Ryan Adams - Prisones
Have not listened to Ryan Adams before. But i really enjoyed the song "do you still love me".....
And the album is pretty great imo, i love it and it has been playing constantly for the last couple of weeks.

Having been to see Thunder a couple of weeks ago I decided to listen through their entire back catalogue again. They are one of my favourite bands and no doubt they've got some great songs across all their albums, but listening back through them I think some of them suffer from either too many ballads or are a bit too eclectic. Their debut (Backstreet Symphony) has been a really tough act to follow as its so consistent throughout in its quality of songs. But I would say that very close behind it are The Magnificent Seventh (amazingly their 7th album) and their latest Rip it Up (which was a real slow burner for me).

Skid Row - The Demos - 1988 Skid Row - Skid Row - 1989 Skid Row - Slave to The Grind - 1991 Skid Row - Subhuman Race - 1995 pisses me off these guys can't get their **** together and do a reunion tour. All of the original members are still alive. They went from playing Arenas to playing small clubs all because of egos. "Slave To The Grind" and "Subhuman Race" are two of my favorite albums period. I would love to see a reunion of the band, but I have doubts it will ever happen. If, for whatever reason, the members can't work it out, then at least they left behind some incredible music.

New Paramore single Hard Times single is very good, out of the same box as their brilliant Ain't It Fun a couple of years back. Has summer feel, could be a cross over hit. Not a Paramore fan, but mighty good.

Crazy Lixx - Ruff Justice.
Great 80's throwback melodic hard rock. My favorite album from these guys had been New Religion but I think they might've topped it.

Thanks for this - I literally listened to the song, listened to sound clips and then purchased it on iTunes. Love the throwback vibe - reminds me a bit of '80s era Ozzy. Will be in the car for a bit today so this is perfect.

I've got a load of 80's compilations in my car that I put together, and theres loads of other really good tracks that made it onto various soundtracks in there too. Its still the 80's as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah i would agree Danger Zone is a brilliant track!,i also just recently put all my old tapes on to ipod and it was great listening to the (HITS TAPES both 1 and 2) which where released way back in 1985 i think,i even had tapes with various artists on them going way back even to 1983.

New Warrant album arrived on Friday. Really bought it on a whim because I got tickets to one of their shows coming near me so thought I'd check out the new album.
I was a pretty big Warrant fan back in the late 80's/early 90's...Loved everything from their debut through Dog Eat Dog. Then the wheels slowly started falling off...
Enjoying the new album though and it's a pretty solid dose of rock. Obviously, it's not the same sound they had with Jani but Robert Mason does bring a good sound. My approach is basically to treat them like I'm listening to a new band and think that's sorta helped my mind remove pre-conceived notions of what I might want a Warrant album should sound like.

I listed to a handful of tracks... Personally, It almost sounds like they tried to say " We're definely carrying the torch for C-rated recycled sleaze rock!" Pilsen gave it a great production though!

Took me a bit to warm up to at first...mostly just warming up to it not being Jani. I think these guys deserve some credit for pushing on like they have though. Perfect, Let It Go and Faded are my favs...don't mind most of the rest either though. The only songs I'm really not caring much for are the ballad and the country cover song. In some years this might've been among my favorite albums but with so many good releases this year it'll probably fall through the cracks a bit. Maybe it can make my top 10... Now really looking forward to H.e.a.t, Degreed and Station which should all be coming at some point later this year New Warrant album arrived on Friday. Just forced my way through the latest Linkin Park album on YouTube (didn't spend money on this, thankfully). I'll never fault a band for trying a new sound, but that doesn't mean I have to like it! This just wreaks of trying to blend with today's pop music. I was happy when they had returned to more of a rock sound on their last album The Hunting Party but that is looooooong gone on this new one.
Thankfully it was only 35 minutes long.
