band, Gun, gets added for the Glasgow gig.

Saw Skid Row, Great White and Kip Winger this past weekend at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. It's a 5,000 seat venue that I had seen Def Leppard in back in 2005. It was pretty close to sold out then and pretty close to sold out this past weekend also. Kip Winger was first playing basically an acoustic set. I've seen Winger a few times but this was a nice change seeing a stripped back set. Kip sounded great and even ran into him in the Casino earlier in the day and said hello to him. The odd thing about this set though was that everybody stayed seated for his set. It was really very odd and I stayed seated too as I didn't want to be the one oddball standing up and blocking people behind me lol. Next was Great White. I'm only a very casual Great White fan at best and It's the first time I've seen them with their new singer Brett Carlisle. I have to say the sounded excellent and Brett did a nice job with the songs. He's a little young up there at like 26 years old but he sounded good on the old songs and people seemed to enjoy it as about 1/2 the crowd was at least standing lol. Lastly was the band I was there for, Skid Row. I was a fan of these guys back in the day but mostly lost track of them once Bach left the band and haven't been very intrigued by their past replacement singers in the 25 years since. However, Erik Gronwall coming in has changed that for me. His previous band H.E.A.T had probably become my second favorite band to Def Leppard while he was there and now Skid Row might be working their way into that spot. Even before the concert though, things got off to a good start as I was able to get my Skid Row Gang's All Here vinyl signed by the band As for the concert itself, Skid Row put on a great show playing their hits while also playing some songs from their new album. A couple songs I really enjoyed seeing this time around were Quicksand Jesus as well as Time Bomb as those songs weren't played when I saw them last fall. And for this show, I also didn't notice anybody sitting! I'm still hoping I get to see these guys on a bill with Def Leppard here in the USA someday! A couple funny stories though as it can be a curious mix of people at these shows. First off, one guy sitting next to me was 30 years old and had never seen Skid Row before and had no idea who their new singer was. He said he did know some of the hit Skid Row songs though and was just there to rock out and have fun as he enjoys 80's music. I told him the new singer was great and that he'd enjoy himself if he gave it a chance. Well, after the show he was like "You were right, that was fantastic!" And then there was the guy sitting behind me who on the way out of the venue he turns to me and says, "That singer still has the pipes. He still sounds as good as he did 30 years ago!" I just laughed and said..."Yeah, he sure does". Hey, I figured I'd just let him continue living on whatever planet he's on . Anyways, here's some video if anybody is interested. Erik can be a tough guy to film as he always seems to be moving!

Awesome! Glad you had such a good time. Skid Row is playing here (Brisbane, Australia) next month and I was wondering if I should go? It's a cool venue (renovated WW2 hanger) that's just a ferry ride across the river from me. TBH, I was more enticed by the opening band, 'Reckless Love' who seem very fun:) . Haven't seen Skid Row since 1990 in Brisbane, but like you I'm more excited to see them with Erik than Sebastian. So much energy there in your video!

I'm a bit bias now lol....but I'd encourage you to go. I mean, how often does Skid Row get to Austrailia? I always find with concerts It's a much different experience in person than watching videos. IMO Erik just has infectious energy that has a way of pulling you into the show when you're there. Reckless Love would be great to see as well. They're a band that we rarely, if ever, get to see playing here in the USA. Awesome! Glad you had such a good time. I have quite the plethora of genres this summer. Bryan Adams, Volbeat with Halestorm (both at Mohegan Sun Arena in CT), then Gojira and Mastedon in Boston. Was hoping to see Stryper on their possible farewell tour, but they’re not coming close. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Couple of things coming up now. June has Trodnheim Rocks in my hometown - Decent lineup including Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Airbourne, Europe and TNT.
July im seeing Bruce Springsteen & E-Street Band in Copenhagen. Havent seen them play in over a decade so im really excited to see them play again.
October has Europe playing the national Operahouse in Oslo with the national symphony orchestra. Which will be a toally new experience since ive not seen that kinda show before.

Would love to see Europe. I can’t remember the last time they were in the states. Then again, I haven’t been paying much attention. They would absolutely kill it here though. I can see them selling out arenas all over the country. Maybe not with an orchestra, but definitely with another 80’s opener.

They have been touring and making music steadily. Ive seen them a couple of times the last 10-15 years. They have tried, successfully imo, to move away from their 80s sound and have been more in a blues rock territory for a long time. The music was allways in a blues rock vein, but they probably felt the need to get away from The Final Countdown vibe. They were mega huge in Norway when i was a kid. That a band from Scandinavia had that kind of success was kind of a big deal back then. Their live dvd from that era is one of a very snall number og live shows that was broadcasted on our version of the BBC. So they were HUGE here. Very much looking forward to seeing them for sure
