Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 2019 red carpet won’t be open to public By Troy L. Smith, Cleveland.comCLEVELAND, Ohio – For the first time, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will host and stream a red carpet event live from New York. But it might not be what fans attending the ceremony at Barclays Center on March 29 expect. Carrie Keagan will return as host, as the festivities will stream live on the Rock Hall’s website and social media channels. However, the red carpet will NOT be open to the public. Representatives for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation in New York confirmed the red carpet will take place inside the Barclays center with minimal, if any, fan involvement. That’s in contrast to the red carpet event that takes place outside of Cleveland’s Public Hall every other year with hundreds of fans screaming from Mall B.This year’s Inductees include Janet Jackson, The Zombies, Def Leppard, Radiohead, The Cure, Roxy Music and Stevie Nicks. The ceremony is sold out (Though, VIP Packages are still available). Fans can also still purchase tickets to the museum’s simulcast. Source
