This was the first and last time I got to see Chris Cornell on stage at Rockville in Florida! Three weeks later I heard that he passed away. Listening to some Sound Garden this weekend in his memory!

I'm just too into the new Crazy Lixx to pay much attention to anything else right now. Toss 80's Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Skid Row and maybe Crazy Nights era Kiss in a blender and I think this Crazy Lixx album is the result Is this "Forever Wild"? I'll check it out.

Lately it's been a mix of ABBA, Merle Haggard and AC/DC

Yep Check out Silent Thunder a few posts above in this thread. Also check out the song "Eagle"....that one seems heavily Def Leppard influenced IMO. Whole album is fantastic if you like that style of throwback 80s rock music. I'm just too into the new Crazy Lixx to pay much attention to anything else right now. Currently listening to the new Rammstein album. I've been a fan for a long time, and in my head I've always thought of them as the "opposite corner" to Def Leppard with regards to my musical tastes.
But now I think about it, I'm drawn to the riffs, the hooks, and the crystal clear production, so in some ways it's not really that much of a stretch.
I'm growing into the new album and I think I'll end up really liking it. My problem though is that I was originally intrigued by Rammstein because they were mysterious, foreign, and at times a little bit creepy and scary.
But that intrigue is starting to wear off. After 20 years of mainstream success and exposure they're now about as creepy and scary as Nickelback. But in German.

Heard of this band for years and decided it's not for me. But i recently heard their cover of Bad Company and started listening to the rest of their music. Great Lyrics and Dynamic Music.

Right there with you! Easily my favorite band next to Leppard also. If these guys could ever get an opening spot for Leppard on a US tour I'd guarantee they'd quickly pick up a large number of fans and many people would be asking "Why have I never heard of these guys?" I know the financial aspects of the whole thing are tough these days.....I miss the old days when promoters would've been all over these guys hoping to score the next big thing. Cool video and really looking forward to the live Blu Ray/CD coming out. Great opportunity for many to see them live that haven't had the chance. Also have to add I'm really looking forward to seeing them on the Monster Of Rock Cruise in February. It's great seeing them added to that cruise as it shows somebody is paying attention. I'm sure they'll open some eyes there and hopefully it can lead to more opportunities in the future. Maybe I can talk to Rick Allen on board to see if he can pull some strings for them These guys have been my Fav band next to leppard for the last 5 years or more. I would love to see them tour the US with leppard as an opener.

Who remembers the band Firehouse? I seen they were still playing recently out on the east coast. I remember going to see them the first time opening up for Tesla on there Psychotic Supper tour (funny thing is I remember taking my school picture that year in that Tesla concert shirt lol), then also seeing them in a bar in Rapid City to maybe about 100 of us. Great Times!!

Great band and really super nice guys. Looking forward to seeing them on the Monster of Rock cruise in Feb. They're a band that would be a perfect opener for Leppard IMO. Listening to a Leps Japanese show from the SFTSL tour and I was taken by surprise to hear Go pop up half way through the set. I’d forgotten about it’s inclusion on that tour. What a great song.

Currently stuck on a bus for 30 hours. Have played every single Leppard studio album. Was going to start on the compilations and then my seatmate started blaring Miley Cyrus while two rows back a little kid started singing “Frozen.” Someone else is playing Bieber so loudly I’m tempted to look and see if there’s a boom box involved.. I’m currently trying to keep my sanity with some Down ‘n Outz. Send help! (Anyone else notice what a Leppard sound “One More Chance to Run” has? Trying to figure out what song it reminds me of. I have many hours to research.)

Been listening to Van Halen 1984 today in honor of my sister, Cindy. Today would have been her 55th birthday. She was in love with DLR...lol. She was the reason I was into music at such a young age. She was 14 years older than me. She liked Def Leppard, but VH was her band.

The RRHOF show made me want to hear more of Roxy Music, so I’ve been listening to their Best Of quite a bit lately. Funny, since the Ceremony, I've been listening to The Cure and The Zombies more. I hadn't listened to either in years. Maybe I'm trying to relive that night. :-) Or Def Leppard reintroduced me to some old music. My sister likes the cure

Lots of newer bands, although Band-Maid has been around awhile, as have many of the J-metal and rock groups like Mary's Blood, Dollhouse and Aldious...all good but none compare to BM in my opinion. Lots of melodic metal to go with the prominent bass riffs and hella energized drumming...lots of double kick. Kinda like thrash metal meets glam rock, but with bass solos (Sav sad face) and lots of catchy pop rock choruses and harmonized vocals. I would imagine Def Lepp fans should like them if they don't mind singing that is mostly in Japanese, which is a language that lends itself very well to both fast-paced staccato rock/punk singing and symphonic\anthemic type metal singing. Anyhoo, I digress but I really like them and I'm gonna see them live in NYC this fall.
In addition, I'm listening to a lot of The Warning, Liliac, Tempt and even some Baby Metal haha. And of course Def Leppard...Vive Hysteria has become the permanent physical media fixture in my car...everything else is streamed.

Glad you like them! Just fantastic and my favorite band going right now besides Leppard of course. Just fabulous and if we were still in the 80s they'd be all over MTV and on their way to playing stadiums IMO. Also have to add they are really some of the most down to earth, humble and nicest guys...got to spend quite a bit of time chatting with them in Chicago when they played there. Any they're big Leppard fans I'd recommend checking out the the new Live At Sweden Rock Festival Blu Ray...their energy is fantastic! For me their last 3 studio albums are all phenomenal. tsmithNice rec on H.e.a.t.!! I dig it...guy has a very powerful 80's metal voice. Love it. Gonna check out some more tonight at home.

Been listening to a lot of Leppard recently. All day at work. All day at home. Never. Gets. Old. Bring on Vegas!! On a side note, since I have Lep playing in my room at work all day, I have had several patients recently comment on my great choice of music, which leads me to ask, "Oh, are you a Def Leppard fan?". Then they can't shut me up. I will talk their ear off. I pull out my phone and scroll through 7000 Def Leppard pictures like they are my family...lol. It makes the work day so much better when you can talk about your favorite band while cleaning teeth.

She also really likes Ty Dolla, with an occasional random dash of Bieber thrown in. To each their own--no shade. But man would I prefer Leppard.
