Phil discusses working with Tesla, Delta Deep, the latest Def Leppard album, and the upcoming Def Leppard Live DVD.Date: August 26th 2016 Location: Harrisonville Missouri Band Member: Phil Collen Interviewer: Slacker Length: 6:46 Format: Audio. Listen hereInterview Summary:1. Producing the new Tesla album. Doing a lot of it on tour, which makes it easy. Album sounds phenomenal. SAVE THAT GOODNESS recorded last year but just released. It's doing fantastic. 2. Delta Deep started as a bluesy project. Phil, Helen, Debbi write songs together. How the band came to be. Band sounds more ferocious than Phil expected. Sounds more like Rage Against the Machine or soul music. Live album will be released this Fall. Will do DD shows as time/schedules allow. 3. Latest Def Leppard album. Called DEF LEPPARD because it totally represents the band. Twelve solid ideas within a week of starting to record. Eventually 14 songs. Did it for the love of music. 4. The DVD. "What was really cool. I mean we actually just recorded one of the shows just a few weeks ago. We was live in Detroit, and we're putting a DVD out, and you know I don't usually get a chance to see the show. You know unless I'm like turning around and catching a little look here and there. But we had to approve all the images and the sound and everything, the mix and it looked amazing. The show's amazing. So that's another thing that we'll have coming out. I'm not sure of the exact date of that at the moment. But Def Leppard Live In Detroit should be a DVD coming out at some point, and it looks spectacular."
