Black Stone Cherry headline second day of Ramblin Man Festival, 130 pounds or $200 for 2 days of Whitesnake, Europe, Airbourne and a lot of other dreary looking stuff. I shall book Iron Maiden instead.
If Airbourne's new album is Mutt produced, one to look forward to in 2016.

Saw my fifth Steel Panther show last night. Did the meet and greet too, which was a blast.
AC/DC's "Shoot To Thrill" came on a song or two before SP hit the stage. Put me in a full on Lep headspace.
Anyway, the set was fairly standard.
Eyes Of A Panther Tomorrow Night Fat Girl Just Like Tiger Woods Turn Out The Lights Asian Hooker Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World Ten Strikes You're Out The Stocking Song Girl From Oklahoma 17 Girls In A Row Gloryhole Death To All But Metal -------------- Community Property Party All Day ( **Censored** All Night)
It was a great show and funny as hell as always, but the performance of "Girl From Oklahoma" was particularly crazy. They brought up Satchel's grandma to sit on stage during the song, which of course brought on enough jokes in itself. Michael Starr change the lyrics to "I found an Elvis laminate inside of your @$$," and then screwed the song up entirely so they had to restart from the first chorus. During the solo, he kept getting the grandma to sing and because of her voice, he said "my precious" in his Gollum voice, which caused Stix to lose it, and then Michael to lose it. The whole thing was extra funny since they were really breaking 'character' since even they couldn't stop laughing.
Would like to see a better spread of songs from the three albums (especially more from All You Can Eat) but these guys never disappoint. Great way to end a hell of a year for concerts.
Oh, and to Steel Panther's credit... The opening band was a local group called The F*ck Off And Dies, and they were dreadful. They had a sign at the front of the stage that simply said F*CK and every single song was about saying that word and/or partying. It grew old very, very quickly and the crowd (a STEEL PANTHER crowd) was not into it at all. Shows that Steel Panther has found the right balance of being absurd while also having well written songs and at least a little variety in the lyrical content even though it's all obscene jokes. The fact that the crowd ate up 100 minutes of that but couldn't take 35 minutes of the opener really put that into perspective.

Just got AC/DC tickets!!! Got my ticket for Manchester this morning! I saw them at Wembley Stadium in July and they were immense! They usually have a day off between shows but 5 days between London and Manchester? I think they'll announce another show in between.

I'm going to try for tickets to AC/DC in St. Louis in February. Kind of feel like this is my last chance to see them so I have to make it count.

On the tour that's just finished, they were having a day off between shows taking place at the same venue but, where travelling was involved, the maximum was four days from Dublin to London, for example. They only took two nights off between Germany and Glasgow so four nights between London and Manchester seems a big gap. As it stands now the tour finishes in Denmark two weeks before Glastonbury weekend so maybe we'll get some more UK dates leading up to it? They have a habit of adding shows after the initial announcement (Belgium has been added since the original list earlier this week and has already sold out!). OK, so I'm just being optimistic that they add another show!!! Got to catch them while you can - they tour the UK less often than Leppard!

I'm going to try for tickets to AC/DC in St. Louis in February. Kind of feel like this is my last chance to see them so I have to make it count. I would suggest trying the Live Nation app. I had an issue buying Adele tickets yesterday for my mom (along with the rest of the world), but apparently I would've been fine if I used the app. When ACDC tix for FL went on sale this morning I tried a few browsers as well as the app, and the app gave me 10th row floor when the browser gave me nothing. Good luck!

Looks like Skid Row have parted company with their new singer who only joined recently. Reunion with Sebastian Bach to tie in with the GnR reunion maybe?

I saw that. Wouldn't surprise me at all. Bolan's held out for too lomg about it and whilst he's stuck to his guns for this long it ain't gonna pay his rent or food bills.
No-one cares about Skid Row anymore they are literally playing to 25-30 people a night. Reunion package with GnR gives them a shot in the arm that they could make some cash with.
Am I right in understanding that Izzy is not going to be part of the GnR reunion?

I was listening to Rumours by Fleetwood Mac on my way to work this morning and for the first time it struck me that Stevie Nicks really sounds like she is full of a cold on the main vocal to Dreams.
Have a listen...

I loved Johnny with them but never had the chance to see Tony with them. I love Tony but didn't think he was a perfect fit for Skids. If your a fan of the band you support all members not only the lead singer, just because the singer leaves doesn't mean you can only support the band if it has the original singer in it. I've seen Skid Row and Baz solo many times. I support all of them not just a singer. I love the music and I'm there to enjoy the music and support the guys.

Saw my 6th Steel Panther show last week, and it was probably the second best of their's I've seen. The comedy routine was a little less staged (heard a lot of new material there) and it just seemed so much more honest, so I really liked that. Oh, and more boobies than usual too They played Photograph too... I'm headed back to Vegas for another round tomorrow, and there's no where I'd rather be....(except on the boat haha ) Got another one coming up in February too They are the most entertaining show I've ever seen. Definitely my favorite live band.

Definitely my favorite live band. I consider myself a pretty hardcore Fanther as well - I'm generally a big fan of some humour in my music. Absolutely love The Darkness, and does anybody remember Scatterbrain? Take away the jokes and a Steel Panther album still features some of the best songwriting, performance and production you'll hear anywhere. All You Can Eat is a vastly underrated masterpiece, in my opinion.

Got this beauty on order, which should be here very soon:
Thunder - All You Can Eat
Disc 1 - Starter - Live At RAK Studio 1
Once the Wonder Days album was completed, the band was asked by their record label to record some live B-Sides and extra tracks for formats. The session took place at London’s RAK Studio 1 on November 4th 2014. The plan was to record 100% live, and as quickly as possible. They played fourteen songs one after another, with no breaks, no stops, overdubs or fix ups. The end result is astonishingly good. There was also a live acoustic session next day, but the recordings are filed away for a possible later release (it didn’t fit on the CD). Some of the songs in this session have not been played live since.
Disc 2 - Main Course - Live At The Brooklyn Bowl
The Brooklyn Bowl live show on November 6th 2014 was offered as a free competition to fans, in association with Classic Rock Magazine. Tickets were free, and fans applied online for the chance to be there. The band played 3 brand new songs from the ‘Wonder Days’ album for the first time in the UK (3 months ahead of the release) alongside Thunder classics, and some never played before covers. No cameras were allowed, no video, no social media updates, just word of mouth. Thunder fans duly obliged, and the evening was stunning. The audio and video on the night were both captured, and eight audio highlights were given away on the cover of Classic Rock Magazine in January 2015. The rest have stayed in the filing cabinet, until now. The whole show is on this disc.
Disc 3 - Dessert - The Wonder Days Film
A 70 minute documentary made by Tim Sidwell from Toward Infinity.
This film details the story behind the band getting back into the studio after 6 years to make the ‘Wonder Days’ album.
Featuring studio footage from the WD session, extensive band interviews, clips from the live session at RAK Studio 1, the Brooklyn Bowl live show, and the triumphant UK arena shows in March 2015. It’s a very entertaining, informative, honest and detailed film, and very much the band “in their own words".
Bonus video includes the band’s Loud Park show in Japan in October 2014 (filmed for TV), plus 7 video clips from the RAK session, and 6 from The Brooklyn Bowl show.
Starter: Live at RAK Studio 1 CD: 1 - Wonder Days (Live) 2 - The Thing I Want (Live) 3 - When The Music Played (Live) 4 - Black Water (Live) 5 - Resurrection Day (Live) 6 - I Love The Weekend (Live) 7 - Chasing Shadows (Live) 8 - Serpentine (Live) 9 - Be Good To Yourself (Live) 10 - The Rocker (Live) 11 - Superstition (Live) 12 - Up Around The Bend (Live) 13 - I'm Down (Live) 14 - The Stealer (Live)
Main Course: Thunder Live at The Brooklyn Bowl CD: 1 - Backstreet Symphony (Live) 2 - The Thing I Want (Live) 3 - Black Water (Live) 4 - Low Life In High Places (Live) 5 - Be Good To Yourself Live) 6 - Wonder Days (Live) 7 - The Devil Made Me Do It (Live) 8 - Resurrection Day (Live) 9 - Stand Up (Live) 10 - The Rocker (Live) 11 - Love Walked In (Live) 12 - Dirty Love (Live) 13 - Up Around The Bend (Live) 14 - Just Another Suicide (Live)
