I can`t see this messing up for the lepps. The possibility for a residency for the lepps during the fall didnt seem likely anyways. Most likely was for easter 2015?
A Kizz residency would be incredibly cool and i will do my very best to go see that...

It all depends on the dates. I think by Kiss doing it in Oct/November it gives leppard less options in early 2015. But it's a guessing game until we see actual Kiss dates.

Dude, I wouldn't want to work at the Kiss Mini Golf that is next door to the Hard Rock! It's gonna be rock n roll all night and mini golf everyday kinda month.

Short answer - no. I don't see whatever Kiss does in Vegas affect Lep in any shape way or form. Even if KISS has shows into Sept/Oct Lep could still do early part of next year if that's what ends up being in the cards. I will continue to have confidence that it is possible, realistic, and in their best interest to do Viva Pyro early next year on the heels of a new album until I have a reason to think otherwise. I don't really remember a time I've been so excited for a current year to be over (this isn't the only reason why but a big one) - half way there.

I'm still praying that Viva Pyromania somehow gets pushed to 2016 so I can be 21 when I go back to Vegas.

Don't really see how Kiss October 2014, affects Leppard if they do March / April residency. I think concentrate on new album release it May 2015, world tour June 2015 - Spring 2016, do residency Fall 2016 / Spring 2017.

We're talking a matter of a couple of months. Unless like has been mentioned before they use the Residency Promo Machine to promote the new album and tour? If done correctly it certainly could work to their advantage.

Not as much nationally, but the message does get out to the masses when they're first announced, and when you have 100 different media outlets all saying this big event is on the heels of the first new Leppard album in over 7 years (and/or that they will play a new song), I can see the advantages of that type of exposure! No doubt I can see it being a challenge to fit in there, but I think it's very possible.

Looks like this Kiss Residency is going to happen in mid to late November....after the Kiss Kruise ends in early November....that is If you believe the Various Rumours @ the Kiss Forums.
Do you still think Def Leppard will do a Residency in early 2015 and Release a New Album and start a Tour by Spring?
I want to believe it but i'm on the edge time wise.

I certainly believe that it will happen. They can`t say "yea, it will happen in late 2014 or early 2015" this many times and the for it to not happen.
I would love to see the Kizz thing aswell. The DL residency is probably my fav concert/festival experience and i imagine that kizz can deliver some of the same buzz and excitement....

It looks like the residencies take place at set times of the year so if Leps do it next year its whether they get the early, middle or end of the year slot and how that ties in with their new album and tour plans. I don't think the beginning or end of the year will be feasible, but the middle of the year slot could be the only US dates they do next year before moving on to the rest of the world.

9th March 2015 Glasgow, O2 Academy 12th March 2015 Wolverhampton, Civic Hall 14th March 2015 London, Wembley Arena
I'll also be seeing them this Sunday at the Download Festival.

I went to see Aerosmith last night at the Download Festival. This was my first time seeing them live and I had my reservations about them live, I had only ever heard A Little South of Sanity and I thought it wasn't a great live album and didn't seem to rock enough......... however my intitial worries were wrong and they were really really good. Tyler still has a great voice and his energy is unreal, he practically carried the show, what a frontman. I was really impressed with him. To a lesser degree Joe Perry was a big focal point of the show too and it reminded me of AC/DC with Angus and Brian being the main men. Prior to the show starting they had a backstage camera on the band following them in their dressing rooms and then as they made their way to the stage, which all added to the atmosphere and the build up. Visually they used the video screens to good effect, and instead of using the standard Download camera footage they had their own camera men at the show and their own video editor running the screen feed too. So much so, later in the gig Tyler announced that they were filming the show. Which would also explain why there were plenty of cameraman walking around on stage, so look out for that one in the future. They had the catwalk for the gig, which Tyler seemed to spend the majority of his time on to interact with the crowd. Having looked at previous shows on the tour it looks like the set was fairly standard, not that I cared as this is the only time I'm seeing them. 1.Train Kept A-Rollin' 2.Eat the Rich 3.Love in an Elevator 4.Cryin' 5.Jaded 6.Livin' on the Edge 7.Last Child 8.Freedom Fighter 9.Same Old Song and Dance Play 10.Janie's Got a Gun 11.Toys in the Attic 12.I Don't Want to Miss a Thing 13.No More No More 14.Come Together 15.Dude (Looks Like a Lady) 16.Walk This Way --------------- 17.Dream On 18.Sweet Emotion 19.Band introductions & f*ck the curfew!! --------------- 20.Mama Kin I thought the setlist was very good, I would have liked to have seen Back in the Saddle and Legendary Child in there, I guess the cover versions could have been dropped for those, but I'm not complaining too much. I guess I'm the defintion of those fans we would moan about at a Lep show, the fan who wants to hear the hits and overall I wasn't disappointed at all. The highlight for me was an immense Dream On, great song. It was funny at the end, after plenty of steam jets and confetti to end the gig they wanted to shut the show the down, but the band refused and played Mama Kin to round it off. A fanatastic show and the hits they played were just perfectly done.

Saw these yesterday at the Downlaod Festival. They may be a pisstake but they were the same as always..... good performers and funny (although a couple of jokes I'd heard by them before) and they really had the crowd eating out of their hands by the end. My only disappointment in their set was the choice of the new songs and they didn't play Gangbang at the Old Folks Home! WTF! During 17 Girls in a Row they asked for girls to come up on stage, now I don't know if it was rigged or not, but all the girls got up onstage and strutted around the Aerosmith catwalk with their **** out and some were also making out with each other. So I wondered if they were 'hired'. Not that I'm complaining 1.Pussywhipped 2.Party Like Tomorrow Is the End of the World 3.Asian Hooker 4.If I Was the King 5.Gloryhole 6.Gold Digging *Edited by Admin* 7.Girl From Oklahoma 8.Community Property 9.17 Girls in a Row 10.Death to All but Metal As a little side note, one of the big aspects of their festival set is getting women in the crowd to get their *Edited by Admin* out, there were plenty of women willing to do that of course. However at one point in the show the singer was telling the cameraman to focus in a particular girl in the crowd who had them out. Yet when he didn't focus on them or show them on the screen the band were giving the cameraman hell, calling him homsexual etc etc. Clearly what the band didn't realise was that Download had put a ban on womens *Edited by Admin* appearing on screen. This was due to the number of complaints they had received last year, all due to the pressure from the crowd those women get when they are on someones shoulders and the camera zooms in on them.

Glad you enjoyed the show. "A Little South Of Sanity" is basically Big Ones with crowd noise added. Interesting that the was filmed by the band. They're due for a proper live DVD since the two they've released in the past 10 years were ruined by being done documentary style, with songs shown out of order with talk and video clips in between.
Saddle doesn't get played as often as it used to, probably due to the challenging vocals. I've seen them six times and have only seen that song once (in 2002). I got to see "Legendary Child" when they were touring in 2012 but the support they've given the last album has been minimal.

Have also booked tickets to see them in Vegas at MGM this August.
After this brilliant review im really looking forward to that show.

Not that I'm complaining I know that when I saw them in Houston, they asked my girlfriend to get on stage during that song, so it definitely is not staged regularly. However, they did stop a girl from flashing people when she was onstage, however they encouraged it when they were off stage.

I saw these at Download this weekend gone. I've never really paid much attention to their music until now. They were very good. What surprised me even more is that Myles Kennedy can play the fkn guitar (and very well too).
1.Addicted to Pain 2.White Knuckles 3.Come to Life 4.Cry of Achilles 5.Ghost of Days Gone By 6.Waters Rising 7.Isolation 8.Ties That Bind 9.Metalingus 10.Blackbird 11.Watch Over You 12.Rise Today

Heard Blackbird the song for first time earlier this year, completely blown away by it, all that an epic rock song should be.

I saw these last week at Download and I was very impressed with them. I'm sure most people have heard of Jake E Lee, as he was Ozzys guitarist back in the 80's.
Anyway I enjoyed their performance so much that I bought the album, which I've had in the car the last couple of days.
The first thing that strikes me about the album is that I think its a similar format to Slash's album from a few years ago where he got in various vocallists to sing on the album. There are 5 singers on the album, one of those (Darren Smith) takes on 5 of the tracks and he's the singer who they are touring with. Interestingly Paul Dianno appears on a song too (called Wasted funnily enough).
I'm enjoying the album, plenty of riffs with good production. In fact its production reminds me of Slash first solo record, Ozzys Scream album and Steel Panther last album. It sounds very similar to those imo.
But the standout out song on the album for me is Feeder featuring Robin Zander, the bass line is killer:
Heres the first single from the album Deceived:

Yup some cracking songs on the Red Dragon Cartel album, really liked Ozzy's stuff when Jake played with him, but I think I'm in a minority as most prefer Randy Rhoads.

Less than three weeks till the show and the venue just dumped a bunch of tickets into the general pool... So I snagged two second row seats directly in front of Mr. Joe Perry at face value.
It pays to wait.

The manager of KISS has confirmed the group are in talks to launch a TV talent show to find replacements for frontman Paul Stanley and guitarist Gene Simmons – when the duo eventually retire. It has long been rumored that founding members Stanley and Simmons hope to keep the band running when they decide to quit – but both men have been evasive when asked about whether any new members have been signed up and if the takeover will happen after their current world tour. The rock veterans are the only original members left in the band, which was marred by the departure of Ace Frehely and Peter Criss and the death of Eric Carr in 1991 – the group now includes replacements Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. However their longtime manager Doc McGhee insists that there are indeed plans to replace all four band members and keep KISS alive for a new generation – they are close to signing a deal to find their replacements through an American Idol-style TV show. McGhee says in a new TV documentary about the band, “I believe that KISS can go on forever. I believe that there is a way – and we are talking to people and we’re pretty close to getting it done – about finding the four new members of KISS.” link

I agree. I remember one show awhile ago where Inxs was looking for a new signer...It was all very lame. I'm not really sure why Kiss would agree to something like this. I mean...Doesn't doing something like this just sorta minimize what you've achieved? If they do this, aren't they basically just admitting that Kiss is a novelty machine that you could stick any 4 people into and have it run just as well? I would think that Gene & Paul's ego's wouldn't want to see this go on without them. Unless of course they are maybe looking at the residual income this would generate as part of their retirement planning Can we activate the unlike button?
