Evidently there is a new Joe Elliott interview, but so far I can't find it. First it was Joe's supposed comments about the Aldi cheese yesterday, now this. Who Will Bring Def Leppard Into The Rock & Roll HOF?Joe Elliott knows who will induct Def Leppard into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month. He's just not saying...yet. In a recent interview Elliott said, "I'm very pleased with that decision but I'm not at liberty to say who because there are still minute possibilities that said person can't do it. But, it's likely that they will and the second that we know it's absolutely locked in, we'll make sure that everybody knows." Def Leppard -- Joe in particular -- is very close to Queen 's Brian May , as well as Ian Hunter . Given the fact that Queen is in the Rock Hall and the Bohemian Rhapsody movie is all the rage, May sounds like a good choice. But then there are the Taylor Swift s and Tim McGraw s of the world who are big fans and have worked with them. This year's ceremony is March 29th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Joining Def Leppard in the Class of 2019 are The Zombies , Roxy Music , Stevie Nicks , Janet Jackson , The Cure and Radiohead . Source

Really hoping it will be Brian May. Not only is he a brilliant choice to bring them in, but the jam session would be epic!

I’m still big on the idea of Jon Bon Jovi. Joe and Jon are known buddies and it explains the random photo Def Leppard posted a few days ago of Joe and Jon from back in the day.

More important for me is that they bring pete Willis to play one of the older songs with them. That’ll be the coolest thing ever

I think this raises a lot of questions... 1. Has Pete kept his chops up the last 37 Years? 2. Does Pete even want to play with the band or even attend the Induction? 3. Does the band want to Jam with anyone at the Induction. I mean this is a band who doesn't really Jam with anyone. A small handful of people have jammed with them over the years. Obviously it will be great seeing the band get inducted but the it's important that Pete and Steve be acknowledged as well.

That's what I am thinking, as I saw that photo on twitter the other day with no explanation. That seemed like the band could have been tossing it out it as a clue. I remember he said in some article how JBJ had told him that being inducted into the RHOF was a pretty big deal, and he would find out just how big a deal it was when D/L got inducted.

Think it's got to be Brian May? I can't wait to see if all of the inductees do the traditional jam at the end? Oddly the Cure has also covered Don't Believe a Word so maybe that or another Thin Lizzy cover??

Since the HOF chooses who inducts each artist and will be paying the bill for whoever inducts Def Leppard, it seems likely that Jon BonJovi (or some other US resident) will be the choice. It will cost less to pay Jon's travel expenses than to pay Brian Mays'.

I really hope it's Brian..
If Bon Jovi..then rumors will start of a tour of the two bands starts in 19..lol..ugh!!!!!!
Seeing how long BM and lep have been close for so long, I see this as an obvious choice but then again.

It will cost less to pay Jon's travel expenses than to pay Brian Mays'. I dont know if this is necessarily true. Bon Jovi picked/asked Howard stern to induct them. I do not believe the hall picks that part but they do pick which songs they play. Plus Leppard has to pay 10k per seat. Could be more now but that's what Steve Miller said it cost him.

The guy who is the head of the selection committee was on SiriusXM the morning Leppard was announced as one of the 2019 inductees. Joe was being interviewed and one of the radio hosts asked him about who he would like to induct them. The head guy said that the HOF chooses who inducts each artist. It was also said that each band member will be given a ticket for himself and one guest but any additional tickets must be purchased. No mention of the price, but I think it has still been 10K per seat recently.

Sounds like Brian May it is.... Good ol' Vivian. Really happy to hear it's Brian, there's no one more perfect for it IMO. And I'm equally happy that it isn't JBJ.

I hope it's Brian May,if not ,then Robert "Mutt" Lange would be my second choice. Do they even talk to Mutt Lange anymore? But I agree.. If not Brian then Mutt would be my second choice. But.. as is.. Brian gets to do the induction of the band. Yayyyy.

Definitely should be Brian May, one of their heros and influences, that would be great for the band.
Not someone like Jon Bon Jovi, I know hes a friend of the band, but he actually owes his career to the success of Def Leppard IMO, so its better to have an influence there to do it.

And it ought be Brian May, anyone else would be almost criminal. And we know Mutt would never venture out in public to do it. Other than those two, who else really makes any more sense?

I hope it's Brian still.
And BTW..was not aware the artists needs to pay $10k per person ..extra...no wonder the HOF is getting a bad rap..blech..

I'm glad it's Brian May. Jimmy Page or Robert Plant would have been awesome also but Brian May makes more sense I think
