Among the presales.... Purchased tickets for the two most important shows (STL/NYC). Think I'll wait and see what happens/drops for Chicago.
Again I have to voice my disdain for how insanely complicated ticket buying has become. All three venues I've looked at had different set ups for buying tickets, there's 50 different links to click into for tickets, separate codes for each. It's just insane.
STL is the only venue that appears to be GA in the pit areas for my shows. Chicago/NYC are both reserved in the pits. Those differences and the catwalk shape itself make this whole thing even more complicated.
But whatever. Opening night tickets and show #70 tickets are secured. Since STL is GA in the pit areas, I got row 4 'by' the left catwalk on Viv's side. For NYC, I got row 12 by the center catwalk in the pit on Phil's side.

I grabbed two Def Leppard premium tickets for the Orlando show. The seats are ok, off to the left side a bit, but the price was more reasonable.
All of the really good pit seats are part of the top two meet and greet tiers. That's a bit too pricey for me. Sorry, but I am not spending over 3000 dollars for a couple of seats.
Things have really changed. I remember going to see Leppard in 88 at the Lakeland Civic center in Florida. We worked our way fairly close to the stage and it only cost 30 bucks a ticket or so.

 Well it’s a TRUE PIT according from original ticket site for opening night. Doesn’t matter if your ticket has a row and seat number. Above it states not reserved seating areas. |

Is it just me of the prices for this tour are ridiculous and expensive? For 4 tickets is the lower section first base seats, each ticket are $205 each with fees, taxes and all the BS for a total of $826! That is for Detroit !

They are absolutely ridiculous. I wasn't that enamored with the lineup to begin with being I just saw Leppard with Journey back in 2018 but still was thinking about attending. I've been watching tickets all morning for the Toronto show and might've bought something if I felt it was reasonable. The best "reasonably priced" seats I was able to find were around row 25, off to the side for about $300 a ticket with the fees. That would be about $600 for two tickets, and another $200-$300 for the hotel room plus a 3 1/2 drive....to sit in okay but not great seats to see a band I've seen 20+ times live. I just couldn't pull the trigger. There were better seats but of course they just get more expense than that depending on where they were. And there were cheaper seats but part of my problem is that I'm not willing to go see Def Leppard and sit in the cheap seats just to say I was there. I'm either sitting in good seats or I'm not going. I'm not sure if it's just this venue as I didn't check others, but to my recollection, these are the highest prices I can recall seeing for a tour. Maybe it's just ticketmaster's dynamic model or something. I suppose I've been spoiled over the years having seen Leppard so many times for such great prices and usually had great seats. Heck, even my Meet N Greet I did back in 2013 was only like $350. So glad I did that when I did! I've really come to the conclusion that I think the only way I'm going to be happy is if I'm seeing Leppard either in Vegas (or some other Residency) or on a tour as the pure headliner by themselves. I'd happily pay these prices (or higher) for either of those things. Is it just me of the prices for this tour are ridiculous and expensive? The prices are high. I am paying more money for seats that are not nearly as good my seats in 2018. Also, factoring in a hotel and all, its still a bit of an expensive show for me and my wife. But, we love the band and I am still excited to see them again.

Also the sound at the Rogers Centre is horrible. Twice at that venue (DL and Journey, DL and Motely) was enough for me especially with the costs now. They are absolutely ridiculous. I think I've read about other people complaining about the sound there for concerts also and saying it's a poor place to see a show and expensive area to stay. I kind of fluffed it off and figured it couldn't be that bad.... Another reason to stick to my guns and just avoid it  Also the sound at the Rogers Centre is horrible. My husband and I both have codes for tickets and neither are working. Saw a post from the fan club on social media that passwords were incorrect and they were saying use upper case instead of lower case letters. |

Honestly I don't understand why anyone would pay $1650 for a M&G where you can't shake their hands and have to stand a few feet in front of them for the photo. |

Blimey, unbelievably expensive ticket prices they are and surely there is no real need to charge fans this much, last week I purchased 2 standing tickets to see Bryan Adam’s next year in the UK, £45 per ticket. No pit or golden circle nonsense, I appreciate bands are mostly earning their money through tickets these days but they don’t need to command prices like that from fans.

This is why I am skipping presale. I bought 4 Tix to Tulsa LY at just under $900. 2 days before Tix were $100 cheaper and fees also alit cheaper. Could not resell for anything close to Tix available so had to sell for $50 each.

Ive noticed recently that 2 or 3 bands have announced 1 off UK shows at Wembley Arena (2 of the acts are Scorpions and ZZ Top). A friend of mine is dying to see The Scorpions as they rarely visit these shores, so he went online to buy tickets and it was all seating on the floor and they were charging over £150 per ticket. So I think they could be trying to implement the disgusting US model of seats on the floor / high ticket prices here, but I don't think UK audiences will have it. |

There's an investigation by the State of Connecticut (USA) regarding Live Nation and Ticketmaster prices and fees. Not that they are stopping here, but the charges are out of control with this promoter. Gotta wonder how much the band is getting for each show.

The show I was looking at....tickets were $265 and the fees on that ticket were $75...which made 1 ticket $340. So the fees are slightly more than 1/3 of the ticket cost. If I buy two tickets, I'd be paying $150 in ticketmaster fees. That's just silly to me and a big reason I've passed on buying tickets. I'm just not paying that much to see two bands I don't want to see. I still have my stub from my first Leppard show in 1987 that was $15. So now Ticketmaster's fees alone are 5 times what I was paying to attend a show back then! Live Nation and Ticketmaster can do whatever they want to make money and turn profit. They’ll abuse that power for their own benefit and selfish needs to make their money. They don’t care about anything or anyone. I don’t know how they can get away with it and still be in business. |

Funny how no one says the bands are selfish as I would be my life def lep and other are making millions touring. They have every right to make as much money as they want. The market ie fans determines how much they can make.
Their last summer tour had lots of empty seats and tickets were significantly reduced a few days before show. I bet my life many shows next year will be the same. If not, good job as you priced it right and you made millions.

In my opinion, what really irritates me is that I don't feel like ticketmaster is providing any service to me as a fan or consumer. So why should I have to pay fees? My feeling is that ticketmaster is providing a service to the bands by delivering and distribution tickets to their shows and promoting it. The bands are the ones that should be paying ticketmaster if you ask me. Now if bands need to raise their costs to cover that, then so be it I guess. But don't go tacking $150 in phantom fees on my tickets when you've done nothing but act as a middleman between the ultimate seller and consumer. Ebay is basically doing the same thing as a middleman but you don't pay fees when you buy something....sellers pay fees to use the Ebay service. Should be the same idea with ticketmaster selling tickets. Hopefully someday bands figure out a way to cut ticketmaster out of the process and either sell their tickets to fans directly or some other cheaper, efficient way. Most bands probably don't care though as long as they keep getting paid and people are in seats so doubt it changes anytime soon. They get away with it as they have every right to charge fees. Parking lots can still charge what they want. But in my opinion, convenience fees are totally made up. Almost like they charging you to use your phone as the ticket. It’s convenient, but I’d rather be inconvenienced by having to print out the ticket rather than be charged. |

Ticket prices seem crazy for any band playing stadiums or arenas. I was looking at Slipknot tickets for Leeds in the UK the cheapest tickets I can fine are £106 for rubbish seats most prices are £250+!! crazy money something really needs to change.
