Always down to earth and ready to share not only his personal journey through music but deep into the soul of one of music's biggest and most successful bands. Def Leppard is returning to Vegas. Their first residency since being inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. How has the band changed and what's new on the horizon. A few years ago they did a huge video release with Fathom Events which played in movie theaters globally. Will there be anything like it again? What's this about acoustic? Is something completely one of a kind in the nearby future with Leppard? We even talk about the kids! How they're starting to show incredible interest in music and how each one has a vision and ear of their own and he's right there to help guide the way. The Def Leppard Sin City Residency is August 12-September 7th. Listen HereThe audio on this isn't always great so some of the words in this transcription may not be 100% accurate, though I'm certain I've captured the intent and meaning. Phil: "We've been rehearsing a bunch of songs we haven't played in years, that we're actually gonna do there. It should be a blast. Different versions of them. Different ways. Obviously it's gonna be the hits. It's "hits Vegas". On different nights we're gonna showcase different things, like tracks off our other albums, deeper cuts. Things like that. It's pretty exciting." Phil: "We're having production meetings. We're gonna make it look different. Just a lot of things." Arroe: Are we gonna hear a bit of the unplugged action like we heard on Howard Stern? Phil: "I think so. Absolutely. We're actually working on that as well.... We don't wanna just do 'campfire versions'. We wanna actually make an arrangement and make it have real production. So there'll probably be some really cool stuff there too."
