Is anyone really making money from streaming? How much per play average?

New AC/DC
New album Power Up out Nov 13th
Power Up will be released on November 13, and includes the titles Demon Fire, Witch's Spell, Money Shot and Through the Mists of Time amongst its 12 tracks.
The album will be available in the usual formats including gatefold 180g vinyl – including a yellow vinyl version exclusive to the AC/DC webstore –but we're especially excited by the limited edition deluxe Power Up box, which is adorned by a button fans can press. Do so, and a flashing neon AC/DC logo lights up while the opening bars of Shot In The Dark blast out of a built-in speaker. Amazing.
Inside the box is the full CD package, a 20-page booklet featuring exclusive photos, and USB charging cable. To keep Powered Up powered up.
The album was recorded in Vancouver with producer Brendan O'Brien and engineer Mike Fraser, the same team who worked on Black Ice and Rock Or Bust. The band spent six weeks recording in the city before moving to Los Angeles to complete the mix.
"Angus kinda came into this with a lot of ideas and riffs and not too many completed songs,” Fraser told the AC/DC Fans podcast. ”But that was similar on Rock Or Bust. Because him and Malcolm [Young] had written tons of songs before Mal got sick and eventually passed away. So he's got a whole treasure trove of ideas and riffs and all that."
Power Up is available to pre-order now.
1. Realize 2. Rejection 3. Shot In The Dark 4. Through The Mists Of Time 5. Kick You When You’re Down 6. Witch’s Spell 7. Demon Fire 8. Wild Reputation 9. No Man’s Land 10. Systems Down 11. Money Shot 12. Code Red

New tune sounds like classic AC/DC to me. You know what you're getting with these guys I applaud them for just sticking to the formula of what made them popular in the first place. They're a band that definitely has a "sound" and they embrace it. I'd have to think most of their fans would be happy with this tune. Cool idea on the limited edition CD package too. I like seeing physical products enhanced in some way with books or other products in this digital and streaming age. Just gutted today. I've sang these guys praises here on the forum for awhile now. Just when I thought 2020 couldn't get any worse....
For me personally, worst music related news I've heard since Steve Clark's passing as these guys had become my favorite band next to Def Leppard. Kenny was their original singer but Erik took them to a completely different level with his power and energy that was unmatched live.
I guess I'm thankful for the 4 great albums they did with Erik and that I got to see them live a few times. And that I got to see essentially what turned out to be Erik's grand finale on the last Monsters of Rock cruise.
H.E.A.T ANNOUNCE NEW FRONTMAN KENNY LECKREMO “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away”
Swedish rock band H.E.A.T have today announced that lead singer Erik Grönwall will be leaving the band, and that his replacement will be original H.E.A.T vocalist Kenny Leckremo.
The news comes after the success of the band’s critically acclaimed sixth studio album ”H.E.A.T II” which featured the singles – ”Dangerous Ground”, ”Rock Your Body”, ”Rise”, ”Come Clean” and ”One By One”.
The original founding members of H.E.A.T issued the following statement about Erik leaving the group to pursue other interests.
”First of all, we want to thank Erik for all the crazy fun and epic travels around the world the past 10 years. Together we made H.E.A.T what it is today. Secondly, we want to welcome back founding member and original vocalist Kenny Leckremo to the band. We’re looking forward to write the next chapter of H.E.A.T story together.” ”It’s like a shot at redemption,” adds Leckremo. ”I’m thrilled to be back, and to be a part of what H.E.A.T is today. No longer just a shadow of the past, but a force into the future. The H.E.A.T legacy continues.”
Says Grönwall about his departure - ”H.E.A.T has really been a place for me to grow as an individual, singer and frontman. The guys recruited this young Swedish Idol guy and believed more in me and my potential than I did myself. I am forever grateful for that. Gentlemen it’s been a pleasure touring the world with you. I’ve learned a lot from you and you’ve made me stronger. I look forward to build more memories with you, just not collectively as H.E.A.T.”

Shame as they were the best band of that Sweden Melodic Rock Scene.

He is too much of a talent to be stuck in the same market not being able to tour areas of the world where he doesn't have the support he needs for a monster vocalist like he is. Maybe it's for financial reasons. Will be interesting to see where he is headed. Big fan of that band, kenny is not even on the same level as erik.

AC/DC sounds like they've travelled back in time on PWR/UP. Back to the energy level from 1985 or something. They are all in top form! Best album in many, many years! Amazing!

Agree. I only classify myself as a casual fan of these guys but album sounds very good to me. One thing that stands out for me is production and use of backing vocals/harmonies while still having the classic AC/DC riffs and sound. Said earlier i give these guys kudos for sticking to their formula...no need to fix what isn't broken AC/DC sounds like they've travelled back in time on PWR/UP. Back to the energy level from 1985 or something. They are all in top form! Best album in many, many years! Amazing!

Got the new AC/DC, sounds like a solid album, well produced. But so far nothing really jumps out at me (apart from Shot in the Dark) that's as much as an earworm as the 2 lead singles off Rock or Bust say. My view of AC/DC with Brian Johnson is that they have some unbelievably good songs, but those albums that have followed Back in Black also have a lot of filler in them too and this one sounds no different so far to my ears.

Wolfie Van Halen released a new single Today, the Video contains footage of Wolfie and his Dad from years gone by. If you watch it, watch it until the end. Amazing RIP Edward “As my pop continued to struggle with various health issues, I was imagining what my life would be like without him and how terribly I’d miss him. While the song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their life. I never intended ‘Distance’ to be the very first piece of music people would hear from me, but I also thought my father would be here to celebrate its release. This is for him. I love and miss you, Pop.” - WVH Proceeds from “Distance” will be donated to Pop’s favorite charity, Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation MHOpus.org found.ee/MammothWVHwww.Facebook.com/MammothWVHwww.Instagram.com/MammothWVHwww.Twitter.com/MammothWVHwww.YouTube.com/MammothWVH"Distance" I’m so happy You’ve found a place That’s better for you Than this rock we’re living on I’m so nervous Don’t know my place A life without you I’m not ready to move on No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay I’m so tired Can’t see your face My memory of you Slowly fades when I go on I’m still cryin’ Don’t want this place A world without you I don’t think I’ll ever move on No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay No matter what the distance is I will be with you No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay I’m so happy You’ve found a place Wolfie on Howard Stern Today
