At the beginning of the video, he asked Norman (a guy I met at the pub beforehand as well as in Vegas 2013) what the score was in the football/soccer game was because he was wearing a Sheffield jersey. They were playing tonight too and my Uber driver said it was an important game and they lost. He said the stadium holds 75,000 people, so between the Lep concert, the soccer/football game and Christmas parties, they were really busy.

I would say that Joe last night was the roughest I’ve heard him on this tour yet, don’t get me wrong he wasn’t bad, he’s just getting to that end of tour stage. But as always the Sheffield shows bring out an extra 10% in the bands performance. You can visibly see it, Sav and Joe especially, how they move around, how they interact. So many times I’ve seen the band in Sheffield and time and time again they don’t really add anything too different in to the set. But last night was different for a couple of reasons, the hall of fame announcement and Steve Clark. Obviously the hall of fame mentions got big cheers and clearly the band are pleased by the announcement. But Steve’s tribute video got the biggest reception I’ve heard on the 4 shows I’ve been to, also when Joe mentioned his mum later that also got a good response and I think the fact it was a home crowd made that difference. On the face of it you’d think that Run riot would be a dip in the set, not as popular as the singles and a bit heavy. But this point here in the song is where it elevates it to become a high point in the set with the audience participation, it’s been a surprise high in the set I think of the 4 shows I’ve been to so far. |

It's been pretty awesome to see all these venues on this UK leg just packed to the gills with people still bunched pretty close together all the way at the back of the floor.
