I'd certainly welcome a "true" headline tour of fairs, casinos, smaller arenas, etc. I've had enough of the stadium thing even though it has been fun to see them in that setting and they've done some nice sets IMO. The costs have been nuts and the views aren't very good. Would be even better if they have a new album to featuring damn, state fairs? Take it to the people a bit more instead of the big impersonal stadium shows. Doing that again would have been a difficult sell I think.

First: Lep playing my hometown is really cool and exciting. They've played here before (1981, 1988, 1999, 2000) but I never, ever expected them to be back after their 'resurgence.' But the grandstand was a big success in 2024 so I'm not surprised to see the fair being willing to spend big bucks to secure big acts for 2025. Second: it has quickly become ironically apparent that a hometown show for me is complicated as hell. Because I'm known as a Lep fanatic to so many people, I have been getting messages ALL DAY LONG about this show. So, so many people that I know will be going. Finding a babysitter for a show in the very city where I live is going to be complicated since my parents and sister want to go. My wife's dad and uncle want to go. And they've ALL reached out to me about helping them get tickets, either as a group with me or separately. This venue has a general admission track, and I've avoided GA at every concert I've seen since... Probably the last time I saw Lep at this very venue in 2000. Call me an old soul, but I want a seat (in other words, reserved spot) when I can have one. Having said that, I really can't see myself buying tickets in the grandstand here and risking having to sit. I can't SIT through a Lep show! It's physically impossible. But unlike 2000 when I was 13 going on 14, I don't have all day to wait at the venue in the August heat at the fairgrounds to secure a good spot. And I certainly can't bring 137 people asking me for tickets or help with tickets with me for that. Nor can I get that many reserved seats! rsebastyan , I need help getting tickets on the side of the stage so I can be away from the hundreds of people that I will know out in the crowd, trying to use me to get tickets/seats.

Seen some scepticism online about this show, the fact they're playing a state fair when this was seen as a down period in their history in the late 90's / early 2000's. They seem to forget they were playing these at their peak too. But I still think its a good idea to mix it up a bit. They couldn't go and do stadiums again. I also think they should go out as bona fide headliners this year too, not with another band in tow.

Springfield to Chicago is 200 miles. Leppard could do short run of secondary markets like Memphis, Tucson, Lubbock and Sacramento where there is big demand as not played that market in long time.

I'm still not convinced that this isn't just an "open slot filler" show. Same with San Juan. Leppard typically doesn't do a tour without at least one or two opening acts. There are none for the two known shows just like the handful of shows DL did solo during this year's tour with Journey +1. I'm just doubtful that DL will do a full tour of fairs, arenas, sheds after three consecutive years of stadiums.
