"Audience begins to occupy well premium track. Def Leppard still on stage, almost 1 hour. Expectation by Who raises. "

Photograph. Wow. Can they play 14 songs faster than this? Ready to just get out of there evidently.

Well, the first photo is rather misleading as can be seen by the photos and video taken throughout the show. It was less than half full for most of Def Leppard's show. According to Twitter, the crowd had started to fill-in about the time they were doing LGR. By the time the end-of-show photo was taken, everyone had shown up for The Who. multi-photo http://instagram.com/p/BZhsSYbjtUJ

The reality is that whenever someone opens a show then there may be some apathy towards that support act from fans of the headline band. Seems like thats what happened here, the majority were there for The Who. Are Leppard a good fit for a band like The Who music wise? Probably not IMO. But that shouldn't diminish what a great honour it must have been for the band to open for a legendary act like this.

When you see Jeffs video here (from about a minute in) you realise how small the venue was from it could have been in a stadium. Jeff also comments on how sparse the crowd was too.
