Anyone else checked out the new GUN album? I thought their last 2 releases were rather poor, but this new is much better. Check out the Boy who changed the world track.

Gun's first 2 albums were fantastic, thought they would go on and Take On The World.
Love my boxscores!
Tesla sellout boxscore: Tesla, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Sept. 27, 2017 $66,550 1,117 / 1,117 1 / 1 $79.50, $45. Love Tesla great to see these figures.
Scorpions, Megadeth The Forum Inglewood, Calif. Oct. 7, 2017 $1,030,607 12,040 / 12,040. Until they cancelled the mix of Scorpions and Megadeth worked well in ticket sales.
I always thought that a Leppard (100 minutes!) Scorpions (60 minutes) tour in North America would work, though whether Scorps would do a 4 month intensive tour now is debatable.
Foo Fighters, O2 Arena London, U.K. Sept. 19, 2017 $1,641,900 18,285 / 19,013.
Last week Foo Fighters sold 150,000 in London for 2 big outdoor stadium gigs next summer, how can they not sell out the O2, maybe fiddling the figures!

Ozzy has been announced as the first of the 3 headliners for Download Festival 2018, I would imagine that hes the 'classic rock' artist of the weekend. Theres another headliner being announced at 9am today.

Judas Priest are a headline act at Bloodstock so don't think they will be doing Download my guess would be Guns N Roses as the other main headline band

An example of the bizarre things that happen on Instagram. I've turned people in for stealing my photos (i.e., downloading to their device, re-uploading to their IG account with no credit to me) and gotten some interesting reactions from the culprits. Most quite indignant as if I'm violating their rights in some way. http://instagram.com/p/BbcE6PejIwQ

Anxiously awaiting news from Stone Temple Pilots, who will debut their new singer tonight at a show in California. They fully revealed artwork for a new single (I believe) called "Meadow" via their website as well. Whoever the singer is has his work cut out for him following two well known singers in rock. But I'm trying to keep an open mind and I'm hoping for the best.

On a side note I've listened to a ton of STP since I picked up the Core Deluxe.

Iron Maiden Europe tour confirmed, hope to do Athens, Zagreb and Krakow in late July. Saw Maiden in Gdansk a few years ago, crowd was cheering and hollering hours before the show. Great gig. Fingers crossed that I can see Lepps somewhere. If they play Japan please make one of the shows a Saturday. Finances won't swing another American trip next year.

It looks like Maidens tour next year is going to be an 80's best of. Which follows on from their usual cycle of greatest hits tour - new album - new album tour - greatest hits tour - new album....... etc The good thing about this greatest tour in the UK is that its an arena tour, these shows usually go to one off stadiums in the UK, so I'll be catching at least one show on the tour. I love Maiden, but as they never vary their setlists I don't go to more than 1 show when they tour.

The setlist can be a problem, but Maiden has such a devoted travel base and fans that going to some out of the way venues can have very special feel. Great live band.

I love Maiden but they perform in the Gelredome in Nijmegen again. The sound there is terrible. For that reason I'm not sure if I go 😢

Me and a friend were thinking about either Gelredome and probable 2 Paris shows, OR Athens, Zagreb and Krakow two weeks later, looks like you made my mind up! Up The Irons!

Hhhmmm.... The Eagles weren't playing stadiums WITH Glenn Frey. How are they suddenly stadium-worthy without him? This seems like a huge mistake to me. http://instagram.com/p/Bbw29bjFhFG

This seems like a huge mistake to me. http://instagr.am/p/Bbw29bjFhFG I got a notification today that they will be playing in Nashville in March. I had no idea that Vince Gill replaced Glenn Frey until I saw a picture of the band in that notification.

Judas Priest issued the following statement today about guitarist Glenn Tipton: Monday, February 12, 2018
Ten years ago Glenn was diagnosed to have the onset of the early stages of Parkinson’s - from then until recently Glenn has lived his life as the great heavy metal guitar player he has always been, maintaining by his own definition a standard of quality and performance that is incredibly important.
Right now Glenn is able to play and perform some of the Priest songs that are less challenging but due to the nature of Parkinson's progression he wants to let you all know that he won't be touring as such -
True to the metal spirit of 'the show must go on' Glenn has requested Andy Sneap to fly the flag on stage for him
“I want everyone to know that it’s vital that the Judas Priest tour go ahead and that I am not leaving the band - it’s simply that my role has changed. I don’t rule out the chance to go on stage as and when I feel able to blast out some Priest! So at some point in the not too distant future I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our wonderful metal maniacs once again”
Rob, Richie, Ian and Scott have this to say:
“We have been privileged to witness Glenn’s determination and steadfast commitment over the years, showing his passion and self belief through the writing, recording and performing sessions with Priest - he is a true metal hero! We are not surprised by Glenn’s insistence that we complete the Firepower tour and thank Andy for joining us to make Glenn’s wishes become real - As Glenn has said we also can’t wait to have him with us at any time any place on the road..... We love you Glenn!”

Over the years watching Steel Panther its always been obvious to me that they're running backing vocals and keyboard backing tracks, much like someone like Motley Crue did for their shows. But watch this recent Steel Panther video from about 7 minutes in as he gives the mic over to the crowd members to sing, theres a lead vocal backing tape running too.

From Hitsdailydouble: "Thanks to ticket-bundle redemptions, Bon Jovi’s 2016 release, This House Is Not for Sale, will bump Black Panther from a third week at #1.
*Bon Jovi (Island) 115-125k, 114-124k"
Originally it did 129,000 first week in the US, had sold 174,000 by January 2017. This budle should take it through 300,000.
Wait until the new Metallica bundling affects sales of Hardwired, should reappear on charts next week or week after.
Lepps should have aggressively bundled last album.

Hits reported Bon Jovi at 130,000, total album sales in US should be about 330K at least, though could disappear from the Top 200 next week which would be a first I think, an album being Number 1 and the kaput gone!
Metallica's ticket prices pheewweee! Nashville $140+ fees for the backrow seats in the venue! Kepps Lars pool warm no doubt.
'tallica playing the same venue in Sacramento as Lepps, live seatmap for Tallica (only those lovely verified seats!) for Lepps no live seat map. Why can't Live Nation work this out?
For Tallica Sacramento Section 207 Row R (back row), verified tickets for re-sale at $5,471 + fees each! man you gotta laugh sometimes!!!

Interesting article about Bon Jovi's use of bundling for This House is Not For Sale. Without the bundling probably would have sold about 110K, rather than the 323K it has sold. Very hard to get up to date numbers on last Lepps album in US but think was close to 100K. If only ... anyway the excerpt ...
"The album owes almost all of its success to the two bundling promotions. It sold 128K copies in traditional album sales in its first week. It sold 120K copies this week. But get this: In the 67 weeks between those tent-pole weeks, it sold just 78K copies — on average, just a little more than 1K copies a week. Last week, without the promotion, the album sold just 175 copies."
