Quite liked the new songs from Judas Priest may catch them later this year in Germany. Their last album did 30K first week in US, the new one is forecast to just miss 30K though recent metal albums have tended to go higher than the Friday forecast suggested. Has reviewed very well. In UK curious to see if it breaks 10K. Lightning Strike is very good.

Gonna buy a physical copy this week for sure.

Myles Kennedy released his first solo album "year of the Tiger" a few days ago. Fantastic album, Wow!! My favourite song on the album is "Love can only heal".Tuesday I'm seeing him live in Amsterdam. Really looking forward to that.

i will see Myles Kennedy in Vienna sandwiched between 2 Metallica shows, April 1st is show. Good to hear the solo album is good. Alter Bridge's Blackbird is immense, can bring tears to my eyes. He sang with Slash in Shanghai about 6 years ago, has hell of a voice.

Judas Priest sales forecast in US now increased to about 37K, which maybe good enough for Number 2 on the album sales only chart, go get em. In UK has done 7.5K so far, hopefully break 10K, maybe make Top 5, though probably slip to 7.
On this week's chart Bon Jovi drops from 120K to just over 4K. Metallica has 2 albums in album sales chart Top 50 Black Album at 25 with over 4.6k and Master at 48 with nearly 3.4k. Journey's 2 greatest comps do 4.3K between them.

Judas Priest (Epic) 42-46k, 41-45k, forecast keeps increasing in US, on album sales only chart should be number 2. Good work.

Was very amused to read that the new Five Finger Death Punch album will be titled:
And Justice For None
Really, that's it. Hope there is some bass on it!

Judas Priest, fantastic news. Charted at Number 2 in Germany (based on revenue from sales, not actual sales). Woild think sales would be lot higher than UK. In Uk charted at Number 5 with 11,061 sales, their first Top 10 album since 1980!!! Hits in US (Billboard report official numbers early next week) have on the album sales only chart Number 2, with just over 43,000, a big increase of about 13,000 on last album. On chart inc streaming its at Number 7 with sales of 44,000.
Would guess strong Canadian numbers would help send worldwide sales over 100,000. Good work fellas!
Metallica's Hardwired does 10,000 in US for Number 10, bundled.

Billboard report Priest did 48,000 traditional albums (5,000 higher than Hits reported, not sure difference), good for number 2 on sales only chart, 49,000 inc streaming good for number 5 on Billboard Top 200. Album bundled.
In Japan sold nearly 9,000 which was Number 9 on CD chart, haven't been able to find Japanese Digital chart sales.
Thorugh the major markets US (5), Japan (9), Germany (2), UK (5), only Canada to come I think. World sales will easily beat 100K, maybe 120K.

Next weeks US chart.
Metallica once again will have the week’s best-selling traditional album on the strength of another ticket bundle, this time offered in the second leg of their tour.
Metallica (Blackened) 63-67k, 61-66k

Glad it features several songs from Pinewood Smile, though a better selection of songs from the second and third albums would have been nice.

Are you seeing them on this tour? I'm not a massive fan of the 2nd and 3rd albums, but at least they're represented in the set and not totally forgotten about. The problem for them is that they seem to have to play the majority of Permission to Land and the 2 latest albums have got 2 or 3 good singles each. Throw in the Christmas song too and its no wonder they're limiting albums 2 and 3.

They haven't played St. Louis in well over a decade and when they played Chicago recently it was in the city on a weekday right before I went to New York so I couldn't make it work. Maybe next time. The second and third albums aren't my favorites either, but there are some songs I'd like to see played. I get why they stick to Permission so much and for my first time seeing them I'd be happy to see so much of it in the set.

You might think you will not like Ghost, but just give the new album Prequelle or single Rats a go. You will at least be surprised by the style of music they play.

I fell in love with Ghost because of their previous album Meliora, and I've been giving Prequelle a really good listen. Not quite ready to compare it yet to Meliora, which is a masterpiece, but there's some simply outstanding pieces on Prequelle. Miasma is as good an instrumental as I've heard in a long time.

I saw them last year when they opened for Iron Maiden and they were great! They are going to be here in October, I might try and go. I've heard Prequelle is a really good album. They have a classic 80s metal sound and that's what I like.

beano back with acdc? photo of brian johnson and phil rudd in vancouver. beano handled himself with great dignity when he got the elbow.
if a new acdc album is being recorded hope they change the rock or bust formula. would be good to hear longer guitar solos, 6 minute tracks.

Really looking forward to this one as well. Their 2016 album was brilliant. It's been a light year compared to last year so far but hopefully will get better. Like you I also really enjoyed FOREVER WILD (especially SILENT THUNDER, EAGLE, TERMINAL VELOCITY, and IT'S YOU) and also really enjoyed the new First Signal album LINE OF FIRE (went back and got their old stuff too). Really excited about the new Eclipse album that just got announced also.

Mott '74's extension of their US tour has been canceled due to Ian's tinnitus. Doctors are suggesting he shouldn't perform until it resolves ... but anyone who deals with the condition knows that isn't necessarily a guarantee. I can't even imagine how hard that must be when music is your whole life. More HERE.

Kiss is performing a concert off the coast of Australia for great white sharks because "they like low frequencies and so they're attracted to rock'n'roll." Speakers will be lowered underwater, along with eight fans in a submarine. I don't even know what to think about that. Anybody?
