Rick was an interesting choice for this. I mean -- he's on Twitter all the time, right? More than any of the other guys. Seems odd to use him for the Q&A and not Joe or Sav (who really have no social media stuff at all).
I can't remember -- maybe those two already did Q&As? Or, at least, Joe? Anyone remember for sure?

If the last ones with joe and Phil are anything to go by there's no point submitting questions now as they were answering new questions live as the appeared on twitter.

Ok -- I thought I remembered Joe doing it. Still seems funny to have the next guy be pretty much the one that uses Twitter pretty regularly.  But, I guess there are probably lots of fans that don't even know about Rick's personal Twitter. So, it still makes sense. It was probably easiest to GET Rick to do it compared to the other guys since he's already a Twitter guy. It would just be cool to see some social media stuff done with Sav, for example, who is otherwise pretty disconnected from everything. - John... |

Oh, indeed -- my point was simply that, of all the guys, Rick likely does the most social networking (especially on Twitter) already. Therefore, I'd love to see one of the guys that AREN'T always on Twitter doing a Twitter Q&A, you know? I love Rick - but if I want to ask him a question on Twitter, I can just tweet to @rickallenlive and he'll often answer! But I won't likely get an answer from Phil on Twitter (because he isn't there that much) and I certainly won't get an answer from Joe, Viv, or Sav on Twitter (because they aren't there at all!) So, out of the 5 guys, Rick seems the LEAST of the 5 that I'd want to see an official Q&A from on Twitter -- simply because he's already THERE and accessible to anyone at any time. It's been an "official Rick Q&A" on Twitter for well over a year now! Again, I don't want anyone to take that wrong. To be honest, Rick is my favorite member of the band. But we can already get to him on Twitter because he's so into social media. So I hope that we see someone like Sav doing one soon -- since he's clearly NOT into social media. - John... |

I'll have to wait until someone puts the questions and answers together again. I really don't like how they do these -- since you can't actually follow along easily and see what is being asked and answered. Heck, many Twitter users might not see the answers at all because of the way they @mention the person in the replies.  - John... |

Thankfully on my phone (iPhone 5) I'm able to go to DL's tweets and see the questions w/ replies. Just have to refresh the feed.

I did get an email saying he responded to a question of mine Asked him to name a band he'd like to tour with and never has... AC/DC and Aerosmith were his responses.... Either one of those would make for a pretty sweet show |

I'll try to type up some of the better questions. Q) Is the band currently working on new material? A) Yes, we just met last night - myself, Phil, and Viv. Very exciting to pool all ideas we have. Q) Do you prefer regular stage or in the round? A) I don't care where the stage is as long as there's poeple in the building. Q) Any chance of a Viva Slang happening? A) That record is definitely an enigma. Maybe... Q) Do you like Gladiator movies? A) I loved the movie Gladiator and loved the music.  Q) Is there a band you'd like to see DL tour with who they haven't toured with before? A) We would love to go out there with AC/DC or Aerosmith. Q) What is your favorite song off Pyromania? A) Rock Of Ages. It sets an audience alight. Q) After all these years, are there any DL songs that are a challenge for you to play, or are they all second nature by now? A) Try putting your arm behind your back and playing any of these songs and you'll find the answer. |

A) How free we became with changing the set and not being afraid to do something different - stark contrast to the norm. Q) When answering that ad all th ose years ago, did you ever imagine what heights the band would hit?
A) I guess the answer is no but I couldn't see past the end of today at that age - I was just in the moment. I never take it for granted.
Q) Do you have any songs you've written that might turn up on anything new that Def Leppard will do?
A) Always ideas I am working on. There are 3 new ideas I will be presenting soon.
Q) Do you and the boys ever think about doing one more album with Mutt Lange?
A) We would love to - we've written songs with him, but he's so busy these days and it's difficult to pin him down.

A) He is happy all the time and yes. He lives next door!

A) Some of the moments that were more private. I'm not sure people realized how sweet he was. He was always really supportive of me.
