Fill more stadiums with Nickleback. Select markets for Bryan Adams. Ghost very select markets.
Who closes? Cannot see Ghost close over Lepps in North America or anywhere except Sweden.

Ghost are red hot right now. There last album won multiple album of the year titles and awards ( recently just won best rock album at the iheart awards) so I could most def see them be able to do a successful co-headline tour with Lep. They would bring a lot of new faces as there fanbase is significantly younger than Leps and vice versa I think Lep fans would enjoy the live show even if it is a bit theatrical.
Tbh tho Nickelback would make the most sense. They got 20 years of hits and your casual fan base would def enjoy the night of hits including a double dose of Photograph.

Bryan Adams has the hits, however that has been tried before. I believe it was what started all of this co-headline stuff. It started with switching closers. Then Shortley had to leave Lep as the closer because it emptied out after Lep when they opened.
Nickelback? I have no idea about them. Always hear the negative about them, but I like the music.
Ghost as much as I would love that!!!!!!!! I am not sure that would fill a stadium, but certainly arenas would be filled, and it would be a fantastic show exposing Leppard to a younger audience. Leppard fans would love Ghost, not sure the Ghost fans would love Leppard. All though I can say the many I spoke to at shows seem to be the kindest nicest people and open to discussing all types of music. I saw Ghost twice last year. Once in Austin and again in NY. the upper decks of the arenas were closed off. the floor and bottom bowl were 3/4 filled.

I guess the most obvious answer that many fans have been hoping for would be Bon Jovi. Their last run was in arenas where Jon's vocals were heavily criticised. It appears that Sambora may be returning. Personally, BJ were great back in the day, but they seem to have completely 'de-rocked' their arrangements - the vibe is very middle of the road, and very far from 'hard rock'. BJ may do their own stadium tour anyway with the whole 'reunion' PR spin.

Jon’s ego is to big to make it a coheadline and it would be the Leps opening every night and 2. They just don’t cut it live anymore for me.

I Voted Nickelback, but I’m curious if doing sheds and arenas as NB are with Brantley Gilbert… that’s an interesting pairing. It shows that NB is thinking outside the box, and could bode well for a team-up. But for how long , and how often (and where) can Lep fill a large venue?? And who with ?? Motley really did make the most sense. Bryan Adam’s was going to open the Bon Jovi arena tour that happened last year that was a disaster. If Bon Jovi can get it together with Richie, get Jon’s vocal issue handled - and fix their damn setlist that would fly, and be a safe bet. But can BJ do a legit stadium tour on their own?? I am not convinced. Not in the US anyway. The rarified air of Metallica, GnR, and AC/DC as Bonafide stadium headliners. Then, just below with Lep, BJ, Motley, Aerosmith (if they can do it)… Journey (meh).. U2?? For the love of all things, No… So, if they really want to play to big crowds, and often, thinking of blending eras, or unique pairings might be the next step.

I think it comes down to the same sized bands and the overall optics of the promo of the tour.
Nickelback and Def Leppard are pretty similar career wise. The question the grownups have to ask is, will the lineup sell 20 plus thousand tickets a night.

I don’t ever really recall either saying much about if they are fans of eachother. I’m Sure a respect level is there however

Richie coming back might help a bit. But the entire band needs to step up. Joe's issues are similar and the band can only help some much. But Joe had to change the key and how he sings each song. But he did a great job. I hear minimal cringe worthy moments during a show now.

With ghost you had the mutual talk of admiration for eachother and such. I just can’t recall ever if it’s happened between nickel back and lep. Just curious really.

www.alternativenation.net/nickelback-brutally-humiliated-by-def-leppard/"Kroeger further weighed-in on the issue and pointed out that Nickelback is far from being the only band that got this negative attention. He recalled his brief chat with Def Leppard members: “It’s funny because we were at the American Music Awards, and we were presenting, and we presented to Def Leppard. And when we walked backstage afterwards, Joe Elliott and Phil Collen turned to me, and they were just, like, ‘Dude, thank you so much.’ I’m, like, ‘For what?’ They were, like, ‘For taking the trophy. We get to pass the baton to you for being the most hated band in the world now.’ And I was just, like, ‘Oh, yeah. ‘Cause I want that.'”

They were rescheduled dates originally book at the time Covid hit, and Bryan wasn’t ready to tour. Jon’s vocal performance was the worst if his career. The reviews were really rough, attendance wasn’t great, and half of the setlist no one knew. Def Leppard has clearly proven they can fill stadiums. If they can do it with a fairly washed up version of Motley Crue they can probably do it with many other bands.
I voted other on the poll though as none of the acts listed would interest me much. I do casually like Nickelback and that would probably sell enough tickets but it feels like a bit of an odd pairing to me with Leppard.
My vote would be a pairing with AC/DC as that would be a fun show that would definitely sell. Or I wouldn't mind a pairing with Guns N Roses either assuming they'd agree to play a trimmed down 90 minute set. They could throw a 3rd band like a Tesla or Skid Row on as well to spice it up a little more.
Frankly, I think they can do just about whatever they want and people will show up 😀

Any pairing with ACDC, GnR, Bon Jovi, Lepps second on bill don't close. Richie returning guarantees big BJ sales, they had very big ticket sales in Europe on last tour.
Leaves us with small number of bands. In North America wouldn't be surprised of link with more rock orientated country band, for select dates, who that is don't know. Keith Urban?

No stadium tour anymore, pls I agree Stadiums are the worst!! Only benefit is for the band. Play as many people as possible in one show. The sound, lighting if you go on first, the weather, too big of a place. Just terrible all around.

Too big venue and too many people most of them occasional fans. Most of the time bad sound, higher stage if front stage, too small view of the stage in distant seats… Arena venues are much better imo. said that I’ll have 3/4 stadium concerts next summer 😂

Being the diehards we are, we want our band just the way we like them, and a slightly more intimate experience. But.. it’s their band, and we have to be grateful they can still do it at this level. Arguably better than ever. What don't you like about stadiums? Is it the venue or your age? I am not a fan of stadium concert in general. Well said. I mean, for me, basically the smaller the venue, the better! AS a fan, I'd much rather see them playing true headline sets in more "intimate" settings like sheds, casinos, etc. First of all, the sets are generally longer and deeper. Second, there are usually way better views of the band. And third, ticket prices have generally been quite a bit lower in those settings although that might be debatable today a prices seem to be skyrocketing for everything. That said though, clearly the goal of the band is to play to the biggest crowds possible and it's pretty prestigious to be able to play in a stadium setting. They've worked very hard to get to this point and I highly doubt they'll have much desire to go backwards and play smaller venues again. I feel like the hope for us diehards is that there will be another Residency type thing in Vegas, NYC or somewhere else. That's probably our best chance now to see the band in a more intimate setting. Being the diehards we are, we want our band just the way we like them, and a slightly more intimate experience. Now that powertrip is on sale night 2 is ACDC and Ozzy. Got to think the promotor has a contingency plan in place in case Ozzy backs out. Def Leppard that contingency plan?

I think it would be difficult with any of the referenced bands. Would need to mirror the Crue/Poison/Joan Jett tour. They did a co-headline with Bryan Adams in 2005, that focus was minor league baseball stadiums (maybe 7500-10k capacity) i think they have amassed a larger following since then with a lot of new fans but without a solid co-headline and opener(s) i think stadiums would be tough to fill.

Unfortunately, for us fans, tickets would be super pricey and really hard to get. Bon Jovi fans are rabid from what I understand.

I’ve been saying this since the Journey talk cooled off for next year. The Journey tour could still happen, but the list is short for who could do it. I wouldn’t bet much on a pairing from another era, or adjacent sub-genre. Many scoff at Motley and Journey pairings , but given Leps history, BJ is the clear choice. Now, BJ *could* tour with Motley, but I just can’t see that. I am bursting with anticipation to find out how it all plays out.
