Well Hell Yeah!!! It was meant to be. This kid has the chops of bach and stage presence of a season pro. I can't wait to see them live sample of new song - low quality LAS VEGAS ARE YOU READY TO ROCK? 🔥 March 26 – April 16th at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino I see that Skid Row have recruited ex-HEAT singer Erik Grönwall as their new vocalist.

Fair point the way Skid Row has gone through singers lol. Either way though, probably a nice move for both. Erik will increase his exposure to the US audience and the band might actually be worth watching and listening to again. I don't know if I see it being a very long term either though. Part of me feels like Erik is too talented to be stuck in basically a nostalgia band. But I understand the appeal to him of getting the chance to lead a well known rock band and the challenge of trying to bring them back into relevance. For me the key is going to be how well they embrace doing new music with Erik. I mean, frankly, they don't have that great of a music catalog as they have 1 great debut and Slave to the Grind was pretty good. And that's about it. I feel like they have the ability with Erik to put out some fantastic new music. I guess we'll see. As a huge fan of Gronwall with H.E.A.T, I'm still bummed he left them. But this could be a great move for him to increase his exposure. And could also be a huge move for Skid Row. Frankly, they've not been relevant to me since Bach left. But Erik is a fantastic frontman and he will win people over. One has to wonder why they keep chewing through singers and how long Gronwall will stick with them. But if all involved play their cards right, they could have something pretty good and I'd go so far as to say I could see them possibly being the third or 4th band on a Def Leppard bill down the road. I mean, something like Leppard, Tesla and Skid Row would be a pretty nice headline tour bill for Leppard IMO. Here's video of Erik doing a cover of 18 and Life from last August. I'd say he'll fit in well So, will he last long enough for the album to actually be released?

Thanks for sharing this he definitely nailed that cover. I was also disappointed when he left Heat and right after making what I thought was one of their better albums. I think Heat can carry on without him but he made that band one of the premiere modern day hard rock bands for sure. Skid Row hasn't been on my radar screen in over 25 years and Erik puts them back on the map for me. Definitely an interesting turn of events and while I don't know that I want to see him with a band that's had such a revolving door of singers (or don't know how long it will last) I definitely think they could make great music together. To commemorate its 40th anniversary they’ve reissued it…….. on cassette! WTF?

Agree 100% with all you said. That said, have heard the new Skid Row song with Erik on vocals that is officially out tomorrow. For me it's easily the best Skid Row song in the past 25 years. Sounds like a mixture of Skid Row's debut album and HEAT. Think a new album is due out in October. Who knows how long it will last but I see little downside for Skid Row or Erik. And hopefully it results in some cool new music and makes them interesting to watch live. Thanks for sharing this he definitely nailed that cover. Finally a vocalist that can pull pf the old songs perfect.
Even thou Skid Row only has 2(3if im being nive) great/classic albums its still such massive albums that its impossible for them to escape them. The songs the fans wanna listen to aimt a version of the old somgs, we wanna hear the old songs as we remember them.
Skid row has been, imo, far away from soundong like the did when performing their old songs. Now that can change, question is if its to late or will Skid Row be able to become a big touring band or support act again?

After seeing this cover you shared I figured it was overdue that I subscribed to Erik's Youtube channel. Unrelated to Skid Row but stumbled upon his cover of probably my favorite Van Halen song DREAMS today. Wow! Agree 100% with all you said. Hope DC will be ok. http://instagr.am/p/Cg45MOpPycq That could be Coverdale done now. The farewell tour hasn’t gone as well as expected. When I saw them on the UK tour his voice was the worst it’s ever been, possibly he had that infection then? Or maybe hes just not up to it anymore? They also had Reb Beach missing for a few shows due to illness too on the European leg. Such a shame because the band he’s got around him now is the best I’ve seen with him.

I’ve had tickets for the Ozzy / Judas Priest U.K. tour for about 4 years now, it’s keeps getting postponed with ozzy’s health issues. TBH I thought it won’t happen and they’re just earning interest in the bank on the money. Ozzy recently had what was described as life altering surgery, but surprise surprise he popped up with Tony Iommi on tv last night playing at the closing ceremony of the commonwealth games in Birmingham. Maybe there’s hope for the tour yet.

45 years ago today. It was also a Tuesday. I was home on Summer break from college just before the start of my sophomore year. I had visited the shopping mall that day to buy a copy of the book "Elvis What Happened?" and settled in to begin reading it. I don't remember exactly when the news of Elvis' death broke on TV. Just that it was somewhere between 2:30 and 4PM. I was stunned and heartbroken. It just didn't seem possible. I was going to travel to Memphis to see Elvis in concert on August 28th. It would have been my 6th Elvis concert. My concert ticket came in the mail the day he died. When my father arrived home from work that day, the first thing he said to me was "Please don't go to Memphis". I didn't go, but I was glued to the television through Elvis' funeral on August 18th. I watched every second of coverage I could find.

I think Maiden have done that to appeal to old school fans too, Somewhere in Time has been largely ignored for years, but has some great songs on it. Doubt I'll go as I just don't enjoy Senjutsu at all.

Maiden adding multiple nights in Germany for their futurepast tour, the Germans do love their metal! And then headline Wacken.
Curious how huge the Taylor Swift US tour will be. Could expand to 50 shows all big stadiums where average sales should top 50000 per show. Ticket prices between $49 and $449, VIP $199 to $899. No platinum seats for Taylor. Average ticket price could hit $250 as Bad Bunny recently averaged this for his stadium tour in US.
No Canadian, European or Australian dates confirmed. Rogers baseball stadium in Toronto has roof, ditto stadiums in Amsterdam and Stockholm but she may not be able to go beyond 18 European shows because fall/autumn will make that difficult. Or wait to 2024.
Could be 80 shows in 2023, have a gross north of $800 million, maybe hit a billion!

Taylor Swift US tour expands to 52 dates. If she plays in the middle of stadiums potential attendance could top 3.5 million, end of venues 2.5 million. Staggering numbers. $1 billion total gross after international dates is possible. Go Tay Tay.

Taylor breaks Ticketmaster! All 2.5 million tickets gone in pre sale. $600 million gross so far? Third tier tickets selling for $225, yikes. Live Nation monopoly, calls to be broken up. Lot of unhappy Swifties out there, probably not please Taylor. Sufficient demand to add shows in 2024 as only playing 20 US cities. Billion dollar gross easy if Taylor wants it.

Did some maths yesterday and excluding Download in UK venues Metallica are playing in the round for their tour have total capacity of 3.6 million or 75000+ per show. Looking at seating maps suggests at least 2.4 million tickets had been sold within 24 hours of going on general sale. Strongest markets Canada and Germany, weakest Copenhagen and shows listed 2024. Great work from Metallica. Ticket gross so far should be well above $300 million.
