Once Gene and Paul leave you may as well call it another band because it won't be KISS then, sorry!

www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ac-dc-share-new-album-details-malcolm-young-health-update-20140709Hard-rock legends AC/DC have officially finished recording their long-awaited new LP, their first since 2008's Black Ice. Frontman Brian Johnson revealed the good news in an interview with Classic Rock, saying the as-yet-untitled album was completed following a spree of intense studio sessions in Vancouver. "It was brilliant over there," Johnson said. "We’re done. I’m very excited, and we’ve got some great songs.” Despite the positivity surounding the album, Johnson said the songs were "difficult" to record without founding rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, who is taking time off from the band to recover from an illness. Stevie Young – nephew of Malcolm and lead guitarist Angus Young – filled in during the sessions. 500 Greatest Albums of All Time: AC/DC, 'Highway to Hell' "We miss Malcolm, obviously," Johnson said. "He’s a fighter. He’s in [the] hospital, but he’s a fighter. We’ve got our fingers crossed that he’ll get strong again. . . Stevie, Malcolm’s nephew, was magnificent, but when you’re recording with this thing hanging over you and your work mate isn’t well, it’s difficult...But I’m sure he was rooting for us. He’s such a strong man. He’s a small guy, but he’s very strong. He’s proud, and he’s very private, so we can’t say too much. But fingers crossed he’ll be back.” Though the band hasn't settled on an official title for the new LP (which is expected to be released in late 2014 or early next year), Johnson did offer one Malcolm-inspired contender. "I wanted to call the album Man Down." He says. "But it’s a bit negative, and it was probably just straight from the heart. I like that.” AC/DC have been making headlines all year. Back in April, Johnson insisted that band will not be breaking up, despite rumors to the contrary, and in a June news update on his car-racing website, he said the group was "very likely" to tour in 2014. In February, he even teased the possibility of a 40th anniversary tour. "It’s been 40 years of the band’s existence," he said. "So I think we’re going to try to do 40 gigs, 40 shows, to thank the fans for their undying loyalty. I mean, honestly, our fans are just the best in the world, and we appreciate every one of them. So we’ll have to go out, even though we’re getting a bit long in the tooth. You know what?! It’s been four years [since we last went out on the road], and I’m really looking forward to it." Johnson elaborated on AC/DC's touring plans to Classic Rock, noting that they're preparing for a world tour, which could feature UK performances next summer at Wembley Stadium and Glasgow's Hampden Park.

AC/DC next year definitely the number 1 priority for concerts, last tour so will splash some cash. Ditto with Maiden's final tour.

Still it would be pretty cool if I get to stream a Leppard concert live on TV as that would be a fun new experience.

ROLLING STONE ARTICLEKiss, Dave Matthews, Justin Timberlake Headlining Yahoo! Screen Shows"By Kory Grow July 11, 2014 3:10 PM ET Yahoo! Screen will begin broadcasting concerts by the likes of Justin Timberlake, Kiss, Wiz Khalifa and more on its Yahoo! Live channel, with the help of concert promoter Live Nation, which will be viewable for free. It promises to stream a different concert every day of the year for at least the next 365 days, and it's kicking things off with A Very Special Evening With Dave Matthews Band on July 15th, broadcasting the group's two sets that night at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Other upcoming concerts include one of Kiss' 40th anniversary tour dates, John Legend's rendition of Marvin Gaye's What's Going On? (with help from Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings) and Justin Timberlake and the Tennessee Kids' first-ever gig in Reykjavik, Iceland. Yahoo! Live also intends to feature concerts by Linkin Park, Usher, Common, the Gaslight Anthem, Panic! at the Disco and many more in the coming months. The first 30 days of scheduled concerts are listed on the channel's website, and the channel will offer alerts as to when it will broadcast concerts by specific artists. In addition to its live concerts, Yahoo! Live will also offer songs, behind-the-scenes footage, artist interviews and more as on-demand features. Beyond music, Yahoo! Screen has been making strides to expand its programming. Earlier in July, the channel announced that it had acquired the NBC sitcom Community, which had been canceled, and would be producing its sixth season. The series' creator Dan Harmon is currently working on a 13-episode arc for the show." SOURCE

I agree. If Leppard are to be included, why aren't they listed as well as KISS. If the entire evening isn't being broadcast, the 7PM start time is puzzling. Can't imagine how that time will be filled if only the KISS portion is being broadcast.

I know Ronan is good but i don't see him doing the Live Mix and then the Stream Mix at the same time.... very rarely do they do this without some kind of delay. I think the last time was the ROA Movie Premier...and I'm not sure who mixed the Live Feed....assuming Ronan did the FOH Mix...i believe the youtube show was delayed until the next day wasn't it? Yes my memory is terrible

I Can't imagine what they could do for their fans that they haven't already done? The week before it they are on the Kiss Kruise which ends november 4th...the day before the residency starts.... so no rehearsals at all??? So it will probably be a variation of what they do on the kiss kruise sets??? As a fan i would be upset if i had booked the kiss kruise then found out the vegas residency was right after it. But for their fans that can do both i'm sure it will be tons of fun.

The Kruise will trump anything they do in Vegas. Unless they play The Elder front to back along with having Bruce Kulick come out and do every non makeup song from 85-97.

I was gonna mention that I got a flyer for this (Same as the non-dated one in the first post) at the DL/ KISS show last week.
I do think it sucks for Kiss fans that they do this right after the Kruise. I can't imagine anyone but the very wealthy and super diehards tagging along for a residency right after they get off the Kruise. Though it does leave opportunity for people to extend their vacations for a day, then get a flight from LA(Is that where they cruise out of?) to Vegas...
Quite frankly, I don't think that this will affect a DL residency there.
August: Tour Ends Nov:Kiss Residency Christmas (1 month later): DL announces Residency March: DL takes Vegas for 10 shows Beginning of April, DL announces World Tour starting in June or July Middle of May, Def Leppard releases the Dublin Sessions
That doesn't seem completely unreasonable does it? Personally, I don't mind if they waited until after next June for Vegas when I turn 21, but hey I'll take anything, hahaha

Thunder recently played at the Calling Festival in London, but they had to draft in a replacement guitarist as Ben Matthews had to have his tonsils removed. Its been announced today the doctors found traces of cancer and hes got to undergo treatment for that. Terrible news.

I was just going to post the same thing. Saw the start time as 9:40 EST. Since I won't be able to attend the concerts this tour was really hoping to catch them on Yahoo. Damn! I am happy to at least have found this forum so I can get pics and some live video of the concert.

The show in Chicago last night was amazing. Avoiding sets paid off as I was really surprised to see "Kings And Queens" dusted off. Never would have expected to hear that one live. And I finally got to see "Rats In The Cellar" live after all these years. There were four tunes I've never seen live before, which brings Aerosmith's total for different songs I've seen to 51 through 7 shows. Whereas Def Leppard is at 53 through 34 shows. And I have to say, Slash & his band were amazing. Slash Setlist: You're A Lie Nightrain Standing In The Sun Back From Cali You Could Be Mine World On Fire Anastasia By The Sword Sweet Child O' Mine Slither Paradise City Aerosmith Setlist: Back In The Saddle Eat The Rich Love In An Elevator Cryin' Livin' On The Edge Monkey On My Back Kings And Queens Toys In The Attic Rag Doll Freedom Fighter Big Ten Inch Record Rats In The Cellar I Don't Want To Miss A Thing No More No More Dude (Looks Like A Lady) Walk This Way ------------------------- Home Tonight/Dream On Sweet Emotion Pics: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10203576978777391.1073741838.1602946079&type=1&l=8bb8490e32

It was interesting to read Joe Perry say that he thought GnR would be the next US rock band to carry on after them, to all intents and puroses back in the late 80's early 90's this was entirely possible, but it just never worked out that way.
Slash and Aerosmith is a good pairing, what a summer of concerts though in the US - with Slash/Aeromith, Kiss/Leps and Crue/Alice Cooper doing the rounds.
Any idea how this tour is doing?

When the KISS Spider stage decides it wants a night off I know this is dangerous but damn i can't help but laugh when i watch this. Do you think the Spider Tech got yelled at that night? Watch Paul nearly break a leg @ 1:33 when he misjudged the height of the stage which hadn't lowered to the floor completely. The Tour could have been postponed right there if not canceled.

That stage set has all the perfect elements for a Spinal Tap moment, with them getting stuck on it. Its sounds ridiculus "I know lets have a giant spider lighting rig that we get lowered to the floor on". Its like a parody stage
