Seeing Thunder this weekend. But I have to say I'm not impressed with their recent setlists in Australia. Too much stuff from the last 2 albums (9 songs from them), leaving only 7 songs in the set to cover the previous 9 albums! I've seen and heard some live footage from this tour and Jon sounds awful. His voice is gone. And I take no pleasure in saying that as early Bon Jovi is one of the reasons for me getting in to rock music, some classic stuff there.

Went to Sheffield last night to see the mighty Thunder. As usually they were fantastic. They are getting better with age. Surely one of the most under rated bands in rock? Danny Bowes has one of the best voices around and Luke Morley for me is one of the best guitarists and song writers around. My only gripe with the setlist was the lack of songs from their back catalogue. They played 6 from the latest album, 3 from 2015s Wonder Days, 1 from their 3rd album, 1 from their seventh and 5 from their debut. So for a band with 11 studio albums they culled the set from only 5 of them. All the songs outside the new ones they had played on the previous 2 tours last year and the year before. Which is very unusual for them. No One Gets Out Alive The Enemy Inside River Of Pain Resurrection Day Right From The Start Backstreet Symphony Higher Ground In Another Life The Thing I Want Don't Wait For Me Rip It Up Love Walked In I Love You More Than Rock 'n' Roll ----------------------- Wonder Days There's Always A Loser Dirty Love

Thunder really do put on a great show and you are 100% right one of the most under rated bands in rock

I went to one of Pat Benatar's acoustic shows the other night. Just her, Neil and a guitar. One of the best shows I've been to this year. Reminded me of a VH1 Storytellers show where they told the story behind the songs and about their music career.

There's been plenty of moaning over here from fans about the cost of the Metallica arena shows, which ranged from about about £55 - £95 for normal tickets, with plenty of more expensive packages available too. Before I went online I swore I wasn't paying £95 for a ticket, I went online bang on time, no tickets available, I refreshed about ten times within that initial minute before 2 lower tier seats came up at £95, true to my word...... I snapped them up immediately and then moaned afterwards about paying £200 for 2 tickets Apart from seeing Metallica play at Donington I've never seen one of their arena headline shows, so I'm looking forward to it, even more so as it's in the round too.

Are you coming over for a show then Haha, I hope to do so for a Leppard show someday but I may have to pass on such an expense for The Darkness.
