Barcelona review and photos www.themetalcircus.com/concierto.php?id=1313Translation: DEF LEPPARD 9/10 With pre-English punctuality sound technicians Def Leppard sounded by the PA on "Will not Get Fooled Again" by the legendary WHO. On its own merits, is one of those subjects that many bands use, including KISS, to start their shows. In the case of leopards, the use was halfway. When the time came the chilling cry of Roger Daltrey, the band took positions in a blink of eyes while Joe Elliot took the reins vocal of the song and the rest of the British followed. Funny way of starting a spectacular concert and when putting the public on. It was less spectacular than what was sounded after "Let's Get Rocked" the "Adrenalize". Many will remember the invasive video rotation program for years as "the 40 to 1" in Canal Plus, when Def Leppard were still a band with something to contribute very record. The situation now is different: they are a classic band, Legacy, back-catalog. Play their cards and Barcelona dealt to a concert based only on hits. One after another. In a time when most bands go through the scene unnoticed, DEF LEPPARD assembly is brought scenic, including giant screen, to offer a show worthy. Throughout the concert, various accompaniments graphics were used to liven up the songs and between that and the huge sound they had, we could say that technically was one of the most elaborate of the shows we've seen lately as far as hard rock concerned. In San Sebastian offered his show Def Leppard "Hysteria", where they interpret the legendary 1987 album in full along with some additional hits, but had to see that the public response was not as positive as expected. That is why they chose Barcelona mix songs without committing to a particular disk, though of course the legendary song rang many work which sold 10 million copies in the United States. After the aforementioned "Let's Get Rocked", the band opted for the classic "Action" by THE SWEET and an unexpected "Mirror, Mirror (Look Into My Eyes)". From there, clasicazos festival was impressive: "Women", "Foolin '", "Promises", "Rocket", the great "Love Bites" the thug "Wasted" and the emotional "Gods of War", where Steve Clarke was the protagonist from the video screens. "The goose skin" one attendee said to me, is that the time was a great detail. The eternal "Bringin 'on the Heartbreak" magic filled the Poble Espanyol in Ecuador's concert, before they got guitar duels Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell and a short drum solo by Rick Allen that put us all in standing ovation. Thus by one as the other. As you all know, Vivian is receiving chemotherapy for cancer and has chosen not to miss the tour and continue your treatment without losing a show of the band. Something deteriorated but totally into his role, Campbell was the other hero of the show with Allen machine. The final leg of the concert came choruses dominated recent history unbeatable rock. After a vessel "Switch 625" came the inevitable "Hysteria", followed by "Animal", "Armageddon It" and "Pour Some Sugar on Me". They could have gone at this point and we would have been floating in syrup a week, but two were left on the shelf and it could not be: in the encore fell "Rock of Ages" and "Photograph", with which closed after hour, three quarters perfectly timed. After several years in which it was said that Joe Elliot was not below standards, it now appears that his voice has improved many points. Between that, the chorus of Rick Savage (ages this guy?), Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, the vocal aspect of DEF LEPPARD is very well maintained. No doubt that was pre-recorded voices often during the show, which also happened to WHITESNAKE. The issue is that the sound and hi-tech synthetic DEF LEPPARD paste with it and no one is outraged. For WHITESNAKE was harder to take, but if that's what it takes to make our favorite artists continue turning frequently and dignity, then so be it the semi-deception. The 5500 people attending did not seem too unhappy. After all, just witnessed THE year's tour.----------------------------------- This person thinks DL used pre-recorded vocals during the concert!

One for not understanding the technology and 2 for not understanding what is live and what he thinks is pre-recorded. It just proves he is not a fan and didn't do the proper research.

Well, guys, remember what Joe once said - I'm paraphrasing: "...they thought we were pre-recording the vocals! At first I was pissed off, but then I realized, it's a compliment! We sounded so good they thought we were cheating!"

I'va just got back to Italy.. It has been an amazing vacation and what to say about the concert.. WOW!!!! The venue was simply fantastic! It looked to be in a small Middle Age village, the crowd was so warm with all band but I will never forget the excitement when Joe said "Do You wanna get rocked?". I could see hundreds of Leps shirts from all eras, many even self made for these spanish show. I loved so much to see Viv smiles! I could have taken more photos of him while on the ramp but I was enjoying his genuine and pure enjoyment. The first time Viv arrived on the ramp with Phil (not sure when, maybe Switch625), Phil showed him a sign on the barriers on the right side (maybe it was the sign of the photo taken by Gianluca I saw somewhere..). Viv and Phil started their part on the ramp and when finished they both walked back to the stage: Viv stopped, walked back and looking a the person who hold the sign said a wonderful 'Thank you'. During the Armageddon joe presentation to Viv there was a huge chorus "Vivian, Vivian", I wasnt enough quick to start filming in time to catch it. Setlist was great... I really loved it and did love the thing I didnt know what was next.. I always had my camera ready to film :-). And setlist was new and it was so clear.. Joe 3/4 times had to look at the setlist paper and one time even said "ok, where are we now?" Joe voice was brilliant and at top form. I havent heard him singing so well since a while! I was in front row 2/3 people before barriers and the only idiots making mess were some stupid drunk foreigners: spanish are a great audience very friendly... Crazy but typical of Spain the late start of the show 10.45 pm, finishing at 0.30 am and eating at 2.00 am downtown just before uploading videos on youtube!!! Oh boy I was so tired at the start of the show but when I saw Leps logo on the screen.... It wasnt easy to film, take pictures, facebooking setlist and pic but I loved to do it and mostly share it with you. I am not sure I will be able to go to Helsingborg, unfortunately I had a viral infection and fever until yesterday (too much tapas, wine, sun etc...) and I am a bit weak at the moment and going Copenhagen and drive to Helsingborg and back in the night by myself dosnt sound a so great plan to me at the moment... Not considering that if not going Helsingborg could have its Hysteria album played fully :-)!!! Well, what to say, thank you all for following me during the show...

Thanks Luca for all the updates and a great review! Sorry to hear that you got sick. If you do travel to Helsingborg then we probarbly can say hi:) I am fine, I am fine... I am just a bit weak because of the medicine I am taking for the infection plus the medicine I have to live with. Last night Bon Jovi went 3 fn hrs long last night and it was such a pain (not meaning the show now, I mean to stand all that time..). I have the flight booked to Copenhagen on Tuesday for the Helsingborg show (and return the day after) but I will be alone and dont think it's gonna be a great idea to come... See you next time... because there will be a next time...

Review and photos www.metaltotal.com/conciertos/251.europe-%2B-whitesnale-%2B-def-leppard.htmlTranslation: With punctuality was pleasantly surprised, started playing for the PA enclosure, moments before had sounded Down n 'Outz (did anyone notice?) "Will not get fooled again" the known and television theme today The Who (much English but then all want to sound American-style, whether to Europe required the services of Kevin Elson to produce his hit "The Final Countdown") and gradually the band was taking positions on stage. Until at last, and now with the instruments in their hands attacked the final stanza of the topic. A surprise, yes, but that marred the start of "Let's get rocked". It was not as effective as that distant 1993 performance when the band not only had the disc that is extract the theme, if not wearing a set of lasers worth the time, though the old and dilapidated sports hall does not register the best Input the world. Luckily for all, the band was going through the roof Song after song. Everyone in the band fit perfectly. There are five fingers on one hand. Together they are invincible and "Action" was demonstrated. Joe surprised everyone with the quality of his voice much higher than his last visit in 1996 during the tour of "Slang" an album recorded in Spain by the way, although somewhat below "The tour" par excellence: "The Hysteria tour ". Unlike Vivian, cursed because of cancer, is Phil, that since the beginning of the concert appeared on stage topless, oily and muscled to the fullest. His wife Helen had appeared on the scene to capture the place with his camera before the show would start. "Women" fell soon. Too soon. For a moment I thought "Hyetsria" to complete fall in the blink of an eye, and that the concert would be a breeze, but luckily I was wrong. It last night, unlike in San Sebastian and Madrid did not interpret the explosive album in full, although it fell to eight subjects. Twelve, is not bad. A third of it. On the contrary, the group surprised all and sundry with the interpretation of "Mirror, mirror (look into my eyes)" from his second album, when there seemed to belong to the NWOBHM. A pleasure and a great nod to their old fans, those who were at the Palau Blaugrana 2 in 1983. Among "Hysteria" and "Pyromania" moved when dip into their catalog of themes further. There were raids gilts to "High n 'dry" and "On through the night", the interpretation of "Bringin' on the heartbreak" followed by "Switch 625" with Phil and Vivian in the foreground and "Wasted" were explosive without doubt, but know that those two albums are the foundation of your success. Although it could be the foundation first and second cover, as their next albums proved to be somewhat less successful. In short, as far as I go is to "Euphoria" 1999, which interpreted "Promises", but of course jump "Slang" in 1996 and surprisingly not interpret any theme of "Songs from the Sparkle Longue" a excellent album, or "Yeah!" versions that much lift your spirits. It appears that there were people who got bored with some of the most sensitive issues of "Hysteria". Even some of the new songs recorded for his latest work "Mirrorball: Live and more" would have been fine. But hey!, Do not complain, just ponder aloud. Interpreting eighteen tracks in total of which fifteen were singles, there is no possibility of error. And little by little, but surely, the concert was going up in quality. "Rocket" won them whole. His execution was perfect. It made me think if there was something pre-recorded. In addition, the LED screen background images that made passing stage the concert in a show (the same I felt with Megadeth's last show in Barcelona, I felt last night). Sure Moment came, first with "Gods of war", his pinpoint execution, and that beginning with the very Steve Clark playing the just the start of the topic, together with the set of lights, made my skin crawl put . The creeps for years that can not. And to top it came after a powerful and corrosive version of "Wasted", not just the older theme of the night, if not the most powerful of all. And Joe held out like a champ. Amazing. I can not wait to see those shows in Las Vegas once edited in dvd. And second for the interpretation of "Hysteria", the song, not only my favorite song of the album, if not all a reminder to the group's history, with images of them, Steve, of course, in their days of Donington. Emotional, effective and excellent. Of course in "Animal" my voice and left much to be desired. But I stuck to the final "Photograph", passing by "Pour some sugar on me", last track of the set, and "Rock of ages", first encore of the night. During the whole concert was broadcast screen images related to each of the songs, even during "Love bites" could read the lyrics of the song, at least its chorus. Effective again. Yes, Leppard reigned. They knew. They were the headliners. And I do not disappoint anyone. Touched or not "Hysteria" in full. Failing laid hands on his catalog of "greatest hits". Gamble pays off. Infallible. Sonasen perfect or not (that sounded, "Pour some sugar on me" is the perfect example of this). Seventeen years of waiting paid off. I hope it does not take much in return. It was not 88, not even 93, but def Leppard's 2013 sound to deafen and I'm glad we stayed there again. In his way, Europe, Whitesnake and Def Leppard continue to reign twenty five years after his biggest commercial successes and this tour of four dates in Spain demonstrated. Hope it's not just because of "being" or by the fact that there will be another chance to see their attendance at these events and that in the next visits of the bands in the future of this country the answer is the same . A high nine would be the best score and more real to Def Leppard concert. His concert was perfectly executed, while at times doubted that, for example, Rick touched your kit, or the choirs were live. But is that, coincidentally, giving it such a high note to acting.Def Leppard set list: Let's get rocked Action Women Mirror, mirror (look into my eyes) Foolin ' Promises Rocket Love bites Wasted Gods of war Bringin 'on the heartbreak Switch 625 Hysteria Animal Armageddon it Pour some sugar on me Encore: Rock of ages Photograph Line up Def Leppard: Joe Elliott: vocals Vivian Campbell: guitar and vocals Phil Collen: Guitar and vocals Rick Savage: bass and vocals Rick Allen: drums, vocals --------------------------------------- Orange text expressing doubt that Rick was playing the drums and that backing vocals/harmony were live.
