Thanks for the heads up, listening now. Really digging it as a whole - at first listen more so than I did the first album. The album cover caught me off guard - not at all what I would expect from a DNO album: Attachment DeletedWhich one is Joe? LOL

I can only hope the next Lep album includes a 9 minute epic.

Sea Diver is a beautiful song. Can't wait to hear what Joe does with it...the sample sounds very promising!
And of course, can't wait to hear the full version of Marionette! :-)

I can only hope the next Lep album includes a 9 minute epic. Hell I'll just be happy with a few songs that surpass the 5 minute mark. I do think we have a good possibility of that though if the description from Joe and the length of the MB songs are any indication. At the very least I would imagine it'll be longer than the 38 minute SFTSL.

I checked Amazon.ca and HMV.ca. Both sites list the new album for May 13th release in Canada. iTunes Canada is still April 22nd. I wonder why the delay here for the physical copy?

Down N Outz FB Update"Look what arrived at #JoeElliott's house today! Pick up your copy on Tuesday 22 April." Photo Credit to DNO FB Source So the obvious question is..... Why was an entire box of CDs delivered to Joe's house? I assume "the media" can download tracks from a special "press only" page on the Mailboat Records website (as was true for the Slang Deluxe Edition). I'm sure some of the CDs will go to friends. Will he be signing and selling the remainder?

iTunes version has 2 tracks not on the physical CD. What is this iTunes you speak of? Can i drop my needle, that was forged in the turntable mountain of vinyl heaven on such new fangled means of reproducing music played by hairy men in denim and leather?

Does anyone know if the new album will be on Spotify? The first one is not; however, the last two Lep releases are. Just wondering if I will get to listen to it tomorrow or have to wait until Friday when my CD arrives from Amazon (preordered in March but they won't send until tomorrow - official release day).

This album is fantastic. Joe sounds fanfuckingtastic on it. The Journey blew me away. As much as I wish they was new Lep, this will hold me over until 2015.

Listened to it for the first time last night and really struggled to get through the whole thing. It just failed to click with me for some reason I can't quite put my finger on yet, but I was quite bored with it as a whole. Which is disappointing, because I liked the first album. To me, this one severely lacks standout tracks like My ReGeneration had. Maybe it'll improve with further listens, but at this point I have no desire to listen to this again.

the only problem I have with it is that I feel like Violence, Crash Street Kidds, and Whizz Kid all sound somewhat similar in structure. Just how the guitars sound. This album gives me a much more 70's queen vibe than My Regeneration did.

I haven't listened to the whole thing yet (I gotta go buy it, yes, I know, as soon as I get time), but what I heard on Joe's show wasn't bad at all. I really liked Joe's voice on one of the songs... Marionette I think it was.

VIDEO: JOE ELLIOTT ON LIFE IN THE DOWN 'N' OUTZ"Joe came into the Team Rock Studio and gave us the inside track on delving ever-deeper into the Mott back catalogue, why he wants to give the songs a "lick of paint", and the band's plans for touring (hint: it's not this week)." Video recorded on 11 April while Joe was in London. Source
