What else would I listen to today other than Adrenalize? Trying to put myself into the same mindset I had this time 30 years ago. To be honest it’s a much easier to listen to now than it was with all the expectation following Hysteria.

Doing the same I really dig this album, probably more so than back when it came out for exactly the reason you mentioned. When it came out, it kind of felt like a bit of a letdown after Hysteria. Looking back now though, it was kind of the last Leppard album to have that kind huge, overproduced, commercial sound to it....which I loved. I know X was very commercial sounding but that was definitely more of a poppy commercial sound. Anyways, really good album. Has a bit of everything with some fun rockers, excellent ballads, an awesome mid-tempo song and an epic feeling song that Leppard does so well. And all of it has the harmonies and backing vocals cranked to the max. What else would I listen to today other than Adrenalize? Trying to put myself into the same mindset I had this time 30 years ago. To be honest it’s a much easier to listen to now than it was with all the expectation following Hysteria.

AC/DC Dirty Deeds album. It just doesn't get old. And now listening to Adrenalize as a follow up.

Funny you post this cause I spent the whole day listening to their stuff. Went through all of their studio albums and part of the live album.

I really struggle with the makeup, costumes and presentation with these guys. It's all just a bit too theatrical for me. I've just never cared much for anything that's used a similar approach with acts like Kiss, Alice Cooper, Lizzy Borden, etc. I guess I just like bands to be about the music. I'm seeing lots of hype on this band though so I'm sure I'm in the minority.

ghosts cover of eurythmics missionary man is brilliant. square hammer and circe brilliant. lotta other stuff bit samey for me. seen them open 5 times for maiden and metallica, first time good, by fifth i was arriving end of their set. that said their success should be lauded, one of the few newish bands, alongside greta van fleet, to make any impact.

I listened to several of his solo albums….its all very The Cars esque…Naturally. But i gotta say i like his solo work. The song something to grab for was a suprise. Great song with an incredibly cool guitar solo.

I really love the new Ghost album. Probably even beats out Meliora as my favourite? Damn close anyway.
Apart from that, really loving this:

Thank you Sir I still love this too. Not everyone's cup of tea, but NIRATIAS is easily one of my favourite albums from last year (top 2 at least). I had not listened to Chevelle before. Vocally like Tool, but they have good melodies too. For some reason, the whole album gives me a vibe a book from Asimov's Foundation series.

The Warning
Check this group from Monterrey, Mexico, they opened 3 dates for Def Leppard back in 2017 on their mexican dates...
They are 20, 18 and 15 years of age, and they started back in 2013....
Currently scheduled to play Rockville festival, Aftershock fest, opening Halestorm's summer tour, Three Days Grace's fall tour, amongst many others...
Bright future ahead for them IMO!

New Crashdiet album Automaton is getting a lot of play for me and really digging it. I've only been a very casual follower of this band liking maybe only a handful of tunes of theirs over the years. They've never really grabbed me much for whatever reason. I wasn't even going to bother checking out this new album but glad I did.
For me this new one is their best album to date. There's some excellent riffs, catchy choruses and just a huge sound. I get some Skid Row and GNR vibes listening to this album.
Recommended for those here that like modern melodic hard rock like Eclipse, Kissin' Dynamite, Crazy Lixx, etc.

Def Leppard DSH singles, ELO, Motely Crue, Metallica, ABBA and various 45 rpm singles from the 1950s I've inherited. The singles are cool especially knowing some likely haven't been played in 50+ years.

This new song by One Desire is the first thing that's torn me away from DSH. Great song, great band, and this got me excited about a new album however I guess it's unfortunately just a standalone song for now. I've found these guys to be one of the best modern day melodic rock bands around - their first 2 albums were both excellent.

Their debut song HURT is probably one of the best songs I've heard in the past decade +. DO YOU BELIEVE from their first album along with SHADOWMAN, AFTER YOU'RE GONE and HEROES from the second album are also standouts for me. GODSENT EXSTASY is also incredibly Leppard influenced. Enjoy!
