NEW POLLBRETT IS AT IT AGAIN [RUMOR ONLY]Yup i was just told that Brett Michaels said on stage in Franklin, TN @ The Franklin Theatre that both bands would be teaming up for a tour next year. Now for those of you following along at home i think Brett has said this every year for the last 5 years maybe more. 2 of those years it actually happened...and was heavily rumored to happen last summer on the Kiss Tour. EDIT: I also confirmed with a 2nd person at another show Brett mentioned them teaming up for a tour again next year. So 2 people at 2 different shows.....did anyone mention this to DEF LEPPARD? LMAODO YOU CARE IF DEF LEPPARD TOURS WITH POISON AGAIN?

I voted other.
I don't want to see Poison again and I don't think it would be a smart business move for this to happen every three years.
However...
My main concern is with the length of Def Leppard's set and what it consists of. 2012 was the best tour they've done in the US setlist wise since the package tour craze began IMO. So if we get something similar, with DL playing 100-110 minutes and 18-20 songs, I can put up with Poison again.

I have never seen Poison live, so that would be okay with me. I would rather it be Poison than Kiss.

I love Poison, but I want to see them headline instead of Bret demanding they play the same 11 songs every single year opening up for bigger acts. Honestly we here in Lep-world think we have it bad when it comes to setlists, but it's nowhere near as bad as it is with Poison.

Lets mix it up just a bit, huh? For a 3rd rate opener try Loverboy! Im sure they`d be happy to play at better than Couny Fair levels again.

I just got Deja Vu really bad.... I'm with Curt and went other. I just want Leppard headlining and playing fuller sets. I almost don't even care who they tour with if they are playing 100-110 minutes and playing a new song or two as well as a couple deeper tracks that haven't been played regularly. About the only thing I'd say "Hell No" to at this point is Kiss again. I do like Poison but I think there are better choices and really can't see them teaming up a third time. Personally, I think something like a Leppard/Tesla, Leppard/Night Ranger or Leppard/Whitesnake tour would be better....Unless, they want to add in Poison as the third act playing the Lita Ford 6 song set 2015 should be pretty interesting. I voted other. I don't want to see Poison again and I don't think it would be a smart business move for this to happen every three years. However... I chose "other". I, as others have already said, care most about the length of Leppard's set. Even though my preference would be for the band to have someone other than Poison open (not because I dislike Poison - I don't - but just to see a different artist), the most important thing is for Def Leppard to be the sole headliner and play a set length indicative of that headlining status. If it takes touring with Poison to get a setlist of that length (because other options would be more of a co-headlining situation), so be it.

Not to sound redundant but I agree with prettymuch everyone on here. My main focus is DL. They could tour with the Allman Brothers and I wouldnt complain. And I do LOVE Poison but I have seen them twice now, I do love the arrangement of the show when it is those 2 bands because u can also tell that they are all good friends. Unlike the Heart tour... but me being only 19 I would love to see other bands I have yet to see like Whitespace or Loverboy... cause I might not spend the money otherwise to go see them if Lepps are in town. But together I'd get a package deal. Kinda like this year with KISS. I for one love them and was so happy because im never gonna get an opportunity to be that close to them again. So for me im just happy that they keep touring and cannot wait for 2015. It cant get here soon enough!!! :-D

I still think Poison is a fun band, and if the DL set is decided regardless of the opening band, I think I would rather have Poison than some band I've never heard of...

I want 2 hours of Leppard. AC/DC as opening act! Not greedy.

Really what I want for this tour is no big name co-headlining act, just one small band on the level of KOATL or Dead Dasies that plays for 30 minutes, and then 2 hours for Leppard. This would likely mean them playing smaller arenas if they played indoors, but they could still probably play the same sheds they've been doing since the beginning of time. Amphitheater shows seem to be profitable no matter what.
I would so much rather see a two hour show in a 6,000 seat Arena like we have here in Denver (1stBank Center) than 90 minutes playing a half full Pepsi Center with a big opening act. In 2012 when they went out with Poison, the upper deck wasn't even sold for most of the arena dates. They should just swallow their pride and do slightly smaller venues in the 5,000 range (which is near what some of the shows on that tour drew anyways.)
Then they would be playing to packed houses and more engaged audiences (since there wouldn't be any people there primarily to see Poison or whoever else.) You know, an audience that might actually know some of the deeper cuts that they're always afraid to play on a co-headliner.

I feel like this is too unlikely to happen with the band planning to do more residencies in Vegas. This is bringing that intimacy on tour, which will hurt ticket sales in Vegas. It would be awesome yes, but I don't believe we will see that happen within a few years either side of any residency.

It would be awesome yes, but I don't believe we will see that happen within a few years either side of any residency. Theres no reason not to do those kind of shows in other parts of the world, the question is if it will work financially. I think that doing an arena tour of the states, then going straight to Vegas for a residency is a bad idea. Vegas is a special event where fans who go to it will have a good idea that what they will see will be different show to a regular tour of arenas. So I think it needs to be treated as such, where the Vegas dates aren't in close proximity to a full US tour. So they could be touring the rest of the world and then come back for a Vegas residency. For that matter I don't think they should announce a Vegas residency at the same time as a regular US tour announcement, it should be special. Basically I'm saying minimise the possibility that a fan has to choose between a Vegas gig or a regular show, because they either clash announcement wise or its too close to a regular tour. Take Kiss as an example, they have just done a tour with Lep, they do their cruise soon and then they go straight to Vegas for a residency. That to me is bad planning. I saw a few posts where fans where saying they wished they'd held off on the cruise tickets once Vegas was announced. So it will be interesting to see how their Vegas shows sell. But I think Vegas is aiming at a wider market than a regular US tour, its aimed at fans travelling within the US obviously, but it also attracts fans from worldwide and also any casual fans who may be holidaying there at that time of year. Touring with Poison again doesn't seem a wise move to me, unless its going to be smaller arena venues or if they take Poison worldwide with them, because Poison rarely tour outside of the US.

I'm neither here nor there on Poison. They aren't bad live, but there don't get me excited either. But, with that said, I'd probably sit through a One Direction show if I knew Leppard were on next.

They could do a medley of 'Midnight Memories' and Sugar, and people wouldn't know when they switched from one song to the next.
