I don't know about anyone else but I'm hoping for a 7" poster bag, a 12" picture disc, a cd digipack and a cassingle of the new song when its released  if that is album cover really like it, works well as t shirt. Or as a tattoo. |

That's quite a cover! First thing I noticed also was the High N Dry reference and Pyro crosshairs. Wonder why those are included? Makes me wonder if they're suggesting a bit of a throwback rock approach here or something. Rumoured Album Cover. No Source Available. Just found it on twitter.  I like it, I think. The High 'n' Dry diver is nice to see. As is the return of the crosshairs after a long absence. I wonder what the other album-art-looking image from earlier this week is for, then. Maybe the single? I was kinda hoping they'd go with the blue and black logo like they've been using on social media for the 45th anniversary, but the classic red and yellow does pop nicely on a black and white background. |

I've convinced myself that the three word title means it's a triple album with each side a different feel like Tom Waits' Brawlers, Brawler and Bastards album. I think the excitement is getting to me and impacting on rational thought!!

I thought that too but I really don't think so. I mean, that album cover art is pretty extravagant and no way 7 years since the last new music and 2 years off during a pandemic results in a covers album. At least I really hope not! I'm feeling like the references are suggesting they're going back to their roots a bit though and they may think they have a more classic sounding rock album here. I mean, the title suggests a throwback to their inspirations. And then we've got images of the High N' Dry diver and Pyro crosshairs on the artwork. Why bring those images in? They're pretty iconic images from a specific period of the band so they have to be aware of the message those images might convey. I guess we'll find out soon if it all means anything or if it's just wishful thinking and "new album fever"  . I fully expect an original album, this was just light humour, I had however seen similar thoughts dotted about on Twitter, a user asked Mitch Lafon if it was a T Rex tribute album, to which he simply replied ‘Bang a gong’. |

I really like this new cover (if that indeed is the new cover), and even if I don't care for astrology, I like the whole concept around the album release. It feels "expensive" and well thought out, much more so than just a "regular" Lep release.
Musically, I hope the music reflects the slightly mysterious, etheric concept seen in the album cover and tarot cards. Something alongside Desert Song and Fractured Song which shows a heavier and darker side of the band.

Absolutely thrilled though to be talking about new Def Leppard, it feels like forever ago since the self titled dropped, news of which broke in March 2015 if I remember right ahead of an October 2015 release, I do hope we don’t have to wait that long for the full release. So I last logged on here like a week ago to post about some little blurb I heard Alan Hunter say on Sirius XM about a new Def Leppard album coming out in May, and now I log back in a week later and I see we have album artwork, and new single coming out and a website with a countdown clock! This is amazing.
