This is one of the best interviews I've heard with Joe in years. If you don't have time to listen to all two hours, check out right around 56:00. Some very exciting breaking news there ...

It was a FANTASTIC interview. I could easily listen to Joe talk life and music for hours. He’s extremely interesting, articulate, and has a fabulous sense of humor about both himself and the business.

This was an INCREDIBLE interview and a small mention of a new release in 20!
And likewise, love listening to Joe and hearing some great stuff about the early days and his favorite music from his childhood. A must hear.

Thanks for sharing this, because it is always a treat to hear Joe's opinions about the band then and now. He is honest and forthright and a totally humble guy. Love when he makes fun of his is "fashion sense" from back then! I will say this, nobody made a mullet look as attractive as Joe did!

Great interview that I finally got around to listening to. I think maybe Phil should be put in charge of the setlist after it was him suggesting to open with DHTH I still don't agree with the reasoning as to why they change things around so much in Vegas but don't on regular tours. I think they forget they've been around for a long time and there are many people in the crowd every night that have seen them at least once before....and often many times before. I just don't think they just need to treat every gig like everybody is seeing them for the first time. Obviously there are songs they are always going to play. But it's not hard to have a few spots in the set to rotate some songs through. Pretty cool to hear they've hit 2 billion streams....Although, what's that amount to in earnings...like $100 or something lol. Just kidding....I'm sure it's more than that but know artists are making pennies off these things. Excellent interview though...Thanks for posting!

Maybe after they’ve had some time off to “digest” everything concerning the residency they’ll see that mixing things up is doable in the big picture. They were obviously able to switch it up without forsaking any of the “Big Guns”, and the acoustic set could easily be switched up as well. Pop out one here and there, toss in another. Of course there’s always a chance that they wouldn’t even consider mixing things up when they’re only playing 90 minute sets because some other group is sucking up stage time. Which only means they need to stop doing shows with other people sucking up their stage time. 😊

They should include one song off every album each show and each tour from now on should include at least 1 song not previously played in concert or at least very rarely. Hysteria songs limited to 6.
Seems a reasonable compromise to those who are there for the hits and to the hardcores.

Didn’t he mention it first of all at the launch of the digital catalogue?

The full 1 hour and 22 minute video is now available to view on the SiriusXM website if you have a subscription. If not, I'm hoping it will pop up on YouTube. I'm watching for it.
