I wonder if Pete is going to make it over or not. If he does would the band keep it a surprise for the ceremony itself? I really hope that he and someone for Steve are there.

Take this with a grain of salt because I can't find another source or any detail on it. Just this short blurb. The link is back to the HOF website.

Is that outside of Fox News?? Facade of building looks familiar from my time in NYC. Were they on Fox & Friends this morning and not tell anyone?
Hmmm, spoz Sirius XM radio has offices in that same building?

Excerpt: Meanwhile, Elliott reveals that founding Def Leppard guitarist Pete Willis, who was replaced by Phil Collen in 1982, won’t be attending the Rock Hall ceremony. “[H]e’s about to become a grandfather for the third time, and he doesn’t want to leave home,” Joe reports. “[But] he’ll be mentioned on the night.” Source

Very disappointing. You can tell through the reasoning that this induction means absolutely nothing to Pete. Makes sense I suppose. Can you imagine what it would be like to be him having to see your old band reach high success after your departure. The RNRHOF induction just adds another twist of that old knife I would think. I can't imagine he would enjoy having to face media questions about what he has missed etc. #humiliating.

Sounds like a jam is planned.... Excerpt: But there is another close friend and influence who was also invited, but he’s unable make it — Ian Hunter, who fronted one of Joe Elliott’s favorite bands, Mott the Hoople. Elliott has long said that he wants Mott’s version of David Bowie’s (another hero) “All the Young Dudes” played at is funeral. Ian tells us he was asked to perform with them and Brian May at the end of the night, but he’s in rehearsals for Mott the Hoople’s tour, which starts Monday in Milwaukee. Source

I am crushed 😔 Gut wrenching... Maybe that’s a little more dramatic than it should be, but I needed this. Some bit of recognition for his contribution & closure maybe. I’m gonna go pout for a while and listen to Pete riffs! Am I reading too much in to this photo of them sitting on a bus with the caption, "Next Stop, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame?" Could they possibly plan to be in Cleveland next weekend when Mott the Hoople will be performing there?

Taken from video on Eric the Trainer's IG story. Looks like the band is doing soundcheck now (or just finished). Interesting since it seems everyone else did soundcheck yesterday. Guess there are perks to being the headliner -- you soundcheck last.
