Per eddie trunk..lol..the fan vote is NOT being tallied as the final vote.
I listened to the interview with Joe on that volume channel..he sounded an little under the weather.. and they would certainly want Pete there but it would be HIS decision to show up, not theirs.
Eddie told Joe he would vote for them.
Seeing I did that fan vote and now knowing it WON'T count..oopsey.

The top 5 fan-voted-artists are placed on a single ballot that is handled just like each of the top 5 artists ballots submitted by each of the 1000 rock hall voting members. Obviously we want Def Leppard to win the fan vote, but all that really matters is that they get into the top 5.

Allowed to vote for 5 artists each day. I'm not voting for anyone else! Important to only vote for Def Leppard each day.
If you look at the Top 5 votes so far 4 bands are UK based. RHoF are an American organisation so would think they want to at least 2 US based artists getting inducted.
Stevie Nicks, Todd Rundgren and Janet Jackson are US.
Radiohead, critics love them, likely to be inducted.
Lepps coin toss between them and The Cure? Hence why NOT voting for The Cure (as much as I like them) is very important.
More exciting than the mid-terms! Who would Taylor Swift vote for? Ho! Hope she has voted.

Not sure why ET would say the fan vote doesn't count but the HOF has the fans do this..
I voted.
Let's hope the band gets voted in in December 😊

I’m betting that once the hype after today is over - all the Stevie Nicks fans are going to stop voting daily. We all know how dedicated this group is - and we should have no problem taking over first place. I already told my husband we would be spending our anniversary in New York at the induction ceremony 😁.

Don't think there was ever any doubt that Steve would be included. It was Vivian and to a much lesser extent, Pete, who were questionable. About Flippin Time!!!!!!! Congratulations boys!

If they get in i bet the touring plans for 2019 change. How can they take a year off touring their biggest market when they just got inducted? That's a great thought - my only fear would be it ending up another year of "celebrating the catalog". If they are truly going on with another album next year would be the perfect year to put it together...give them some R and R time off the road, make an album, and come back in '20 celebrating not only the induction but the 40 year anniversary of OTTN and have a new album to boot (we could get a new song or 2 AND maybe WASTED or ROCK BRIGADE in the set ).

Last In Line's March 29th show has been rescheduled to March 22nd. March 29th is the date for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Hhhmmm. The inductees are announced in December. Plenty of time to reschedule LIL shows if necessary. Does Def Leppard know something we don't?

That's quite the 180 there, Joe. But I knew that was coming and have said for a long time that when the day came, the band would be accepting of it. Say what you will about the RRHOF but it's awesome to see Leppard finally recognized by them. Hopefully they get in on the first try and we get to see them play live on HBO next year. I really hope Pete, at the very least, attends the ceremony. It would be awesome to see him perform with the band for the first time since December 1981, but even if the band were to invite him to perform, I'm not sure that he would accept.

I gotta give Neal Schon some credit. When they were talking about how Leppard aren't in the RRHOF in an interview before the tour, Schon said "after this tour you will be". I think playing stadiums, MSG and whatnot really did make it impossible to ignore them.
Also, I gotta say that, while I'm happy to see them on the ballot, it's absolutely ridiculous that Roxy Music, one of the most influential bands of all-time, hasn't even been so much as nominated before this year.

This is beyond cool imo. I have been saying screw the RNRHOF, but it would be a validation from their peers and the industry itself if they get in. Could not be worse timing for me if they get inducted this year because there is no chance for me going now. So a small (very small) part of me wish that they get in with the class of 2020

This is ridiculous Stevie Nicks is already 10K votes ahead of DL. How is it that people think her solo body of work is strong enough?? I can name like two songs...maybe. But I'd have to hear the first 3 or 4 notes honestly.

took the time off work, already planning to be there.
don't necessarily care about the RNR HOF but it IS a good FU to the non-believers & very happy for them. 10000% deserving.

I read Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight forecast for the upcoming US mid-terms every day (someone I work with his cousin is standing for Congress, has an 80% chance of unseating the incumbent according to Nate), so have been watching the gap between Lepps and Stevie Nicks. When i went to sleep last night (Shanghai time) the gap was over 9,000, now it is below 8,500. Hope this trend continues.
Surprised The Zombies are doing so well hardcore must vote often. Radiohead maybe fans don't care.
Keep voting.

I suspect it's difficult for Def Leppard to gain ground because many voters are voting for both Def Leppard and Stevie Nicks, which just maintains the existing vote gap. People have to vote for Def Leppard, but not Stevie in order to close the gap. Obviously we get that, but many won't think of it that way.
