Kacey musgraves just confirmed Shanghai for May 22, ticket bought. She won grammy for album of the year recently with three other grammy's. Saw her in Boston 3 years ago. Her song Space Cowboy is brilliant. First country artist to play Shanghai in the 16 years I've been here. Stoked!

Got free tickets for Whitesnake tonight in 013,Tilburg. I hope Adrian Vandenberg joins for a song or two. I had a great night. Whitesnake has made some fantastic songs. This was their first show of this tour and I really hope DC's voice gets better than it was tonight. And I know for sure he hopes that too. But he still is a fantastic frontman and the band are great musicians. Seeing them again on Graspop Metal Meeting next week.

I am so excited about going to see Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown and The Temperance Movement in a few days! Taking a road trip from NC to Delaware mainly so we can catch The Temperance Movement while they're in the States. Later this month, Kip Winger and The Bacon Brothers. In August, Gin Blossoms and The Black Moods, possibly Heart, and another TBSD show. In September DL in Vegas and Tesla.

Went to see Three Days Grace, Chevelle, and Breaking Benjamin this past weekend. I'm still struggling to accept TDG after their change in frontman, Chevelle won me over, and Breaking Benjamin were as expected. They're one of my favorite bands but honestly they leave a lot to be desired when it comes to how they sound live.
But they did try to butter me up by including a tiny segment of "Pour Some Sugar On Me" with crowd participation during the drum solo.

Coming up: 8/7 - Halestorm & Alice Cooper. Mainly going for Halestorm as I've never seen them. Not sure I'll even stay for Alice Cooper. Saw him during the Motley Crue/Alice Cooper tour a few years back and really not much desire to see him again. 9/21 - Ratt, Warrant, Firehouse and Kix. Looking forward to this one...Pretty good bill for the $49 ticket cost. 2/8-2/13/20 - Monsters of Rock Cruise. Really looking forward to this

Went to see Queensryche last Saturday. They had a diverse setlist and I had a great night. Todd is doing a great job IMO but I still find it a little strange to see him as the frontman of Queensryche . For me Geoff Tate was one of the best singers of all time. But I'm really glad those fantastic songs are still being played. Operation Mindcrime, Empire and Promised Land are really, really great albums.

Halestorm are brilliant! Saw them on a triple bill with Shinedown and Alterbridge, you won't be disappointed. Lzzy Hale, what a voice!

My "year of music" is really starting to ramp up with having recently seen Iron Maiden on July 20th and Brit Floyd on June 12th. Now I have all of these on tap in the not so distant future:
8/8 - Eric Gales 8/17 - GFM & Get Those Nerds 9/6 - BabyMetal 9/7 - Liliac (that could be a tough turn-around with lots of metro ATL driving those two days...hmmm) 9/26 - Band-Maid (NYC) 9/27 - Billy Joel at MSG
Gonna be a great couple of months, and who knows, maybe I'll sneak off to Vegas to see the Lepps in mid-Sept!
