"It came from when I stopped boozing,’ chirps a typically easy-going Phil Collen, taking a breather from Def Leppard’s pre-summer rehearsals. ‘And the reason I stopped boozing was that I would do really stupid things like driving drunk, spending a fortune – and I wouldn’t remember it! I’d wake up and not be able to remember a thing. And it was getting [like that] more and more…I also hated the idea that I was driving and not being able to remember it. I couldn’t do the social drinking thing, so I said I’d just stop.’"
