Download announces headliners and a total of 90 bands Tuesday 9pm UK time, 4am Bangkok time. Know whether it's Donington, likely arena tour or possibly Glastonbury! Would be good to have Leppard headline one of the nights and have Judas Priest as second on bill. Glastonbury is a total waste of time to proper fans. Its such a pretentious event, tickets are usually on sale and sold out before anyone is announced and people will buy tickets just to say they've been to Glastonbury. Its like people go who are casual fans of all sorts of music. |

Watched some Download rumour videos last night, few mentioned Lepps. Hopefully mean arena run for them.
No Barcelona announcement today.
Would like some dates announced before Christmas, get everything booked soonest!

I hope Leppard are not at Download next year I have heard rumours it is Sleep Token Green Day and Korn as headliners I could be wrong as normally! If so that could mean a Leppard UK tour November and December then Download 2026? Also understand Metallica are doing some UK arean shows next year.

Surprised by the Illinois State Fair announcement. In interviews Phil mentioned Euro festivals in 2025 and a Vegas residency with an orchestra, though he didn't say 2025 for the Vegas residency. Joe hinted at a possible Canadian tour, though he didn't say in 2025. No hint that there would be US shows in 2025 and now we have two -- Puerto Rico (US territory) and Illinois. What does this mean? DL doing a US headline tour in a mixture of venue types? If yes, it's unlikely there will be a 2025 Vegas residency as typically Vegas residency contracts say no full-up US tour in close proximity to a residency. Vegas doesn't want to compete with a tour. Or... are the PR and IL shows not indicative of what DL is doing in the US in 2025? They can do a handful of US shows and still do a Vegas residency -- that happened in 2013 and 2019. Or... will DL be the support for the North American AC/DC stadium tour that is rumored to be announced later this week, and the PR and IL shows (and perhaps other cities not yet announced) are just to fill-in slots on the calendar where there is no AC/DC show?

Not sure about DL being in the ACDC tour, at least in the US, I did see some possibly leaked dates and some are at arenas ( Prudential Center and MSG for example ) so ACDC do not really need a support act to sell out an arena. Maybe they will be billed together in Europe with them since ACDC has some European shows also lined up over there apparently. Tour'sannouncement for ACDC drops this thursday 7am ET. I think a bunch of scattered US dates after festivals and Europe will be followed by a residency in the fall...we'll know pretty soon is my guess : )

No Lep at download. Good lineup tho. Green Day Sleep Token and Korn as headliners. Saw Korn a couple weeks ago. Solid solid show. The old guard of classic rock acts is being replaced by bands I grew up with who are now almost in that same catagory. Sleep token is one of my favorite new bands but are they ready for a headline spot at download yet? Not even Ghost has got that, but I will say they are solid and have quickly developed an extremely loyal fanbase.

Very underwhelming bill. Lepps doing arena tour? Or maybe London Hyde Park though capacity is 65k? Wembley didn't sell well. Finsbury Park has 45k capacity could do that.

I think I might be wrong about the info I posted on the arena dates, looks like the announcement this thursday at 7am ET is by Linkin Park. That is why I think it is odd that ACDC play arenas, they are just too big to not play in stadiums. Either way their tour looks like will also be announced this week, one date in Minneapolis April 11 apparently leaked as well as a Milan July 25.

If they have another big tour lined up in 2025 and don't have anything going on in the first part of the year, it lines up quite nicely for them to finish off a new album in the next several months and get it out in time for that tour. I would imagine they would do something similar to what they did with DSH with a 2 year touring cycle behind it in different parts of the world. You place the orchestra residency at the end of either 2025 or 2026 and then make 2027 all about HYSTERIA. I think that's ideally what I'd like to see, but if even half of that becomes a reality what a time to be a fan! Didn't Joe already say they would be doing festivals? Also the rumoured Residency? or do you mean something else? Either way it's good News. Yes, It would be a great thing. I love the idea. Can't wait to hear the new album!!!!! |

Looking at the 3 mid year shows, first is May 15, second July 10.
Suggests either a European tour in June of about 15 shows. Maybe short UK arena tour, some European festivals.
Or a longer run in secondary markets in the Americas from May to August.
I am very keen to see Leppard in Europe as it's on my way home to Northern Ireland next summer! Seeing Maiden twice in Europe.
But my holidays don't start to June 20 so already looks like it maybe a Lepp-less holiday.
