I wonder if there is anything different planned for these types of shows that they're doing sort of outside the Lep/Journey tour? I mean, can they really come out and just do the same standard hits set they're doing on the Summer tour and playing 80-90 minutes? With this type of bill, they should be playing 120+ minute, full headline type sets. Too bad THIS is not a stadium tour package 😕. Rob

These 2 dates in Salt Lake City and Spokane are just dates that fill up gaps between stadium tour dates, don't expect anything different!

In 2011 Boise, ID got an in between show and got 3 extra songs added to the setlist. Gods of War, C’mon C’mon, Let it go.

There are 13 years between 2011 and 2024, the way DL shapes their setlists for the last stadium tours with Motley and Journey, they keep the same setlist, they sometimes add/drop a song or two at some part of the tour, but any additional dates don't have a "special variation ". That has happened only at their residencies in Vegas, or special warmup shows like Leadmill. IMO they have become a little bit stale and predictable with their live shows. Even though the SLC show is 2 days after the Stadium tour, don't expect the band to rehearse anything new in a gig that will happen 2 days after Denver. And who knows, maybe a couple more Stadium dates could be announced after SLC.

Never say never, but all indicators point to playing Pyromania front to back anyway, or maybe going heavy on the Pyro tracks. They also said maybe a few surprises…If they don’t play it in full, maybe rotate or swap some out, similar to the X tour. The show does need to breath a little bit more. Hopefully they will stick with just 3 bands, allow it to get back up to 18/19 songs 17 is a little short especially if you’re gonna keep Switch in there. Not true. I'm personally not going to these shows but I think a 5 or 6 song Pyromania 'section' akin to the way they've played side one of High n Dry in the past may be what they do (and would also be cool). Side one of Pyromania back to back would be Rock Rock, Photograph, Stage Fright, Too Late for Love and Diehard the Hunter. I know Photograph and Stage Fright are particularly hard to sing but surely do-able if not right at the beginning and Joe has a chance to warm-up. I also think they'll be keen to play the Drastic Symphonies vocal take of TLFL. I'm getting jealous just writing this fiction!!

Not planning to attend any shows on the summer tour either but still have a couple I'm debating. While part of me like's being surprised, sometimes I wish they would just advertise the set they're going to play! I mean, if I knew for sure they were going to play DHTH and TLFL or bust out Comin' Under Fire and celebrate Pyromania, I'd be getting tickets. But if it's Rock Rock opening again and then the standard hits setlist similar to the tour with Kiss, I'll pass. It seems pretty logical to think they'd be doing something in the set to promote the new Pyro release but I wish they'd actually come out and use that as a marketing and promotion tactic for this tour by saying they'll be playing some deeper cuts from it. Any idea what the Utah show will look like being that it’s on a much smaller scale than the stadiums? We do know that the Jason Bonham experience backed out and the opener is a DJ. Same setlist?

I think you answered your own questions. Looks like the amp has no ramp, and yes smaller venue, smaller crowd compared to the stadium shows. The setlists rotate 2 songs..one played each night.

They average 22,000+ every show the last 10 years I’ve been going to see them at this venue.

Feels so good not having to say Journey is on stage .... but having a DJ is no fun either.
3 Hours of Def Leppard would be cool lol
