Listened to the entire Slang deluxe last night on a long journey to watch the football. A fantastic document of a very unique period in the Leps history.

Yes. Erik Martensson is Eclipse's lead singer and is doing some vocals/backing vocals, song writing and guitar work for W.e.t. Magnus Henriksson from Eclipse is also doing guitar in W.e.t. Great stuff. Hey Shawn, is the lead singer/guitarist from Eclipse playing guitar as well in WET?

L.A. Guns played the night of the Riverdogs show. Really liked their show, so went to see them again Sunday evening.. As always, the one person at the show who feels the need to put their hands way, way up in the air, for the entire show, is right in front of me.

Been hearing a song on Planet Rock for the last week or so that I thought sounded like a Scott Weiland solo track or something from his Velvet Revolver days, turns out its the new Stone Temple Pilots track with their new singer.

I've decided to give Apple Music a try and catch up on all the releases I've been meaning to get to - starting with STONE GODS (thanks to andylgr for the prompt). LOVING IT!

I recommend them to anyone I can. If you like music like The Darkness (where Stone Gods are born from) then I think you’ll like them. I love the heavier side too with Burn the Witch, Defend or Die and Knight of the Living Dead. I’m pleased you like it.

They seem like a great alternative for those who can't get past Justin Hawkins and his falsetto. Dan Hawkins is a seriously underrated guitarist/songwriter.

The Corrs Song of Solomon and The Sun and The Moon, from their latest album, very quiet, haunting, introspective. They haven't announced a tour but would be good to see them, I play their greatest hits a lot.
Lightning Strike by Judas Priest, classic stuff, not biggest fan of Priest but works, sure the hardcore loves it. May catch them later this year.
Man Enough, nuff said!

Whitesnake The Purple Tour Live - yet another very nice cd/dvd combo from Whitesnake. This was recorded on their UK tour with Def Leppard in Birmingham England 2015, it sounds good and for the dvd I must admit that they’ve done a good job to make it look like a proper Whitesnake headline show, because its difiicult to see Leppards backline behind the Whitesnake drums and screens. So in that regard thwy did well. There’s some strange editing choices in what looks like some angles seeming like bootleg video footage, I thought that effect was a bit jarring. It’s been over 2 years since this tour and those Whitesnake sets and stage raps were engrained in my mind because I saw them 5 times and every time was the same setlist, but I must say it’s great to have an official record of a show I was at.

My latest discovery is a Finnish band called Beast In Black. Their album "Berserker" being played again and again within the last days. "Repeat 1" used for some of the songs from time to time.
