"This week we welcome Joe Elliott back to the podcast. Joe is in town to talk about the reissue of Pyromania and it doesn’t take long before Guy, Gary, and Joe are discussing their favourite artists and their favourite gigs. Joe is the perfect guest for this podcast because he’s such a music fan as much as being a global rock and roll star."

This is like being invisible and listening to a conversation between friends. So much fun! Only noticed two new bits of info: After Joe found No You Can’t Do That on cassette, Universal located the masters in its archives and they were used for the new release. The 2024 tour with Journey is not alternating closer. Def Leppard will close every show. "This week we welcome Joe Elliott back to the podcast. Wouldn't surprise me if they did Download next year, this years line up is very light on classic rock acts. However seeing them at a festival isn't the same as a proper tour.
TBH I'm not actually shocked that they aren't touring in the UK this year given that they did a few stadium shows last year, because I think to them those shows will probably count as a UK tour.
But the clock is ticking, we won't get many more chances to see them in the UK if they leave 3, 4 or 5 year gaps between tours like they have been doing.

I concur - For sure we will have a full UK tour (let's hope) in 2027 for the 50th year Anniversary celebrations. We will have to attend as many gigs as possible! Let's club together and rent our own tour bus and follow the whole tour! LOL

One thing I learnt listening to this is that I rate Action Not Words much more highly than Joe, haha :-) I'm really fond of that song, and may start a campaign. #prayforactionnotwords

I think musically it’s great! Especially the solo section. I think the chorus and title is the weakest part of the song. Agree! Man, Joe buried that song! I dig that tune....Fun, catchy song. Honestly, for me I like that song better than anything on Sparkle Lounge for example. I feel like there's so much strong stuff on Pyromania that it makes that song seem weaker when it's amongst so many gems. Yeah, that was great.
Joe (and the rest of the Leps TBH) seems like the type of guy(s) you could easily sit down for a drink and end up chatting the night away.
