I just saw that there is an additional opening act on the tour now, Classless Act. This really has me wondering how long the sets will be. If they actually start the shows at 4:30, and figure most of these stadiums will want the performance over by 11 or 11:30, we're looking at seven hours for five acts (and four equipment changes). Obviously Def Leppard and Motley will have the longest sets, then Poison, then Joan and the opener is probably only getting 30-40 minutes, but I really have a bad feeling we're going to end up with 80 minute headline sets.
Also, I noticed the Def Leppard Premium packages that include M&G now say "socially distanced photo op" as part of the verbiage.
Still, just happy they are going to get this tour out of the way so we can get back to "regular" Def Lep shows.

36 shows means playing to 1.5 million people. perfect opportunity to play first single from album! i remember lepps not playing lets go for quite a long time after it came out, hope any single released is done so there is time for some awareness to set in with fans. hope for first single within next 6 weeks. xx.

And also keep in mind: local curfews. Some places may want the last band off by 10:30,11pm or later?
An "updated" setlist would help 😁. Add Too Late, maybe something from Euphoria through the self titled effort?

I wouldn't be so bothered with another opener if it was somebody that I've actually heard of who would fit the mold of the bill better. I mean, why not add on a band like Tokyo Motor Fist as an opener? They'd be perfect and the Steve Brown connection is there. And they play plenty of recognizable songs in their set from Danger Danger, Trixter, etc in additional to their original material. Or pick from the multitude of other Euro acts that would absolutely kill for the opening slot...bands like HEAT, Crazy Lixx, Eclipse, etc....I know there are visa issues with them but I'd sure love to see it and people would dig them. It's good news to see the tour officially announced (again) as maybe this thing will finally happen now.
They've never been more quiet about new material and it's most likely because there is no chance it sees the light of day this year without the tour happening. Now we just have to hope that Motley can make it on stage fully intact and last however many shows it ends up being. As Leppard fans it would seem our fortunes of hearing new material (and perhaps shows) rest in the tour shape of Vince Neil.
I wonder if they have any plans after this tour has ended? If they have a new album in tow and 2 years off the road you would think they would continue?

Will Def Leppard Add any heavier Songs to the Set plus the New Song? Let it Go in the place of WL&HC and Rock On in at #6/7, the rest the same as '18/'19

Agreed, although let's be honest, going on at 4:30pm on a weekday is almost like not playing at all. I wouldn't be so bothered with another opener if it was somebody that I've actually heard of who would fit the mold of the bill better. Its all going to be about making as many people happy as possible in such big crowds and I think thats the view that the bands will take.

Agreed. I figure the Stadium Tour setlist for Def Leppard will look like this: Hysteria - Pour Some Sugar On Me, Animal, Hysteria, Armageddon It, Love Bites, Rocket Pyromania - Rock Of Ages, Photograph, Foolin' High N' Dry - Bringin' On The Heartbreak (maybe Switch 625 if they don't do an extended version of Rocket to give Joe a break in the set) Adrenalize - Let's Get Rocked Retroactive - Two Steps Behind Then we might get three more songs, some combination of Let It Go, Rock On, Promises, Action, MLLAM, Wasted, Women, Rock! Rock!. etc. I don't think they'll go "deep cut" at all. It is going to be songs that at some point were a regular part of the show/got radio airplay. That's why I am really hoping they stay on the road after the Stadium Tour and do some longer sets. One thing I loved about seeing Metallica last summer in Daytona was their decision not to repeat any songs across their two sets. One night was the Black album and a few extras, and then the other night was crowd favorites with some deeper cuts worked in. Would LOVE if Def Lep did a tour of "two night stands" where one night was Hysteria from beginning to end, and the other night was a full set without any Hysteria songs. It would really allow them to open up the set selection. I would be amazed if any of the bands played much (if anything) outside of their greatest hits on this tour. For me, Wasted would be a cool song to play on this tour. It hasn't really been featured in a setlist for quite awhile and a lot of people dig that tune. I feel like it might even work as an opener although the best spot might for it be coming out of the encore. But we all know the encore is fairly set in stone with ROA and Photograph. Women is another tune that could be a cool opener. The opening spot is probably the slot for the one "deeper" cut. Or maybe a new song Agreed. I've only seen them do "Wasted" live once, as an unplanned encore at a NYC show at the Beacon Theatre on the "X" tour. Still one of my favorite moments.
I think Wasted, Rock! Rock! or Stagefright would be great openers for the Stadium Tour.
However, what about a curveball? What if they opened with Photograph? Just come right out with the big riff, guns blazing, one of their biggest hits? Smack the crowd right in the face. They still have Sugar or Let's Get Rocked if they want another big hit to pair with Rock Of Ages in the encore.

I was going to mention this.. Wasted hasn’t actually been played as part of an official US tour. We’ve been able to hear/ see modern day versions that have popped up at Vegas or videos from festivals in other countries (not complaining though) It would be nice to see it get some love. I've often said that they should try something to open like ROA or Photograph, the place would go nuts. Whether Joe's voice would be sufficiently warmed up is another thing though.

Ambitious but reasonable.
Stagefright Another Hit And Run Let's Get Rocked Too Late For Love [New Song] Women Armageddon It Love Bites [New Song] Rocket Hysteria Animal Photograph Pour Some Sugar On Me ---------------- Wasted Rock Of Ages
"Wasted" deserves its due and a tour with Motley is a good time to bust it out and add a couple heavier songs to the set. Not to mention freshen things up a bit with the running order too.

selist will be hit heavy, picks itself. if there is a new single, would rather they play that than a deep cut. hope for 90 minute set rather than 80, as that means new song and a deep cut. 80 minutes is only 14/15 songs, the hits!

That would be an awesome setlist even without the 2 new song slots! I'd even be fine if Rock On took one of those slots with that set 😀 Ambitious but reasonable. They have so much redundancy built into their signal chain that the rarest thing you will see on a normal tour date is something break Even then they could switch to Pro-Tools and most wouldn't even notice. The screen hinge breaking was funny. Outside of a residency i have no expectation of hearing something rare. When you can be a headliner of one of the biggest stadium tours this year, why change anything. Remember when they changed the mix in Rock of Ages. I think andylgr pointed it out. That happens when you've listened to 800 shows

The Bret Michaels Promo Machine is back in Action.
I love his enthusiasm. Poison have never broke away from the 80s image of them, but they’ve kept going and have landed themselves supporting a lot of good tours. Could do with someone confiding in him about Leppards new album so he can leak that news at one of his shows too.

I've seen Poison a few times, all after their "heyday" and Michaels always brings his energy and A-game to his performances. Sobriety has been really good for the band as well. I've said this from when this tour was first announced, I expect Poison to bring a tight, energetic set and seriously work to steal the show. I expect them to blow Motley off the stage.

I’m still beyond curious what’s going on behind the scenes with Vince. They have to be losing their minds. What’s he done the last couple of months, and what can he accomplish in the next 90 days?? You can lose 50 pounds, get your mobility and cardio in check.. and work with a vocal coach.. I think. But does he want to?? The question is why not?? If he doesn’t blow this, it only helps his ability to book solo shows.

So I just checked Ticketmaster as it was suggested and for the Detroit show on July 10th, Def is closing the show. I agree with you all about Wasted being added to the setlist and being part of the Encore.
So now, who will be at the Detroit show with me ?
