Thank you so much as usual, CindyJ ! And also thanks to the guy who's feed we were watching - even if he got a few of the lyrics wrong! This has gotten me totally pumped for this weekend's shows!

Despite all of the things that could've derailed this set it was great and the band sounded awesome. 18 songs and 4 new I would think is a best case scenario on paper in 90 minutes. There were also a few surprises. Hope they keep things fresh and rotate a few songs in and out as they go along.

Great videos thanks for sharing them so soon. TWYW sounds amazing, that intro as the screen goes up is just pure rock star, gave me goosebumps. Not sure that the animation of the road being static works, I think that should be constantly moving, but thats a minor gripe in an otherwise great opener for me. Its going to be interesting to see how long Fire it Up stays in the set, hopefully its there for the tour as it freshens things up a bit. Love the setlist debates btw.

Just got back from the show(s), well, at least The Lepps and Crue. Too hot and nasty to endure more for this aging chap and wife. Although Poison sounded great in the two final songs I caught walking in. Crue's set up involves a LOT of funky and elaborate metal parts (and a few props) for the stage and the breakdown took FOREVER! But just as well since Truist Field has cramped concourse corridors and small bathrooms, so the extra time gave folks a chance to refresh and reload the beer / water without missing the start of DL's set. Of course, had we known we were gonna get doused with a torrential rain...no need for refreshing at the sink with some cool water! haha
The Lepps, ever the consummate pros, made it worth everyone's wait and their sound was incredible. Bigger and louder and cleaner than Crue's. And they sounded pretty good, but volume seemed a bit muted and muddy compared to DL. Thought it was because we were more to the side along the first base line with only one bank of speakers facing us, but DL blew that theory out of the water! Head scratcher extended acoustic set but I appreciated HYENSSB as something different after the big surprise of This Guitar, which was only meh IMO. Thank God TSB was short and sweet, but thought that meant they were setting it up for -- the horror! -- Rock On!! But Hallelujah right into Rocket!! \m/ \m/
At any rate, huge kudos to the boys for soldiering through the hard driving rain and not letting it, ahem, dampen their spirits!! Definitely the best they've ever sounded and that's saying a LOT!! And to play the guitars so well despite the rain and wet conditions, wow! Not the most inspired setlist but the new songs sounded like they belonged and I even enjoyed FIU more than I expected, sounded bigger and more impressive at that volume in that setting. TWYW is a ferociously fantastic new opener and really rocks, by far the best song off that record IMO. That one will stick for sure. Still needed Women somewhere else (coming out of the acoustic set?), Wasted or DSSG (rather than Excitable) and something else from HnD (preferably LIR) and maybe something like Rock Brigade (fairly short just over 3 mins?) from OTTN to really juice the set. Maybe they will mix it up if the new songs and acoustic stuff is any indication.
Finally, HUGE props to Vince Neil who sounded the best he's sounded in over a decade! Obviously put the time in to get ready and his voice was strong, on key mostly and he rarely pushed too hard or got breathless, despite prancing around in a long coat in the overbearing heat and humidity during the Wild Side opener. This Tour is going to be the best of the summer for sure and certainly deserving of sellouts across the nation!!

Hysteria - with new crowd participation section at the end

As Hysteria is my favorite song, I love any new twist they want to creatively add to it live. This new ending is cool too, I like it. I don't remember Joe doing call and response with the audience before. Where did the vocal part of this ending come from though? Is it made up fresh or is it from some other song, such as the tags from Beth by Kiss and Heroes by Bowie which Joe has sung on the end of Hysteria in recent years?
What I would LOVE most is if they would someday again play the opening of Hysteria like they used to live in the Hysteria and Adrenalize tour days, that bass followed by slow guitar intro. If you can hear me guys, please play it that way again! The beginning of this ending started to remind me of that a bit, since it came in with the bass first.

In the UK so not going to any of these shows in the States but I'm really happy to see that they boys are injecting some freshness into the setlist with four new songs, dropping one or two of the staples and putting a different spin on others too. Can't wait until they bring this to the UK. Very envious (but very happy for you too) of everyone going this summer. Enjoy!

Hysteria - with new crowd participation section at the end Only just noticed Rick on this, he has bass drum set up at the end of the ramp which hes playing before he bangs the gong (pardon the T Rex pun) at the end of the song. That screen on the side looks weird because its mirroring whats on stage and so everything is the opposite hand.

I wonder if any of that acoustic stuff was supposed to be at the end of the thrust and the bad weather put paid to it?

For anyone that may have missed it they also did a very brief snippet of Ziggy Stardust just before This Guitar.

Thank u also for these updates.
I too wonder if the weather changed things?...
And looks like the weather I drove home from last night at 5..3 hours north in Charlotte..looked like 11 at night..lightning, driving rain..the works 😥.
Very surprised at 4 new songs.

Hearing that Joe said they did change up the setlist due to the weather. Don't know if that was strictly a song-order change or an actual change to which songs they played. Did they drop a song(s)? Swap in something that wasn't planned?
