I hope the tour with Crue is over after the dates this month, but hopefully it doesn't open up the possibility of a Leps / Journey tour either. I;d love to see them out on their own as bona fide headliners, but can they sell enough tickets in the US? What will be very interesting is if they try to carry on in stadiums or play arenas. Are Whitesnake still planning on completing a Farewell tour of the US? Could they be on the bill? Bon Jovi/ Def Leppard plus Whitesnake?!!!

I'm sure I read somewhere recently that Coverdale isn't well enough yet. I wouldn't be surprised if he was done now.

With LIL canceling their December shows due to a conflict with Def Leppard, I've been assuming there will be a big press event in December to announce the 2024 tour. This Eddie Trunk post now has me wondering if someone realized that logistically it makes sense to do the announcement in November. Def Leppard finish in Australia on November 14th. Why fly everyone home and then fly them back to the announcement location three or four weeks later? Just fly to LA from Australia on November 15th and do the tour announcement event on November 16th or 17th.

Jeez. I really hope it’s not Journey again. I’m not sure who my wish would be. Lep alone is too unlikely. If paired with Bon Jovi I think the tickets - especially the vip will be through the roof. A good old shed tour to hopefully see a couple shows would make me happy.

Thinking about what Def Leppard show I've enjoyed most in the last 5 to 10 years, and it's hands down the Hysteria and More tour in 2018. Just the Leps, sold out arenas, felt like an event and an occasion, and a great setlist with changes from the norm. I'd like to see something along those lines in 2024.

Def Leppard/ACDC Stadium tour?

ACDC Def Leppard stadium tour would be something else. Can see Lepps doing special guest honours in Europe (ex UK?) and South America. In Germany ACDC did 700,000 tickets on Rock or Bust tour, Power Up sold 160k first week and was biggest selling album of the year. ACDC close.
Maybe North America Lepps do their own headlining.
ACDC select tour dates, maybe 40 worldwide. 14 NA, 6 South America and Mexico,14 Europe, 6 Oz?
Curious about Eddie Trunk interviewing Angus, Eddie 999 words, Angus 1.

Def Leppard/ACDC Stadium tour? No one would go for the Leps though (Ok no one is an exaggeration). They'd go to see the funny guy in the school uniform dancing like a duck and the bloke who lost his hearing but got it back again. Besides stadiums are cold, souless bowls with crap acoustics. Def Leppard on their own with a quality support act in arena's designed for live music would be much more preferable (to me).

I don't love the idea of another Stadium tour with big crowds and big prices but I have to say I'd be 100% down with this. Have never seen AC/DC and would be awesome seeing them paired with Leppard. Either way, it would be nice for them to get next years plans out there soon. Tour, Residency, whatever....I'd just like to get plans secured if I need to. Def Leppard/ACDC Stadium tour?

As much as the band love The Struts I’d love to see them do a tour together. Lep obviously headline and the struts would be a hella good opener. Add another newer band and it would be much more appealing to me than a Bon Jovi or AC/DC. If it had to choose tho AC/DC would be my vote. Bon Jovi ( well Jon) is about one small step above Vince Neil in the vocal department now.

If AC/DC tour ( and I believe they will) I don’t see it being a comprehensive tour with a load of dates. I see it as being select dates in the big markets in stadiums spread out around the world . AC/DC are so big that they can be picky and choosy with who goes out with them and I do think they’ll attract some big acts, but if Leps did go out on tour as a support I think that would mean we don’t see many dates from them. Is that what they’d want? Of course a stadium tour with DC brings big publicity, but they’d still essentially be a support act.
I’m with Neil, the Hysteria and more shows have been their best tour in the UK probably since the Mirror Ball tour and I would love to see a headline tour with them as outright headliners and not sharing the bill.

Totally agree. That was a fantastic show & I agree 100% on them headlining on their own. LIke I said previously, they're big enough to play the NEC's/MEN's/SECC's etc of the world on their own (again).

Just seen that Queensryche are doing an “origins” tour next year. Playing their debut EP and album in their entirety. (I know queensryche only have 2 original members), but imagine the Leps doing select shows like that for die hards.

Eddie and Michael are there, and Scott was pushed out while on leave for his wife having a baby, but he’s still a shareholder, and owns 33% of the band Yes. Scott Rockenfield left under a cloud too fairly recently, so just Eddie on bass and Scott on guitar are left. What happened to Michael Wilton?

Rick Allen might have given a clue away for upcoming tour. He posted a Bon Jovi guitar to his auction coming up. First time Jovi has entered an item to the foundation. Could be a hint of things to come.

I must have had Scott in my head when I wrote my reply, of course I meant Michael on guitar not Scott. It’s a strange situation with Scott. Left the band temporarily abd never came back. Whilst he was away he was posting stuff on Twitter criticising Todd. When Scott left the band basically said they didn’t know when he’d be back, so Todd also did the drums on one of their recent albums when Scott left.

Could be a hint of things to come. If it is with Bon Jovi then Jon needs Richie back to help with the backing/lead vocals. I really hope they just go out on their own tho.

I loved the idea of stadium tours at first. I saw them with Journey in Chicago and Boston which probably is some of the shows ive seen of the . And the Sheffield show with MC was also a great show imo. Ill go to these if thats the alternative. But id love to see them headline on their own now and maybe do an arena/sheds tour with a couple of stadiums thrown in where possible. I want them to headline because id love to see a show with more dragged out versions of songs and id love to see the guitarsolo versions that they did of for example Love Bites and Rocket during the Adrenalize tour. On the other hand i have no problem seeinf the money aspect and publicity side of it and the benefit of a co headline tour and the difference it probably makes when they can do those huge shows instead of the smaller ones. A Bon Jovi tour with Richie back would be great. Never sern Bon Jovi because i refuse to see them without hin. So id love co headline tour with them, but if the got a coheadline tour with anothe bnd ob that level ill take it

Cannot see any reason why a Def Leppard tour with ACDC has Leppard closing any show. Not happening. Kiss closed, ACDC different level to Kiss. ACDC streams more than 5 times Leppard each day, have 3 songs streamed more than 1 billion on Spotify, Sugar soon to reach 400 million.
Bon Jovi without Sambora in North America maybe switch closing duties. Sambora would not be returning to open for Leppard. Baseball and football stadiums all the way for Bon Jovi with Sambora.
If Lepps headline NA 2024 play with someone like Heart and Tesla do standard 90 minute set in sheds or arenas? Play with one other band do 105 minutes, add deeper cuts?
If Journey tour, rotate 36 stadiums. Imagine playing stadiums addictive!
Now that DSH tour maybe finished next summer play Take as opener add 2 deeper cuts. Spotify streaming numbers has 2 steps at 11 and Too Late at 14, one of those replace This Guitar. Replace Kick with 18 Women or 19 Let It Go? Maybe rotate some songs. Promises is 43 on Spotify, 41 Wasted, play Wasted!

The big "reveal" is something to do with who is in his touring band. All to be revealed first tomorrow morning with Howard Stern. Then Eddie will record a show with Sammy and band to be broadcast Wednesday.
