I've given it a few listens, will need some time to decide if the songs are there, but as always the sound and production from these guys is top notch and I'm enjoying it for that reason alone already.

Im only half way through it, so far Now the Fun Starts has jumped out at me. I think it's going to take a few listens but I can't help but think I'm beginning to get bored of them. We'll see after I've given this album a good chance.

New Eclipse album...Fantastic melodic hard rock.
Also got One Desire. Has taken a a couple listens to warm up to...slightly different and much more commercial than Eclipse...But also a pretty good album.

Picked up the new Steel Panther album Lower The Bar on Friday from Best Buy, which includes two bonus tracks. Overall I'm really enjoying the album. It has clicked for me a little quicker than All You Can Eat did but I still need more listens to really absorb it. Early favorites are "Goin' In The Backdoor," "Pussy Ain't Free," and "Wasted Too Much Time." I'm also finding that I'm enjoying the previously released 'singles' more in the context of the album and I think "That's When You Came In" really benefits from being electric. "Now The Fun Starts" is an interesting track, as it's a new sound for them. The verses are great, but the chorus is a little lacking for me. Of the bonus tracks, I like "Red Headed Step Child" better, but the falsetto on "Momentary Epiphany" makes me laugh.

Rocking that "Lower the Bar". These guys really pulled it off at a time when I didn't really think they could keep it going. Anything Goes was a disappointment when it came out as a single, (Let's just throw out random crap with nothing going on). But the rest of the album has some great stuff on it! I agree with Curt that the rest go with the album better than by themselves, and That's When You Came in is much better here than from Lexxi's Mom's Garage.
Wasted too Much Time is by far my favorite. It's been stuck in my head since Friday. Now the Fun Starts , Got What you Want, and Pussy Ain't Free are other favorites.
Early analysis leads me to believe my favorite album list will now look something like
Balls Out All You Can Eat Lower the Bar Feel the Steel
But that's still to be determined.
Also, Haven't been to Best Buy to pick up the bonus tracks yet, So there's still a bit of surprise left!

I like 2 things about this band their musicianship...they are top shelf players which i respect a lot. 2 they don't take themselves seriously on stage but you can tell their shows are put together well but loose enough that you never quite know what to expect. Their songs are meh... not something i would listen to more than once. I actually enjoy them doing covers more than their own stuff because they actually do the covers better than most of the original bands. Do i ever see them selling out Hockey Arenas in America? If it was 30 years ago absolutely because it would have been real and not a comedy act. But i think they've hit a ceiling from a growth pov. I'm no expert on this band nor do i know what their long term plans are but it will be interesting to see if they last the test of time or is it back to weekends in vegas and on the strip?

I'm amazed they've released so many albums, as to be honest I didn't think they'd last. Either last year or the year before they made the step up into arenas in the UK, I don't know how they sold but again that really surprised me that all of a sudden they were able to play these venues. I bet if the band were honest they wouldn't have expected to have had this amount of success and longevity in terms of being able to consistently release new music and play around the world, including lots of big festivals too, I mean this year they are high up the bill on Download again. Quite amazing that a band singing about *****, **** & ***** and basically taking the **** out of a genre of music have been embraced by the very same fans of said genre of music that they are poking fun at.

This is a really left field one, but I've been on a really boring job at work and so have been trawling through youtube to find stuff to listen to. I settled on a playlist of old time radio broadcasts from the 1940's of Sherlock Holmes mysteries starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as Holmes and Watson. Fantastic.

Listening to a lot of Maddonna recently, which is a mixture of singles and remixes that are import CDs Love listening to her Celebration album, that's one of my guilty pleasures, some of the best pop music of the 80s and 90s.

Picked up Dio's Holy Diver and The Last In Line today to get more familiar with the stuff I'll be seeing Last In Line play this summer. Only had Dio's best of disc before today.

Reallyt struggling to get in to disc 2 of the new Metallica because I think disc 1 is so good Whenever I listen to it all the way through, by the time I get to the end I've forgotten which songs I liked at the start! A good album, but also a good example of maybe putting a little too much on there.
