Should have been going to see Ozzy supported by Judas Priest this week, unfortunately they've postponed the first 4 shows of the UK tour. So I've got to wait to see when the rearranged date is and if Priest will be able to make the support show even.

Think I posted on this thread already that I've got a busy concert sked (for me as I'm not near the traveler that some of y'all are...such dedicated fans! :-), but to kick off my year I was lucky enough to go to LA to see one of my favorite bands on the rise, The Warning, at the iconic, world famous Whisky a Go Go! My God, what. A. Phenomenal. Show.
These young sisters from Mexico, whom some of you know opened for Def Leppard a couple of times in late 2017 (as well as The Killers a few months later) just blew the roof off the joint playing nearly 2 hours of their original material (coulda been 2.5 but the contract for the private gig only allowed 2ish hours I think), and then after 21 songs they punctuated it with a special 'thank you tribute' to the event organizer, with a hair-raising cover of Metallica's Atlas Rise. HOLY DAMN!!
Watch out for these girls as they are said to be close to getting their work visa issues worked out. So the sky's the limit when they start touring the US somewhat regularly.
Can't wait for the next TW gig, but I think my slate of Queensryche, maybe Whitesnake, Ozzy, Maiden and Def Lepp in Vegas will probably assuage me for a little while. At any rate, I highly recommend that you ferret out The Warning's live show treasure trove as their last two gigs (Lunario in CDMX, new record release gig) and the Whisky last Thursday (1/24) are just insane for the ages of 14, 16 & almost 19 (front woman). Oh and the drummer sings too! \m/ \m/

My concert season is heavily 70's based.
I was supposed to see and artist by the name of LP yesterday but her show was postponed due to illness, so she's up in March. I've got Kansas on 4/12 and then John Mellencamp 4/23 at small venues in Portland. Rolling Stones in Seattle, WA in May. Santana and the Doobie Brothers 6/30 in Ridgefiled, WA. Ozzy Osbourne & Megadeth 7/16 and Chicago 7/21 in Portland.
No arena bands touring my area this year, so gives me a chance to see other things.

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators were great last Sunday. They played 7 songs of their new album "Living the Dream". And of course a lot of solos from Slash, as expected. Myles was great as always. What a talented guy that is. I'm a huge Myles fan and I prefer seeing him perform with Alter Bridge or solo but I really enjoyed this show.

In case you’d missed it they filmed the recent London show for DVD release. What’s good about his current setlists is that he isn’t leaning heavily on GnR material.

I didn't know that. Something to look forward to. They only played one GnR Song. I didn't mind at all but I heard others complaining about that.

Unfortunately the tour hasn't come around here quite yet and with Alter Bridge due to pick back up later this year (which I'm also excited about), I'm not sure I'll get a chance to see SMKC on this cycle. I for one am glad the sets have cut down on the GNR material. With four Slash albums to draw from and three solid years of GNR touring, it makes sense to cut back on it and let the SMKC material be the focus.

Last night I went to see Brit Floyd. I'm not a Pink Floyd fan, we went for hubby, but I do like some of their more 'rock' songs. I've seen Aussie Floyd twice and Roger Waters himself, but I have to say that Brit Floyd were far better than both.

Was contemplating maybe seeing Alice Cooper and Halestorm but ticket prices have turned me off. Well, that and ticketmaster making me wait 10 minutes before I could even get to the ticket buying page. That put me in a bad mood before I even saw the prices.
I'm just not paying $150-$200 a ticket to see that bill....especially when Halestorm is the act I most want to see. Is the demand for Alice Cooper really that high to justify the prices they're looking for?
I think I'll just wait and catch Halestorm playing one of their own headline gigs in a smaller venue somewhere when I can pay $40-$50 a ticket. Or maybe see if ticket prices fall later.

My concert year starts tonight with Metallica. Then in March I've got Y&T, Whiskey Myers, P!nk, Winger, and Red Dragon Cartel. In April - KISS, Rival Sons, Black Stone Cherry and Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown, and Whitesnake. In May - The Winery Dogs, Last In Line, Greta Van Fleet, and Hootie & the Blowfish. If I can get all the time off work I need for those. Summer is slow so far, maybe Blackberry Smoke and Iron Maiden. Had to drop Y&T and RDC unfortunately. Added Bryan Adams in May. Now have Tesla, The Record Company, and Shinedown in June. Maybe Heart/Joan Jett in August. Def Leppard in Vegas x2 in September. Blue Oyster Cult in October.

Saw Thunder yesterday at De Bosuil in Weert. One of the best live bands I've ever seen! And yesterday they were as great as the other 17 times I saw them in the past. I never get enough of Higher Ground, Don't wait for me, Low Life, Backstreet Symphony, etc. I'm so glad they visit my little country every few years.Very underrated band in most parts of the world.
