Europe shows rumour? Or not happening?

Evidently the 2024 tour is going to be like the 2014 tour. In 2014 the tour with KISS was called "coheadline" but KISS closed every show. The press release for the 2024 tour says "coheadline" but Ticketmaster shows Def Leppard closing every show. Hhhmmm.... maybe not. This is not a Live Nation tour. It's by AEG Presents. Tickets sold on axs.com. Searching Def Leppard on axs.com, eleven of the shows have Journey as the closer. Look here: www.axs.com/search?q=def+leppardNo they’ll be switching nights if Leppard is the only one truly offering the majority of VIP tickets.

I know some people may not be happy about Journey, the dates and locations etc. however, I’m grateful that they are still around and touring. As we all get older, tomorrow is not guaranteed for us or them

Not excited. Journey sound was NOT good the last time they were together. Probably pass on this one.

I wish they would take a break and stop touring for a while. It’s the same old thing over and over. I would much rather have a brand new album.

Just saw a commercial for it before the Steelers/Patriots Thursday night football game. About 5 minutes ago.

Rick said this during an interview with Jeremy White back on November 10th:
"We've got the 40 year Anniversary of Pyromania so the next tour is probably going to be quite different. And we've already been discussing that."
Today's press release for the 2024 tour quotes Joe as saying:
"Having just completed a sensational 18 month run promoting our Diamond Star Halos album, we shall hit the boards running with a brand-new stage show and set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history. We may even have a surprise or two up our sleeves."
Taking both of those comments together, it sounds like next year's setlist won't be business as usual.

When I see tours like this popping up I tend to think the same, especially when they are promoting nothing. However I can also see from their point of view that time is money given their ages now. Lets not forget that even though they had 2 years off in 2020 and 2021, its only 5 years ago that they were last out with Journey in America.

Europe shows rumour? Or not happening? I hope they at least play the UK Arena market again. For all their apparent love of the UK (Union flag everywhere etc) they sure do seem to neglect us a lot. I know we're a small island so have limited venues to play regularly without over saturating the market, but no full UK tour since 2018? Even if you take out COVID period of 2020/2021 four(?) stadium shows in the UK since the last proper arena tour (which hit most major UK markets) is a poor return. I'm not saying hit the UK every year but at least every 18-36 months. I know I'd go see a few shows if ticketed right.

Inevitable Lepps were going to continue with stadiums, must be intoxicating playing to 40000 per night in North America. Can do that in 2 months rather than 6 months of sheds. As Bon Scott once sang "I hear it pays well... "
Sure there will be a Vegas residency North American forum members can go to within 16 months. Hold onto your wallets!
Had my hopes up about European dates working to my advantage before the NA tour. If happens my holidays won't have started.
UK I think may get arena tour late 2024, sure band would like to.
New music possible if nothing happens tour wise before July, maybe too much to hope for an album, certainly could be 2 songs coming along.
Next summer an AEG promotion, except for Fenway I think, whereas most of the Crue tour was Live Nation, curious why. AEG promote Hyde Park London I think, but that co-incides with start of NA.

Wouldn't be surprised if a second batch of dates is announced in a few weeks like back in 2019 for the Stadium Tour. They've managed to drum up some excitement for me with St. Louis being the first show, as I've never had the privilege of attending opening night. And being at my favorite stadium on a Saturday, it'll be a good time. Will likely hit Chicago and maybe even try to swing New York again, as seeing my 70th show there would be special too. I'm glad Cheap Trick is in St. Louis. Completely indifferent to Steve Miller Band. Despise Journey. I don't see any indication of this having alternating coheadliners yet... Wonder when we'll get some details. And I'm already trying to ignore Joe's quote about "brand-new stage show and set of songs that will celebrate specific parts of our history. We may even have a surprise or two up our sleeves." Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 528 times, shame on me. Yeah...I remember Joe promising a Cirque de Soleil show or something for a new tour staging - but the eventual presentation looked pretty much identical to the year before:) I take it you're a Cardinals fan?

I take it you're a Cardinals fan? Yep! Having taken a step back from having to pay for and suffer through Journey again, I'm excited for this tour. By the time my first show rolls around it'll have been nearly two years since my last show. And if the current itinerary holds and plans fall into place, I'll get to see my 70th Lep show in New York. If the set is changed up or goes Pyromania-centric, even better. Now, if the 'era-specific' set ends up being a chunk of Yeah! thrown in to celebrate the 2006 era of the album and first Journey tour, I may not feel the same after the first show. I do hope for more Pyro tunes in the set and wouldn't be shocked if "Rock! Rock!" returns to the opening slot. Which I'm good with, though I still want "Take What You Want" to remain in the set. Would be nice to finally catch "Stagefright" live as well, but... Odds aren't great.

I do not think it is clear who the ticketing partner is. Rock Brigade takes you to either TM or MLB, depending on the venue. AXS might be a re-seller like Seat Geek or just one of the many ticketing partners.
I do not think that makes good business.

Yeah I'm skipping presale on this one. If tickets cheap a few days before I will go. If hell freezes over and they do play rare or songs never played before I have no problem paying more than face. It's def lep and I don't see them playing rare at all. Maybe play Coming Under Fire?

As with tulsa the fees were far lower a few days before the show so even if have to buy resale you may still save money with lower fees and a little higher ticket price.

They won't be cheap. I'm guessing $160 to $190

Looking at Spotify daily numbers Too Late For Love is number 10, would be good addition to set replacing This Guitar. Celebrate Pyro.
Comin Under Fire 23 Spotify daily, think a lot of the forum would like to see that, listening to it earlier, such a classy song. Not sure how it would come across live. 5th most popular Pyro song.
Sure the ticket prices when they become public will cause a gasp. Average price $150, not including various VIP options.

Still confused why Last in Line December 14th date was cancelled for a Def Leppard related issue according to viv. The press hasn’t been on this tour as much as recent. So? ??

The Xmas holiday parties are in full swing and maybe someone booked the band for one. I can’t see anything tour related as this has been imo a very tame tour announcement than the usual and doing some big event now seems kinda late in the game. I still wonder what the thing was Phil teased last spring , along with that mystery cover the band recorded last year for a advert….
