England is quite a small country. Someone who lives near Manchester is within 90 minutes of 5 Lepps concerts on the Hysteria tour. Below are the iron Maiden attendances for their Book of Souls UK tour. When tickets went on sale I speculated on the IM forum that as the cities were very close together that at least one venue would have a less than good turnout. I thought Liverpool would struggle, instead it sold out almost immediately! Instead Sheffield (cap about 13,000) and Leeds struggled.
Assuming Sheffield sells out, Birmingham and Manchester big metropolitan areas, Nottingham is a smallish venue, perhaps Liverpool could be the slow seller?

Liverpool is not only pulling in people from that surrounding area but also North Wales too, so I can see why that venue may sell well. Going South to North - Nottingham, Sheffield and Leeds are all on the M1 motorway corridor. Its only about 40 miles from Nottingham to Sheffield and its nearly the same from Sheffield to Leeds. But Leps have added a show at Newcastle instead of Leeds, which is another 130 miles north, thats a wise move because I think gigs in Sheffield, Leeds and also Nottingham are too close to each other. One thing to add is that I think we hate to travel, we may live in a small country but I would hazard a guess that most people don't like driving for a couple of hours to get to somewhere and with so many gig venues in the central part of the country it ensures that a lot people don't have to travel too far. The people that are missing out are those in the south west and north west with no venues being that close. |

I remember Shawn commenting once when i was complaining about Lepps playing amphitheatres in North America and them being located outside of cities, driving any distance in the UK for many people is a big thing. In North America people tend to talk about time rather than distance when driving.
Andyglr is a lucky man living so close to so many Hysteria shows. Hope they all sell really well.

I agree...so jealous of those UK shows....And still frustrated they aren't doing something similar for the US shows as this was the perfect opportunity IMO. I just don't understand why promoters wouldn't want this in the US also. Those will likely be the best shows to see on the whole tour. I don’t know the protocol about spare tickets but as it stands I have an empty seat next to me for this show.
I was meant to be going with my gf but we split up in April. All my friends are at a party I am missing to go to this concert.
Even my dad has flaked on me.
If anyone wants it let me know. I’m not even sure I want anything for it.
I’d rather it went to someone who maybe couldn’t afford it than it go to waste.
