Joe will be on Planet Rock radio today, sometime before 12 with Wyatt. He will be discussing the new Down n Outz album that’s due later this week and they will be playing tracks from it too.

Heres a quick summary of what was discussed:
New DnO album recorded over the last 5 years.
Recorded piece meal with the tracks coming in to Joe and Ronan to work on.
No immediate plans for a DnO tour as everyone can’t get their schedules to align. They could potentially play festivals if they can get the time.
DnO album is more important than a DnO tour at the moment.
Talked a bit about Sheffield United.
Spoke about the upcoming exit 111 show in a few days time.
Said the Leps are writing but are in no rush to release anything.
Said they have a tonne of re-releases coming out soon, including an early years release with a show from Oxford 1980 at the new theatre as a bonus disc.
Mentioned the DVD/blu ray coming out for the o2 London show from December last year.
Said they are actively mixing the Vegas audio now.
Said Phil and Sav have both sent him Leppard demos to work on and he has a couple of ideas on the go.
He was asked if its true that the band don't like the early material. Joe replied its not that they don't like it, its because they moved on with HnD and Pyromania, he used the rocket analogy again as jettisoning the early part of the ship. But he did say in recent years they've performed old material in Vegas and on last years Hysteria tour.
Mentioned the Oxford 1980 audio again, saying wait till you hear it because for their age Sav and Rick are a great rhythm section and Pete and Steve were a great guitar pairing.

So we have the London Hysteria 2018 show and Vegas 2019 coming out on DVD/Bluray... And they filmed the Royal Albert Hall show too, though I don't anticipate seeing that one for awhile. Would be nice if they would get that one out too so I could shelve my Detroit DVD/CD set forever. I rarely revisit it now but the Royal Albert Hall show would replace it permanently.
Add the Oxford 1980 show to the mix and we seemingly have plenty of live releases to look forward to in the near-ish future.

Agree on Detroit....Never watch that. I just don't want to watch cut Live DVD's much anymore. They just feel like music videos to me or something. I want to see them put out the entire show, banter and all. That's what makes a live concert a live concert. If I just want to listen to songs I'll play the CD's. This is usually something that irritates me on Live CD's too....Bands often edit out the banter. That just destroys the live feeling to me. Would also be nice to see a bunch of behind the scenes footage added to the DVD like Ryan has been doing. It would be cool to almost have a live DVD from the perspective of the band rather than the perspective of somebody just watching in the audience. By that I mean showing travel footage, stage setup/soundcheck footage and other pre concert type stuff. Then show a bunch of footage during the show from different band members perspectives on stage while of course mixing on some "normal" audience perspective views also for the full effect. Then show post concert stuff and end with them boarding the bus to the next gig. Now that would be a Live DVD I'd want to see that would be much different than the Detroit DVD they did.
