Vince Neil’s Facebook page is now showing the tour postponed until 2022. www.facebook.com/thevinceneil/photos/a.440033431124/10159174856451125/?type=3Screenshot for when it is inevitably deleted and then later reposted across all the bands' platforms: Bret must be over his Cricket Wireless data limit for Vince to beat him to the punch. Adding to the fact that it's being postponed is that I just noticed on the ticket page for the St. Louis show, it's now showing July 5, 2022 for the date.

It’s unfortunate to have this pushed back 2 full years but not surprising at all. I will like this tour a whole lot more if it is also now going to be promoting a new album.
With 2 full years off and the recent quotes about having a ton of new music on the go, you have to believe that a new album in 22 is a real possibility...right?

New 2022 dates in second graphic. I'm disappointed, but I'm glad it is postponed and not cancelled altogether. Hoping we get some new music or some other surprises to make up for it.

ZZ Top is doing a tour this summer and fall. Wonder if DL might join them and revisit the 2020 Vision tour?

Just realized the Nashville show is not the first show of the tour now that the tour has been postponed. Guess I'll have to go to Atlanta too.

Agree. I'm bummed and really tired of Covid postponing my life. Life's too short to be giving years away. But I really feel like they had no choice given all the restrictions still in place in many cities and states. I feel like we should be fully open and able to do these concerts with precautions in place but clearly our lawmakers don't feel the same. That said, no way I'm giving up my tickets to the Buffalo show. I was darm lucky getting a couple seats by the thrust at face value and I'll be itching for sure to see these guys by then. I hope our "reward" for all this ends up being some new music and getting to see a new song or two next summer. They've really had no better time in their history to be working on new music IMO. New 2022 dates in second graphic. I'm disappointed, but I'm glad it is postponed and not cancelled altogether. Hoping we get some new music or some other surprises to make up for it.

This is starting suck more than watching my bitcoin investments fluctuate on a daily basis. This is getting up with some of the longest inactivity in the bands history. Even if you include the short breaks they had back in the eighties they we're back in the studio and touring during those times. No Touring, No Studio time together, what upsets me is that we will never get this time back. We have missed 2 tours now and hopefully they can do something to tide us over. I can't see them promoting an Album during the Stadium Tour. The only way an Album gets any notice is during their own tour. Maybe they can do it but we'll see. I hope they don't wait until 2023/24 to release an Album.

Just my 2 cents, but Mick Mars isn’t getting any younger. Not like the DL boys. They’re getting better every year. I’m gonna remain skeptical that Motley holds up their end of the bargain.

They've had backup guitarists on standby on previous tours. No different than when Viv was very ill with his cancer. The show must go on.

I wonder if there could be any chance of Leppard trying to play some shows on their own now that the stadium tour is postponed?
I mean, I know there are venues around me doing concerts this summer and some are places Lepoard has played in the past. Places like Darien Lake, CMAC, NYS fair in Syracuse are planning to run shows.
It's probably a long shot but maybe something like a July/Aug tour in some select outdoor venues could work. No idea if it could make financial sense though or capacity limits will be high enough to handle demand Leppard would create. And maybe the band just has no interest in playing smaller venues after they were geared up for a stadium tour.
Probably wishful thinking! But it could be a great opportunity to do that Evening With Def Leppard tour and charge like $250 a ticket or something. I know I'd be in!

Well all kinda already knew it. But can the guys REALLY wait until next summer to play live again? With the recent relaxing of restrictions I wouldn’t be surprised if there are plans being made for something. But, it may have to be in the UK. They likely can’t play the US for fear of ruining ticket sales for next year’s tour.

Had a feeling it was a no-go for this year. Keeping my tickets for the Cleveland show (originally Friday 7/3/2020). It’s disappointing that it’s now scheduled for a Thursday night...definitely worth the two hour drive(and two year wait!), but worried about now having to possibly take two days off work, especially since I lost my job due to COVID. Don’t have anything yet, hopefully I’ll be working by then. Either way, we will definitely be going! Next summer, I will turn 50...so it will be exciting to celebrate by seeing Joe, Sav, Rick, Phil, and Viv again!!

By the time we get to see them next summer it will be almost 3 years since Vegas. Crazy.

I’m disappointed that it’s been postponed again but I can’t see the guys taking a chance. Especially Viv with his compromised immune system. I am however happy that the Miami date, originally a Tuesday in 2020, moved to a Saturday in 2021, has remained on a Saturday in 2022.

I guess it comes as no surprise to us all really. This tour is a huge event, theres no way any of the bands would want this to be played to less people, less venues or compromised in some way. It doesn't need to happen this year, yes people want to see shows again but I'm willing to bet theres a proportion who don't feel comfortable either. So, if I were going I;d rather it be the full experience, because this could well be the last time we see these bands in stadiums putting on big events. Looking at it purely from an entertainment industry point of view, its shortened the life of a lot of the older bands touring activities and scuppered a lot of plans. On the flip side whilst they've been stuck at home I hope the new music from the band has been a priority and any organising around legacy boxsets and releases, thats the only productive activity artists can do.

I feel like June was just "too soon" for them to do packed stadiums all over the country. Some cities would have been find with it, but you can't turn a tour like this into a "pick and choose" situation from a financial perspective. If the tour was supposed to be August-September only, it probably had a shot, since a lot of full capacity shows are being set up for the end of summer and start of Fall.
As for Lep doing other shows, I can't see it happening in the U.S. and potentially hurt demand for the Stadium Tour, but you never know.

I wonder if Motley will spend the money on a big special effects show like they have done many times in the past.
It amuses me that Def Leppard is a bigger band. More Consistent in all areas and has never ventured outside of a screen, light and laser show. I can count on one hand how much pyro they've used after the Pyro Tour.
Interesting to see both successful, yet 2 different approaches.

The best Def Leppard show I ever saw was the smallest, a Beacon Theatre gig on the X tour.
