Download announcement underwhelming, Avenged, Queens Stone Age, Fall out boy. Latter have zero people head banging. The lineup makes me think that next year they are trying to not use classic rock bands as a crutch. Very disappointing though, I won’t be going.

Metallica adding single festival shows in Europe, just added Oslo and Milan. Read ACDC maybe doing Oslo festival as well. Will see Metallica for 2 shows in Warsaw.
Metallica's schedule allows for them to do Hyde Park in London. Apparently 2 more shows to be announced.

New Gun single very good, hope album up to this standard.
See Heart are playing Hellfest their first European tour date 2024, hope I can see them somewhere in Europe, bucket list.
New Bruce Dickinson Friday, hurrah!
ACDC dates not confirmed yet. If not confirmed by Friday difficult to see tickets on sale before Christmas, ditto Leppard. Definitely can see Leppard doing special guest honours in Europe for couple of shows. ACDC special guests for Rolling Stones in 2003, did 3 shows I think.

Quite like the new Bruce Dickinson single Afterglow, sounds like really solid album track. Weird hearing Bruce on song with 25 second guitar solo, normally 3 minutes 25 seconds!

Anyone have any favourite albums from 2023? Apart from Drastic Symphonies obviously Really like the new Royal Blood Ayron Jones And The Cold Stares Interested to hear if any one has any albums from 2023 they really liked! Loved the royal blood album. Got a chance to see them live last Nov and they put on a killer show. I’d add The Struts - Pretty Vicious to my list. Phenomenal album and really showcases the strong points of each band member. Fall Out Boy - So Much For Stardust. This slid into my top 3 fav albums of 2023 and also top three FOB albums for me. Catchy hooks and great production. Ghost - Phantomime. A covers EP but just a fun ride from start to finish. I didn’t expect a Ghost cover of a tina turner song and they blew We Don’t Need Another Hero out the park

I haven't listened to the new Struts one. Will add that to my list. And Ghost!

Liking the 3 songs released from the next Judas Priest album, good variety.
In UK last week the number 1 album had within it's total 1500 USB's sold. Chart rules allow it in UK, so recently couple of artists have started releasing USB's. Seems a new album can be streamed, downloaded, sold on vinyl, CD, cassette and USB! Bit sad, sure forum members want Leppard catalog on USB's!
ACDC date announcement is stressing me out! Supposed to start May. Leppard no dates May June, Last In Line have May 4th date listed, sure they could do couple special guest shows in Europe. Vienna 23 and 26 June rumoured ACDC, I stop work June 21, hope it works.

New The Warning single S!ck is very good.
Still no ACDC dates, latest rumour has dates announced February 12, tickets on sale Feb 16, less than good as I would be at an airport when Euro tickets go sale. Hope rumour untrue!
New Bon Jovi album coming 2024, likely to nix any Sambora tour this year?
Liking the new Bruce Dickinson single.

Hoping there is a USA show that is remotely close to me. Somehow, I have never caught these guys live. It was one of those things where I think I always kind of kept thinking I'd catch them the "next time they came" and then 30 years flew by lol. Fingers crossed I'm able to catch them this time as it could very likely their last run. I know the band isn't what it used to be but as long as Brian and Angus are there, I'll be good with that.

ACDC hope dates work for everyone. Think more Euro dates than US. Hope announcement this week.

Not really sure how I feel about the AC/DC tour. I love the band and love their music and I do want to see them one last time, but then again is it only going to be Brian and Angus touring who are regulars? Obviously their nephew will be playing in place of Malcolm, which hes done many times before. There were rumours that Cliff Williams wouldn't be out on tour (even though he did the Power Trip gig last year) and of course they had a different drummer with them too for that gig. If Cliff was on bass and either Phil Rudd or Chris Slade were on drums then maybe I'd feel more positive about it. I've seen them twice before (Donington 1991 and again on the Black Ice tour in 2008) so I don't feel like I'd be missing out if I don't go. Maybe I'll get caught up in the hype when they go on sale, I don't know.

Big 5 appearing on ACDC's Instagram account, most assume Monday announcement tickets on sale later that week. If Friday as I live in Bangkok, 6/7 hours ahead of UK Europe I will be en route to or be at the airport when tickets go on sale late morning UK Euro time. Bummer!
Saw ACDC 3 times on last tour so if I miss out so be it. No interest in seats. Seen them 5 times overall.
Will see Metallica in Europe, lot of other possible shows to see like Foo Fighters, Extreme and Bruce Dickinson.
Fingers xx everyone gets tickets.

Get that completely. Having never seen them, I think that leads me to be a bit forgiving on the lineup. As long as Agnus and Brian are there, I think I'd be happy. I'm basically debating between attending Def Leppard or AC/DC this summer and have been holding off on Leppard tickets until the AC/DC announcement. Obviously, Leppard is my favorite band but having seen them 25 times or whatever and not wanting to see Journey again (and another Leppard hits setlist), I might just opt for AC/DC instead. I could see them both, but I'll be spending darn near $1,000 for two tickets & travel/hotel for either show so kind of feel like I'm forced to choose one at those prices. It's nuts that attending a concert these days is basically equivalent to what a whole week vacation somewhere nice used to be! Heck, I remember our honeymoon 27 years ago...our total cost for two people was $1,500 for a week in Cancun at an all-inclusive resort with all you could eat and drink and that included airfare. Now I can barely get 2 decent tickets to a 2-3 hour concert, dinner and a hotel room for the night at that cost! Not really sure how I feel about the AC/DC tour. I love the band and love their music and I do want to see them one last time, but then again is it only going to be Brian and Angus touring who are regulars? Yeah, rumors I've seen suggest maybe only 10 dates around the USA at major cities. Not sure where that would be but assume New York City would probably be one of those and likely where I'd have to head. $1.2 billion for Queen catalog, sale soon. Ker-ching! Yeah, rumors I've seen suggest maybe only 10 dates around the USA at major cities. It seems like it could be a Rolling Stones-esque stadium tour with a small amount of dates. A short tour may mean that Cliff Williams takes part too. These shows will be a license to print money such is the demand.

As Superbowl nears Usher has 35 new RIAA certifications, vast majority new, for songs released 20 years ago. Only know his hits imagine half time show will be fun.
Bon Jovi You Give Love double platinum UK (1.2 million) post 2004 sales.
Rumoured ACDC dates I saw has them doing 12 German shows, only 3 UK (2 London, Glasgow), no Scandanavia. 2 shows per week, not a lot of room for North America.
Hope Superbowl good game, I will watch condensed play by play after the game, compilation of ads, Half Time show. Prediction Kelce takes pass from Mahomes with 5 seconds to go, lays it off to Taylor Swift for a Touchdown, America goes wild!

Curious how many Classic Rock songs featured on Superbowl ads.
