Reading this over, seeing the Ballott knowing Jimmy is voting for them makes it real, it gives me chills. I know a lot of you could care less about the HOF but for me it's another piece of their legacy which they've earned.

I won't talk out of the four you chose, but your fifth needs to be Todd Rundgren.

I couldn't agree more Shawn. I know in the past even the band has said it's no big deal, but it is. They should have been at least nominated before this year. They've earned it. And they are still touring to sold out shows. On a side note to Jimmy Koplik, Todd Rundgren needs to be your fifth choice. Between his solo music and his band Utopia, he's also earned this. If you've never listened to Utopia, one of my favs is The Electrified Fairy Tale.

They have been on such an upward trajectory lately, this would really help keep the momentum going. If they don’t get in I’m gonna be furious. They have been one of the most blatant snubs of the last 10 years.

I hope to high heaven that TPTB realize how much their fans want this for them! I just hope they honor our wishes! This would be the perfect gift for their Christmas!

If you consider all of the factors at play here from their previous stature at their peak with the 2 diamond albums, their huge recent resurgence, all of the positive nostalgia that seems to follow them now on things like social media platforms, and just looking at what's going on with the fan vote, I really think their induction will be a slam dunk come mid-December. Better late than never!

Hey Shawn, were some of those prior year vote totals so high because they didn't restrict how many times you could vote in any fashion? Didn't someone have up over 33 million votes one year? That seems unfathomable for two months of voting even if there weren't any restrictions. Although I am voting 8 times a day now thanks to a few more accounts that my mom has. ;-) But even still, I'd be hard pressed doing it 3-5 times a day, or 25-40 times using all 8 accounts.

I think it was a combination of who was getting voted in and no limitation on how many times you could vote under one identity. I also think they had bots programmed to vote. But the HOF would never admit to that.. I mean look at Bon Jovi, arguable one of the biggest bands in the world only got 1.5 or so million votes. Where as this year we have really low tier bands with the exception of Def Leppard. I vote 8 times a day and we have been on a steady climb every day....as long as we finish first we have a decent shot at getting inducted.

I absolutely think we can! Here is the data for the past week: Date | DL Votes | 24 Hour Change | Lead | 24 Hour Change | 11/07/2018 | 357,368 | 9,841 | 58,478 | 3,835 | 11/08/2018 | 364,905 | 7,537 | 61,194 | 2,716 | 11/09/2018 | 371,080 | 6,175 | 62,955 | 1,761 | 11/10/2018 | 376,254 | 5,174 | 64,651 | 1,696 | 11/11/2018 | 381,201 | 4,947 | 66,381 | 1,730 | 11/12/2018 | 386,732 | 5,531 | 68,349 | 1,968 | 11/13/2018 | 395,660 | 8,928 | 71,847 | 3,498 |
All figures are from around 10:00 PM EST. November 11 is about the lowest numbers I've seen since I started keeping track. Even if that low point is all that's achieved each day from here on out, we will still cross 500,000 votes and a 100,000 lead.

Will hit 500,000 and 100,000 lead by the end of November I think.
550,000 total, 115,000 lead by end of voting.
Would be a travesty if they weren't inducted.
Happy days!

Taylor Swift voted for Def Leppard. How is it that Taylor Swift Can Vote? Rock Hall website says this.... Each year, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation's nominating committee selects the group of artists nominated in the performer category. Ballots are then sent to more than 1,000 historians, members of the music industry and artists—including every living Rock Hall inductee—and the five performers receiving the most votes become that year's induction class. Beginning in 2012, fans were given the chance to vote for the nominees they'd like to see inducted into the Rock Hall. The top five vote-getters in the public poll form one ballot, which is weighted the same as the rest of the submitted ballots. #### Based on that, it's not only those artists who have been inducted who can be sent a ballot.

The Voting analytics year to year is mind boggling to me. How they can go from millions and million of voters to the Top Vote getting 500,000 Votes is beyond me.
Like last year Judas Priest came in 5th with roughly 500,000 Votes and didn't get inducted. Had they come in 1st with 500,000 the story might have been written differently.
The HOF has gone on record stating they (Judas Priest) did well with the fan voting but when it came to the Industry Voting they did horribly. Which must have been devastating to such an Iconic band.
I think in order to make things a bit more transparent and fair they should make the fan vote & Industry Vote =.
Then i think the bands that get in there had a fair shot.
