It's been a great couple of months with Stevie Nicks, two Last In Line shows, Y&T (awesome show!), Poison and Jackyl, and Skid Row and Winger. Today I leave for Concord NC for Carolina Rebellion! I'm not sure about this festival thing, and I think I'd rather be seeing DL in Charlottesville tomorrow, but I'm just thinking of it as a new adventure! 🙂 Tonight I'm going to Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie - so excited! In August I have Foreigner/Cheap Trick/JBLZE, Gn'R, and Tesla all in one week. Thinking about going to Kentucky for Last In Line next month. Also, Quiet Riot in September, Foo Fighters and the Struts in October, Kix in December. And Buckingham McVie was awesome! 😀

Going to see Guns N Roses in November. I actually saw them back in '91 or '92. Also, the night after GNR at the same arena, Foo Fighters are playing. I'm going to try and see them too.

I saw Guns N Roses at Arrowhead Stadium last year and it was an outstanding performance. (Alice in Chains opened). Hoping to see them again in Tulsa and maybe The Foo Fighters also.

Time for another roadtrip... intheroundgirl and I are heading out to Cleveland tomorrow for U2! Fingers crossed -- we're hoping we'll be early enough to get a low enough number in the GA line so we can stand at the B stage rail.

Quick video from when I saw Iron Maiden last month in Nottingham. One of my favorite Maiden songs. I got The Trooper on video when I saw them a couple weeks ago, I'll upload it soon.

The GA line was definitely a challenge (along with the torrential rain on Friday). We managed to get numbers 121 & 122 and entered the stadium in the second group, ending up at the rail on the far right side B stage with a perfect view!
Can't wait to do it all over again in Indy in September

So I went to see BB Steal last night - GREAT SHOW! On first impressions based on how they look and sound, they could easily be mistaken for a pretty generic (but good) Aussie pub-rock band, but the melodic nature of their songs puts them a level above in my opinion. There's a magic that Lep has that I love, and these guys have a bit of it too.
Would love to see them channel that magic into some new music some day.
Funny, last night marked almost 25 years to the exact day since I saw them last, supporting the 7-day Weekend Tour.

Iron Maiden with Ghost - Kansas City Neil Diamond - Dallas Tesla - Springfield MO Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band - Springfield MO Raiding The Rock Vault - Branson Went to the Raiding The Rock Vault show in Branson last night. Funny thing, out of all the hits they performed, it wasn't until they launched into PSSOM that the crowd went wild. Was a good show.

-Ozzy at Chicago Open Air next Sunday -Last In Line in Chicago -Tesla in Grand Rapids
Just saw Boston / Joan Jett in Tinley Park. Boston were surprisingly good. But ticket sales were so low that they closed off the entire lawn and turned the 200 section pavilion seats into GA. Kinda says something for DL because they sold that place out.

I suspect Poison was a big help in selling out those shows. A lot of the people I talked to, at the shows I attended this year, said they were there to see Poison. Usually, the majority of the people say they are there to see Leppard.
